Nicki Positano Have you visited the cemetery on Capri ? Gracie Fields is buried there and both the Catholic and non Catholic parts of the cemetery are really worth a look.

You have no idea how slow the internet service is here. It takes hours to upload a 10 minute video and while it is uploading nobody can use the internet at all! I have to do it overnight and sometimes it cuts out and I have to start again. However next video is 14 minutes long!

Capri is just gorgeous and that hotel I wouldn't mind staying in. My photo is a painting of Capri, that I purchased well taking a cruise to Nassau. Believe or not this huge painting is still in the box since Dec 2016, there is a story why.

David Hall spectacular walk, isn’t it. I have now walked it twice, and was blissed out the first time. The second time it was so rammed it was shocking. Definitely one to avoid on a bank holiday.

Hi Joy, I'm Carlo, Thank you very much for the comment, You must have misunderstood, tourists in this area are not only welcome, but they are also necessary for the economy, the same for those who want to settle here, but, it is also true that in some periods of the year there are many tourists who in some hours of the day, you can not even walk, or use the car, in fact very rarely residents use it throughout the summer, in short, there are unfortunately negative sides about tourism, also because this area, not only positano, is developed vertically, and there is not much space, just to give an example, I have no idea how big your living room is, but try to imagine 20 people, in your living room, they could all be too your best friends, but they'd be tight and uncomfortable, and 20 people don't fit in my living room. this reflection was meant to be just an observation, and not a complaint!

We need tourism and welcome tourists but it can be overwhelming especially on the peninsula. We have invested heavily in our waterfront and can have 3-5 cruise ships at a time. Also, I live close to a provincial beach that we choose not to use in the summer months because of the volumes of people. I do like to travel though where tourists are treated well, so I'm glad I posted the comment and was able to read your response. I'm really looking forward to visiting once coronavirus is under better control. Happy New Year.

But darling, everyone wants to see beautiful things, so if it's a place, they go see it right? I would too, there is nothing strange about that, I think. Museums are full of beautiful things too, and they can be full of people, or am I wrong?

David Hall Ah yes, I was staying up in Nocelle, just at the end of the Path, which was brilliant. In Positano my legs hurt pretty much all holiday.
