I've been cruising with my family for over 20 yrs and never had to take my passport off the ship. Sailed on MSC Seashore this past January and didnt need it. The more you talked the madder I got!! How dare they take your money and tell you that you can't get it back!! The people handling that excursion messed up really bad and they were trying to cover it up. That manager wasn't that busy that he couldn't see you for 4 days!! If they returned your money it would have been an admission of quilt for them and they would have to explain to corporate why! The excursion staff need to be reprimanded!! I'm so glad you went to GS and it worked out for you.. Thank you for mentioning the families that save up for these trips. God bless your family🙏🏾💕

Been on every Cruise line and have taken my passport off ship in every port Reason being is that if you were to ever get stuck in port I’ve also been on over 60 Cruises and just got off Royal Caribbean and they always say to take your passport with you
Such a good point that this could have been a vacation you saved up for years! We only can go on one vacation every few years because I work in healthcare, and if this had been us I would have been so upset. I ran an errand so I missed the beginning of this Live so I watched from the beginning. I agree with you. It’s the total experience including how well customer service is handled. Poor customer service can be a deal breaker for a perfect vacation causing you to say I never want to do business with your company again, especially if they don’t even listen attentively to your complaints and behave in a dismissive manner. You guys were awesome and stuck to convictions and didn’t take “No” for an answer. I’m so proud of you! 👏🏾 👍🏾

I just showed my son your video and he said the excursion crew is going to get chewed out for that. MSC is a European cruise line that's competing with other lines now in the Caribbean. That's why they're coming out with these mega ships like Royal, Carnival and NCL. They don't want mistakes like that! If it doesn't happen again, it'll be because of you😊💕

Rich and Jazzy!, I always enjoy the content and your beautiful family. I had my first cruise in 2021 after cruising restarted on MSC and I won't be going on a second MSC Cruise! We felt customer service was appalling and that includes the wait staff. We couldn't be sure if the staff was not properly trained or prepared. Example 1, Pina Colada mix was not available in one bar at all, they never had the mix in stock. Example 2, we ordered Surf and Turf in MDR that was on the menu and told that was not available even though we were willing to pay the extra cost! Example 3, the 3 MDR dinners my husband selected were all badly prepared (my MDR dinners were all good). He was so disgusted we never had another MDR dinner for our cruise. Keep it real, fight for your dollars. They were truly at fault on your excursion disaster!

I have always left my passport in my cabin and just had a picture on my phone. My first cruise was on the MSC Divinia everything was a 10 excluding the food was a 3, hopefully it has gotta better now.
Thank you for the update. In all honesty still waiting to hear from someone who gave MSC a solid review. I’ve cruised on Royal, Norwegian, Celebrity and Carnival. I would like to try other cruise lines but I will wait before getting on MSC.
We’ve been on MSC six times. Most recently in February on the same ship as in the video, Seashore. We find MSC to be on the same level as NCL and a step above Carnival. We are NCL Platinum and Carnival Gold. Their situation was definitely unfortunate and their treatment afterward was abhorrent but it is not the norm.
Yall!! We went on an MSC and it was horrible... in the beginning. Like you said, it was alot of people's first cruise and they said that it was their last!! We tried to assure them that they should not make a determination based on this cruise. I am open to cruising with them again, only because they compensated us for the inconvenience (long story), and because the cruise did get better after the initial glitches. I love your channel. Wow, sorry you guys had to endure this. Been hearing a lot of negatives about the MSC Seashore before your ordeal. Reluctant to ever book with them anyway. Yes, please keep us informed if any future improvements. We can’t & won’t spend money to be tossed around when we’re suppose to be enjoying ourselves. We're on an 8 day cruise with Carnival right now. We were in Cozumel yesterday. I recommend going to Mr Sancho's. We always book our excursions through Carnival because no matter what, you will never be left behind even if the excursion is running late getting back. I don't know who MSC is; never heard of it. I'm sorry that happened to you. Glad you're family is safe. Go with Carnival next time. Happy and safe travels. ❤️⚓

