    I am very happy with my XT5. It works for me. If I had a choice between the stacked sensor and the 40 mp sensor I would have gone with the 26mp. 26 has been just fine with me in the past. But I too do not like big camera equipment which is one of the big reasons I shoot Fuji. My previous camera was the XS-10 which I got because I wanted IBIS but I missed the earlier ergonomics of an XT-3 which I sold and still regret selling it til this day. It was my favorite til the XT-5. Bigger battery, smaller size, ISO 125 which surprised me, new processor and the tilt screen. To me they just gave me what I wanted added to what I had in my XT-3.

      With the raw files I have found that you can only compress to make the file sizes smaller. With the jpegs you have a lot more options. You have the options to adjust not just the image quality but also the image size. You have 2 settings in image quality, fine and normal. Fine being the larger file. If you shoot jpegs you could make the file size smaller. If I shoot at the highest jpeg setting I get a little over the 20mp. With the raw file I shoot compressed which for me was about 30mp. I don’t shoot uncompressed because the files are huge, over 80mp.

    Well said my friend. I finally upgraded from my old XT-2 and what an upgrade that was. I tried both the XH2 and XT5 and while there are quite a few reasons to choose the XH2 I just enjoy using the XT cameras much more. My biggest complaint with the XH2 was the inability to change iso with a command dial. This is something fuji could fix so easy in a firmware update. I just wish more people would complain about it.
    I still have the Nikon Z6 and while the image output is great and the 24-120 is the most amazing travel lens I have ever used, the Nikon just does not inspire me to go out and shoot. I consistently reach for the Fuji. There is just something unique about the fuji images.

    My main reason was none of this. It is the 7 + 7 Custom Settings - 7 for video and 7 for photography. Differently from the X-T4 in video each customer setting can control everything. This makes it even more powerful and easy to use than the X-H2 or X-H2S with its PASM dial. You actually label them, and they are displayed on the screen when you want to select them. And yes - you actually have twice the number of custom settings therefore than the X-H2 cameras.

    No, not for everyone. I’m currently in the process of getting rid of my entire Fujifilm kit, including the GFX system for a single Leica M11 kit. I was hoping that with the introduction of the H line Fujifilm would commit more to photography in other models like the T, Pro and X100 series (which all of them I owned) where it totally makes sense and maybe even get rid of video completely, but it seems like they are currently more interested in UA-cam influencers than actual photographers and it’s just a matter of time until even cameras like the Pro and X100 series will be permanently crippled with IBIS and more stuff that is compromising image quality and user experience for convenience. After using my M11 for some time now I can clearly see the difference in both from the only camera that truly deserves the “Photography First” title as opposed to one that is designed with UA-cam influencers in mind.

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  Рік тому +1

      I am curious, why are you bothered by IBIS? And what do you want more on Fujifilm cameras? What Leica has and Fuji hasn't?

    • @TomWangArt
      @TomWangArt Рік тому

      @@AndreiDimaReviews I actually want less. After Fujifilm got all inflencers covered with the H line I was hoping that bodies like the T, Pro and X100 line would get rid of video completely and focus on the best possible image quality and user experience but this is clearly not the case and the reason why I’m getting rid of all my Fuji bodies for the M system. IBIS btw. (along with PDAF) is a feature that compromises quite a bit of image quality for convenience, which is not exactly my conception of getting the best output from the camera sensor and not the reason why I would pick a dedicated camera over my phone.

      @@TomWangArt what mirrorless camera system has photography focusing technology equal or better than on sensor PDAF?

    • @TomWangArt
      @TomWangArt Рік тому

      @@yanniobkirk5744 If you think your photos are not good enough beacause your AF is 0.001s too slow then clearly the problem is not the camera. As for myself, I don't care TBH as I focus manually all the time and I have somehow managed to create award winning photographs that have been displayed at events like the Photokina (and BTW, the best photos of all times still have been created that way, on cameras much worse than what we're using today). There are cases where AF is cruicial for sure, like in sports and wildlife photography f.e. where getting the shot would be of higher priority than the best possible image quality, but I'm assuming that we're not talking about those genres here. The problem is that all UA-cam influencers will make you believe that you are not able to take a single shot without a buttload of computational aids anymore, and most manufacturers sadly started addapting to this trend. There's no varienty to choose from as they stuff all features possible into small bodies, whether useful or not, because they are more concerned about online reviews than actual photographers, while all brainwashed people will be more concerned about an impressive spec sheet than exceptional photos.

    You have bizarre reasons as to why you chose this camera! 😵
    I own both a Fujifilm XT4 and Sony A7iii. The Sony A7iii is lighter than the Fuji, and if you get the compact G lenses it's the same size/weight, the battery is more than 50% better, for the type of video you shoot where you put artificial grain all over it why does 10 bit or 4.2.2 even matter + you're uploading to UA-cam that will make it negligible anyways, having the lowest ISO possible is something you needed to do for cameras from 15 years ago... most if not all modern cameras are ISO invariant and full frame cameras have usable ISO all the way up to 6400 and sometimes more, and Sony autofocus completely decimates Fuji eye autofocus. Plus you get all the perks of full frame, like better noise performance, better dynamic range and better bokeh. I'm keeping the XT4 around because it has a flippy screen, but when I get the A7iv I'll be deleting Fujifilm from my life.

      Interesting thought. I must admit I have considered this as well ... Still with Fuji today though :) Some benefits of Fuji are: (1) analogue shooting experience with lots of buttons and dials, (2) great film sims and colours, (3) APSC lenses are often smaller, lighter and cheaper than FF lenses... It is a tricky decision though. There are many arguments in favour of FF Sony too!

      Was this a comparison with Sony? No. This is a Fujifilm channel and this video was for people who want to upgrade from an older Fujifilm camera to a newer Fujifilm camera.
      Does Sony decimate Fujifilm when it comes to video autofocus, no, it is better but I see you like to exaggerate.
      And regarding ISO it seems you really don't know what you are talking about, did you listen to what I said in the video? Do you even know what ISO invariance is?
