Hey guys, just an FYI this was unranked mode (pubs). I switched to unranked to give super beginner tips! I have some more advanced ranked stuff on the way so stay tuned!
I would also like to know if you do one on one coaching. I have decent mechs in creative but very low frames in game and want to know how to transfer them into game with low frames. Jivan you are the goat and it has been crazy watching you improve over the years 😃
As a player (an "OG") returning from not playing since chapter 1 season 7, I cannot thank you enough for these videos. Even though I was considered a very good builder then, the building I know from then is completely useless now, and I have been so lost on where to start when it comes to the new box fights/piece control, leaving me feeling alone in this situation. I have seen all the maps and tutorials on how to do it, but have had no idea how to really apply it in a real game, and all of the tutorials are much more advanced. Making this beginner tutorial is exactly what I needed, as knowing the logic and thought process behind box fighting is what really will make me able to compete. I am sure anyone out there in my situation feels the same way, keep doin what you're doing man, its a life saver.
@@kekscho-k7p ig he can be considered one? If not wrong, its from 2019. Im from s5 personally and getting smacked by these kids doing triple edits and piece control
Loooove the slow-mo on everything. So many beginner videos say “do this” and it’s too crazy and I can’t follow what’s going on. This was beautiful. It definitely gives a good idea of what to practice! (I still don’t have the accuracy for the peaks, but working on that too!)
I love how all your videos are well made and you actually care about the beginners. This really helped me out keep it up, I love how you went to get 120 ping to prove it's not about the ping.
he didnt really "prove it's not about the ping" he just handicapped himself for a beginner tutorial. it really is about the ping and if he was playing ranked hed get destroyed. or maybe not hes goated
You should make more videos like these. It's really helpful to learn how to fight in realistic scenarios and see what goes on in the head of a good player like you.
one of the things I struggle with most is tracking the enemy in build/box fight scenarios, even watching this you took some peeks and I didn't even realize the guy was there, thought he was in some other box or still highground in my own gameplay I often hear someone picking at my wall and I don't even know which one so they just take it so fast lol
Not sure what headset you have but if it is decent, turning on 3d audio completely changed my gameplay in fortnite. It muffles audio and then will increase(or what it sounds like to me is it takes away the muffle) only in one ear based off the direction it is from, making it so much easier than regular audio settings.
Thank you, the director's commentary was really helpful in understanding these fights. My APM is like 10APM and pings are almost always 100, so very much a casual player here.
Thanks Man!!, I´m new here and seeing this was mind-blowing, I wish more tutorials I could find were with ping in mind, on my end it's 89ms on a great day, and 92 regularly with dips to 1900 some few random times, and I believe that's a big disadvantage when playing with others who surely have extremely low latencies. Btw, I'm curious about your hardware set, what's your keyboard? :0
this is actually very helpful, im on like 80 ping in game and you were on 120-170 in some of these fights, so now I know this can work in my gameplay. :D
the fact that hes gameplay is way less delayed and smoother compared to me on 60 ping on eu vs 120 ping him on eu says a lot about how good my isp is keeping the connection and they are definitelly not causing any packetloss whatsoever or bufferbloat :)
I literally was searching up W jey thing and came across one of your old vids but it seemed way too advanced but no worries cuz jivan knows what we need
yo jivan you should make a series called how to get out of where you give fighting tips on how to get out of a specific rank like you could go from bronze to champion
Im not a bot im in the champion rank but still i watch the "beginner" videos because they sometimes show things i didnt know and i can improve on. Just earned a sub!
and there you have it. the struggle of 120 ping on a daily basis that South African players have to go through. all these plays we try to make just like he did and then it ends up not working because you don't get the builds.
You still think I can improve from switching to old gen to pc that can run 240 but I’m only playing on 60hz or do I need to buy a different monitor to help me improve more
Can u help a little please I am subscribed to u so look when I play creative or a 1v1 I don't panic but when I go to a real game i start panicking is there anyway how to fix it?
Jivan you’re my favorite UA-camr! Good tips bro this is going to help me a lot. I am starting competitive Fortnite because of you, but I’m still a noob 😂. Anyone got any tips or maps on how to build and fight at the same time? I always forget to build when I’m fighting someone and tend to act like an AI. 😢
My skill hasn’t improved much since season 10 of the first chapter due to some seasons are hit or miss for me and most have been miss since the removal of the old map but last summer and more recently I’ve found myself needing to learn a whole new way to play despite me already being pretty good. Issue is so is everyone else.