Yes we actually are even throwing a group cruise on MSC. The problems we had were isolated events that could kinda happen with any cruise line, MSC did a horrible job after the fact but that’s a leadership issue
I have never cruised before however I am going to be cruising this April 2024 8 days on MSC Seashore . My friend had to cancel , but I’m still going , I wish I had seen this before it was too late to get my money back! I've only been on 1 cruise in 2019. My sister-in-laws father passed away at home on out third day. RCL was wonderful. They gave her free internet for texts and free phone calls. They asked several times a day if there was anything that she needed. That was way more than anyone could expect. I know that the customer is not always right but when you don't even listen to them, that makes you wrong.
Most people put their passports and other documents in the room safe on cruises. The sail and sign card becomes your I.D. and credit card while cruising.
I’m so appreciative of this series. Gonna keep following cause I’m definitely undecided on MSC. The ships are beautiful the prices I appreciate. I’ve gotten all the mixed but mostly poor reviews from other channels however you guys are definitely the most transparent.
Yes Carnival and Royal has made it easy for excursions I’ve taken. I still have flashbacks when I think back on not reporting issues with our room cabin when we had saved up for my old college roommate to have her 1st cruise. We arrived, 3 people and one bed, they separated bed, then literally a 3rd bed was a lounge chair spread out 😡🤬😡🤬; #CARNIVAL I was so upset; we had driven to Charleston, SC and my daughter was tired, so she begged me to let it go, but I still get upset thinking about it 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The excursions don’t have a name list, just warm bodies. If you aren’t down there by the time they are supposed to leave, they will leave. Why should everyone wait for you? If you have cruised a lot then you know you need to take identification with you not just your ship card.
Man, I woulda be TRIPPIN! Good on ya'll for staying calm, cool, and collected. Also, passports aren't even a necessity for cruising.....well, at least any cruise I've been on leaving and coming back to same port (even though I KNOW I really need to get one just in case) sounds like miscommunication and ew, hard no from me.. I'd be soo mad if I had to take time out of my day for like 3 or 4 days trying to resolve something that could and very well should have been an easy money back asap ordeal.
Really should have a passport when cruising no matter where. If something happens and you have to emergency port somewhere for any reason, you will appreciate having a passport. Always better to be prepared
As a seasoned traveler, including 30+ cruises, I’d recommend everyone take their passport when in a foreign country. If you get stuck (NCL Escape passengers), you’ll need it to fly home or to the next cruise stop. At the very least carry a copy. But, I’m glad I stumbled upon your post for this matter. I was considering an MSC cruise but I think I’ll stay with Royal. Very good video !
We did have passports so in the event like NCL we would be fine. MSC ships are really beautiful, if you are looking to try something new we would recommend it
Sorry that happened...however, you never know why God allowed this to occur...Maybe something could have happened. Think of it as the Lord protecting you and your family. You got your money back as well...Count your blessings...
Oh my gosh as soon as I saw that they got left the Lord laid that same exact thing on my heart that we don’t understand sometimes but the Lord could’ve prevented something from happening like to one of the girls so don’t always look at missing out on something as something negative so girl you are spot on! I bought a excursion and wasn't feeling well so I returned to the ship..my friends continued and had a blast...I got my $100 back...so don't give up..try another cruise line...Hope your next vacation is better!❤

OMG!! I can't believe the shore excursion just left without you guys. I have heard of the ship leaving port when people don't respect the back on board time, but I have never heard of an excursion leaving passengers at the port. Definitely I can see this being another epic fail on MSC. Two strikes MSC....two strikes. Just unbelievable!! Sorry you guys had to deal with this disorganization.

I totally agree never seen that you need a passport, if so they would make an announcement sorry about that terrible situation. Cruisers don't be terrified this usually doesn't happen on most other cruise lines. They have to work on their customer service. Good customer service usually make the supporters satisfied. MSC you need to make it right to Rich and Jazz along with their family. I want to try MSC I normally cruise with another line. Make Rich and Jazz whole
Wow, I don't think I ever want to cruise MSC! Terrible customer service. I have only cruised Disney so far but I was under the impression that you should always bring your passport with you, in case something happens when you're off the ship , or maybe you miss getting back on or something. I wouldn't want to be in any foreign country without mine, even for a short period of time. I have had to show it to get back on the ship at some ports. Terrible management on MSC's part though. Anyway, love your videos and following your adventures.

