why can't i 1. read a rfid 2. save it and 3. emulate it? (key for a spa)
the app does read it, but then i see no option to save it.
I'm very confused. It will read my NFC keycard, but when I try to copy it I get an error even after paying for pro.
More likely your nfc card got protection
emulating a card doesn't work for me even after buying pro. do you have any idea, why?
my galaxy s8 runs android 9. might that be the problem? do i need a higher android version? cause reading and writing usual passive nfc chips works astonishingly smoothly

I have tried this feature on Samsung S5 mini, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact and now Sony Xperia 5iii. Never actually got it to work.
Scanning device always says "Empty tag" no matter what I try to emulate (Contact, URI, WiFi network, etc)

I need to save NFC tags that I have copied and then emulate them. How do I save the scanned NFC tags? I don't see an option to save them. It will let me copy to infinity but only one tag at a time and I can't save them.

That's the problem I'm having, I bought the pro version for this and it doesn't even work smh.. and their excuse is that the app generates a random UID.
What if I know the UID? There are apps out there that can change the UID with no problems, why can't you? It's a lame excuse, there is no other option sorry... 😑

You can easily buy RFID device and copy your current key to another.
This video is NOT how to emulate a NFC tag, this just copies tags for phones,
I don't think you know what the word "emulate" means... It lets you play it on a phone, rather than the original hardware. This phone is pretending to be a tag, by putting out the same signal a tag would. The phone that just opened the link doesn't know a phone sent that. It thinks it scanned and NFC tag.
@@fenrirnobody2694 I think your misunderstanding the word emulate, the phone is not emulating the tag, it can scan it but so can any other device with this app, this app doesn't allow emulation, it doesn't all the phone to act as the tag which you have scanned which is what is meant by emulation
@@n4thb4dc0 it totally does that though... Take the phone with the "copied" tag, and place it against a reader while in the emulate function. I will indeed, act as a card. If I do this right now, emulate my NFC chip in my hand, I can place the phone on my laptops reader, and it will unlock my computer.

ios devices can only read they cant emulate them selves and plus if u have a phone of 5s or older it wont be able to read cause there is no nfc and sometimes the android device might not have an nfc emulator too

It just scans tags, which can be done on any other device without this app, saying that this emulates tags is false advertising, I tried it and it doesn't emulate

Why the 2nd scan task variable can't be executed? I create task that do different job in 1st and 2nd tap, write it to nfc tag. Everytime i scan it with my phone it always execute the 1st scan counter condition
It's likely because android seems to generate a random UID each time, so if your script it looking for two taps from the same UID that would do it.
it doesn't work for amiibo why ?
Guys, I would like to use my RFID card as base to emulate. I have a card that I use to open a door and I want to open with my phone. I already have your Pro App version ;)
Sorry but it's not possible to emulate door cards because those type of cards are read protected with unknown private keys or have to use a fixed UID (Android generate a random UID)

No you need to root your Phone then install a App that is doing your job
It can’t read my NFC tag and the tag is ok. When I begin creating an automation started by reading an NFC tag, the iPhone reads it just fine so it’s this app.

no, they need special nfc tags so they wont work here. you can download the tagmo app from the internet and copy amiibo bin dumps to other nfc-215 tags
The problem is that I want to emulate an NFC tag, first by making a profile using it's data which I cannot fill in using the "create record" options.
Fix that.

what kind of record is a .bin file?
This actually requires you to have two apps: NFC Tools and NFC Tasks. If you try to type the location of the file manually it won't work. After you have both, you have to set up which folder you want to root to. Then, you just go to Add a record > File > Storage (button next to text box) > and select your file

No sorry, you cannot emulate Amiibo cards because they are protected by a private key.

About the emulate NFC is fake. It isn't fake. It's just that the video doesn't give enough information.
You can read NFC tags all you want. But to write, or emulate, you would need a rooted Android device.
It's just some barebone Android permission.

Sorry but for security reasons, some NFC chips are protected against reads and writes.
Imagine if everyone could copy your credit card or your access badge with a simple app, it would be very dangerous.
This is why, technically speaking, it's not possible to copy or emulate these sorts of NFC cards :
- Door access badges
- Bank / credit cards
- Transport cards
- Amiibo
- Other protected cards
Also, the Android system doesn't allow developers to define the UID that is used for emulation.
This UID will be randomly generated by Android.
With NFC Tools, you can only emulate standard records like URL, TEXT, ...

@@wakdev no, it is still not working. I am trying to emulate a simple url record. The second phone, does not have nfc tools installed. It just has nfc reader in active mode but it can not read the emulated tag (with url). What am I doing wrong?
