There is 27 yog--vishkambh, priti--If Male Ravi and female chandra yog & female Ravi and male chandra yog can help us for good couple.only 9 yog are bad.We can see where the yog in lagna kundali & navansh kundali.also krur and rakshas gan nakshatra.

Well each determine different aspect of relationship. It is said that if jup and moon are in 7th house then spouse is beautiful. So 7th house in d9 is related to appearance of spouse. Darakaraka is partly your experience in relationship in past lives. Whereas upapada is what exactly happening in a marriage. So let's say if there is infidelity in marriage and what is the family background of spouse and how socially reputed the spouse is that will be seen from upapada. As for 7th lord in navamsa , i do not know.

Does it really punish or keep a check on such individuals... Because they seem to flourish and some of them have died peacefully as well... So how to apply this rule?

9th Lord has to be seen for d1 or chalit chart, lest say for Sagittarius ascendent someone has sun as 9th Lord in d1 but in chalit he has mercury as 9th Lord due to bhav sandhi. So which planet actually is 9th Lord ???
