The dark soy sauce is to give its color and it is less sodium than the light soy sauce. As for the cooking wine you can substitute with the Sherry wine instead!!!
Thanks for the easy to follow videos. Can you please let me know which wine that was again and which brands of oyster sauce & soy sauce to get? I was in the Asian market today & there were way too many choices. I was so overwhelmed and had no clue which would make my food taste best. Thanks
You said there was no substitute for oyster sauce. I’m allergic to seafood I cannot have oyster sauce. There must be something we can use in order to make this dish.
You can't call it chinese food until you go to China, open a restaurant there, sell your so call "chinese" chicken broccoli and people actually eats it

You can just remove the oyster sauce completely if your are allergic to seafood. Just add more of the dark soy sauce instead

Hi, I was able to find a vegetarian mushroom oyster sauce, so that is something I would consider.