Thank you Jazzy for pointing it out that not everyone is able to take multiple vacations a year. Those of us who can are lucky enough to, but I know many friends who can ONLY doe 1 vacation per year. This would have devastated me I spent that one vacation going through all the hassle you all did on this cruise.

I"m a child and personally my parents and granparents say they will NEVER take MSC we take carnival one year and then royal carribean the next and switch in and out!! personally i'd only take carnival and royal carribean because its more family friendly and carnival and royal carribean never dissapoint! Mardi Gras was the last ship i went on this suymmer which was may 21-28 and our next is wonder of the sea!! those two cruise lines are my favorite cruises all the way!!

We are NCL Platinum and Carnival Gold. Their situation was definitely unfortunate and their treatment afterward was abhorrent but it is not the norm.
Yall!! We went on an MSC and it was horrible... in the beginning. Like you said, it was alot of people's first cruise and they said that it was their last!! We tried to assure them that they should not make a determination based on this cruise. I am open to cruising with them again, only because they compensated us for the inconvenience (long story), and because the cruise did get better after the initial glitches. I love your channel. I just found out about you guys as Top Flight Family mentioned you guys. Take care
Yes basically the same for us, after we warmed up it was a great cruise. We actually have a group cruise on Seascape this November lol.

Wow, sorry you guys had to endure this. Been hearing a lot of negatives about the MSC Seashore before your ordeal. Reluctant to ever book with them anyway. Yes, please keep us informed if any future improvements. We can’t & won’t spend money to be tossed around when we’re suppose to be enjoying ourselves. You’re right, none of them are perfect but this was a bit much. Adults can handle the change but the girls, oh no hontee, don’t do that. Thanks for this Vlog.
The girls actually accepted the loss better than the adults lol. Guess they had to worries about getting a refund so that is helpful

We're on an 8 day cruise with Carnival right now. We were in Cozumel yesterday. I recommend going to Mr Sancho's. We always book our excursions through Carnival because no matter what, you will never be left behind even if the excursion is running late getting back. I don't know who MSC is; never heard of it. I'm sorry that happened to you. Glad you're family is safe. Go with Carnival next time. Happy and safe travels. ❤️⚓

I know this is an old video... We are Loyal to Royal but will time to time tip toe on Carnival. I have been looking at MSC mainly because of the prices. Would you guys sail on MSC again (if you were a paying guest and not sponsored)?
Yes we actually are even throwing a group cruise on MSC. The problems we had were isolated events that could kinda happen with any cruise line, MSC did a horrible job after the fact but that’s a leadership issue
I have never cruised before however I am going to be cruising this April 2024 8 days on MSC Seashore . My friend had to cancel , but I’m still going , I wish I had seen this before it was too late to get my money back! I’m scared now !!! 😩 now I don’t want to Go If it’s anything like what you guys experienced , but thanks for the video !
Never had to take my passport to get down into Cozumel through Carnival. Your ship card & a picture ID works to enter Cozumel from the port.

I've only been on 1 cruise in 2019. My sister-in-laws father passed away at home on out third day. RCL was wonderful. They gave her free internet for texts and free phone calls. They asked several times a day if there was anything that she needed. That was way more than anyone could expect. I know that the customer is not always right but when you don't even listen to them, that makes you wrong.

Most people put their passports and other documents in the room safe on cruises. The sail and sign card becomes your I.D. and credit card while cruising.

Yes Carnival and Royal has made it easy for excursions I’ve taken. I still have flashbacks when I think back on not reporting issues with our room cabin when we had saved up for my old college roommate to have her 1st cruise. We arrived, 3 people and one bed, they separated bed, then literally a 3rd bed was a lounge chair spread out 😡🤬😡🤬; #CARNIVAL I was so upset; we had driven to Charleston, SC and my daughter was tired, so she begged me to let it go, but I still get upset thinking about it 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Rich and jazzy you aren't the only people who has had issues with MSC. Guga and rob won't cruise with them anymore either! glad you got your money back! Guga and Rob are still out money!

The excursions don’t have a name list, just warm bodies. If you aren’t down there by the time they are supposed to leave, they will leave. Why should everyone wait for you? If you have cruised a lot then you know you need to take identification with you not just your ship card.
Man, I woulda be TRIPPIN! Good on ya'll for staying calm, cool, and collected. Also, passports aren't even a necessity for cruising.....well, at least any cruise I've been on leaving and coming back to same port (even though I KNOW I really need to get one just in case) sounds like miscommunication and ew, hard no from me.. I'd be soo mad if I had to take time out of my day for like 3 or 4 days trying to resolve something that could and very well should have been an easy money back asap ordeal.
Theo policies were really not consistent for the passport
no you don't need a passport, I think the guy was over booked and couldn't fit them in.

Really should have a passport when cruising no matter where. If something happens and you have to emergency port somewhere for any reason, you will appreciate having a passport. Always better to be prepared

As a seasoned traveler, including 30+ cruises, I’d recommend everyone take their passport when in a foreign country. If you get stuck (NCL Escape passengers), you’ll need it to fly home or to the next cruise stop. At the very least carry a copy. But, I’m glad I stumbled upon your post for this matter. I was considering an MSC cruise but I think I’ll stay with Royal. Very good video !
We did have passports so in the event like NCL we would be fine. MSC ships are really beautiful, if you are looking to try something new we would recommend it

Oh my gosh as soon as I saw that they got left the Lord laid that same exact thing on my heart that we don’t understand sometimes but the Lord could’ve prevented something from happening like to one of the girls so don’t always look at missing out on something as something negative so girl you are spot on! So crazy that yall had to go through that!! It also scares me cause I keep hearing bad things about MSC. I am booked for the Seashore in Oct this year. I really hope they get their crap together. Especially if they plan to build a terminal in Florida and house a few ships
MSC Seashore is such a beautiful ship, this is hopefully and isolated event. Their customer service could be better but I would cruise them again

Sorry that happened to you and your family..i sailed with Carnival..well organized excursions.. I bought a excursion and wasn't feeling well so I returned to the ship..my friends continued and had a blast...I got my $100 back...so don't give up..try another cruise line...Hope your next vacation is better!❤

OMG!! I can't believe the shore excursion just left without you guys. I have heard of the ship leaving port when people don't respect the back on board time, but I have never heard of an excursion leaving passengers at the port. Definitely I can see this being another epic fail on MSC. Two strikes MSC....two strikes. Just unbelievable!! Sorry you guys had to deal with this disorganization.

I totally agree never seen that you need a passport, if so they would make an announcement sorry about that terrible situation. Cruisers don't be terrified this usually doesn't happen on most other cruise lines. They have to work on their customer service. Good customer service usually make the supporters satisfied. MSC you need to make it right to Rich and Jazz along with their family. I want to try MSC I normally cruise with another line. Make Rich and Jazz whole

Wow, I don't think I ever want to cruise MSC! Terrible customer service. I have only cruised Disney so far but I was under the impression that you should always bring your passport with you, in case something happens when you're off the ship , or maybe you miss getting back on or something. I wouldn't want to be in any foreign country without mine, even for a short period of time. I have had to show it to get back on the ship at some ports. Terrible management on MSC's part though. Anyway, love your videos and following your adventures.
HELLO FAMILY, I know that was a headache, but I JUST KNEW, my RICH & JAZZY was not going to take ALL of that NONSENSE without a "GOOD FIGHT", I kept saying get them RICH and when JAZZY spoke up, all I could say was, you are going to get it now. Thank you Jazzy for pointing it out that not everyone is able to take multiple vacations a year. Those of us who can are lucky enough to, but I know many friends who can ONLY doe 1 vacation per year. This would have devastated me I spent that one vacation going through all the hassle you all did on this cruise.

I"m a child and personally my parents and granparents say they will NEVER take MSC we take carnival one year and then royal carribean the next and switch in and out!! personally i'd only take carnival and royal carribean because its more family friendly and carnival and royal carribean never dissapoint!
Mardi Gras was the last ship i went on this suymmer which was may 21-28 and our next is wonder of the sea!! those two cruise lines are my favorite cruises all the way!!
