Fallout 4 in 2024! Woop. So glad to the see everyone making a comeback. I haven’t stopped playing since FO4s release. I’ll take breaks and play other games. But fallout always drags me back.
I always intended to come back. It got hammered pretty intensely on the first few years after release though so I'm glad I got to take a break. Now I get to appreciate it all over again.
Wow really nice build man! Honestly something I’ve realised with settlement building is usually the smaller/tighter you make a settlement the more ways you have to creative and you’ve definitely shown this!
With FO4 I've managed to do some pretty fun, detailed, larger builds, but with 76 that's not really an option. In a lot of ways this draws on what I've learned over there. It also has the advantage of taking much less time!
The USO Performance Boost actually has been available on console for a while now. Used it on both ps4 and XBs S.C.A.P is also available on xbox, not sure about ps4 because ive stopped paying attention to mods on there
For the bus you can pillar glitch the bigger invisible rugs from USO to be able to place stuff...place something first on the rug before you place it in the bus so you can tell the height of the rug for proper placement
I was thinking something like that might be a solid option. It didn't seem like the faff would be really worth while but I might give it a go if I need to make space for extra settlers.
Very nice compact settlement, has a purpose for adhesives. Just started a new playthrough myself after the update. I love making each settlement a particular reason like adhesive farm. Jet farm etc, water at Taffington. My main settlement for traders and settlers will be Starlight with majority being buses, container cars, and other vehicles. Small market stalls with each settler having their own little trade, fruit, fish, toys, chems etc. With all provisioners heading into it bringing lore to a central market.
@@DarthXionGames hope so. Trying to imagine as it's so flat that settlers adapted vehicles and found some way to power those (fuel, electric, even cogs and chains or robots towing the car like horse and cart) and headed to Starlight as word got round. I got the idea from watching a Slab City YT video and thought it fits well with the wasteland where residents turn junk into use. Each settler will run their own generator. So of course one resident will be a Mr Handy Fuel trader. It won't be walled to allow pathing and because it has grown there will be security present to keep the peace.
Nice build looks realistic lived in , The USO does have the boost patch and other plugins for on Xbox X At least, it now has a next Gen patch now too tho. Also S.C.A.P is on Xbox I usually use it, but with next Gen, its causing graphical glitches making land mass pop in and out in sanctuary (it’s last in my load order) still glitchy. CVC is pretty good for rustic fallout looking builds
Sounds like there's still a few kinks to be worked out. I'm not surprised most of this crosses over to Xbox fairly well. It's more the Playstation side of things that has issues, courtesy of Sony's oh-so-helpful attitude towards mods.
It's funny how times have changed. Once it was a one-off purchase to get all the DLC for a game now it tends to be a recurring thing for rolling, time limited in-game content, or a premium upgrade to that as in 76. I'm not sure I'd call the change an improvement tbh.
It's basically the same as 76 so that's not been too bad for me. I needed to wire one of the posters directly though so I had to watch my old wire glitch video to remind myself how to do that! 😂
Nice to see you're getting back to Fallout 4. Really like the guard tower and the turret you're having in the backyard with the crops. That Indiana Jones reference was also cool. Oh... and as journalist the idea of finding settlers reading the newspaper on the toilet is kind of funny to me. Only shitty news today if you know what I'm saying, haha! What wuold Piper say?
Great display of creativity, you're good at building. Thx for the inspiration once again How are the mods running after the update? Had any compatibility issues or crashing? I was gonna get back into fo4 shortly once I'm done with baldur's gate, but I'm not sure if I wanna use the downgrade that rolled out recently, or stick with the next gen update and hope certain mods just work. Glad a lot of the essential build stuff seems to be working for you though, can't do without it.
Everything I use has been ok. I've had the odd crash generally, but that's nothing new and I did have a crash when I reactivated one of my mods, the scrapping one I think, but I relaunched and it's been smooth sailing since. I don't use any particularly complex mods so the impact has been minimal.
Have you ever seen stacked bunk beds I'm a row? Lol you stack them head to head and foot to foot. So tthat way stinky feet are not next to others noses.
hey Darth thanks again for an awesome vid and build just a heads up and not sure IF you are aware of these mods that add a TON of building pieces to "flavor" up your builds 1 workshop rearranged, 2 snappy build, 3 kuro and 4 : home maker ALL 4 are simply amazing to work with and does a fantastic job opening up your building options. workshop rearranged, snappy builds and home maker are fairly heavy drains on available mod space for console users but shouldn't be an issue for PC. i personally use kuro non stop and alternate between workshop and snappy. Just a heads up....thanks again for the vids. cheers mate
Lovely build, I believe there's a mod that has auto closing doors, I use it for PS5 so I'd imagine it'll be the same for PC it's really handy, it also has gates as auto close as well.
I used to have that on PS4 back on the day. I've not been able to find the same thing for PC though strangely. I don't think I checked the Nexus though. The mod I have gives you the option to lock the doors anyway. It basically toggles them to "inaccessible" at the push of a button so that works fairly well; when you know what button it is anyway!
Really nicely done, great job. Which platform are you playing on? If on pc why are you using the built in mod thing and not either MO2 or Vortex? If on pc there are mods to increase the build budget. I would love to see a fully finished Sanctuary. Would be epic with your creativity and talent.
I'm on PC, but I'm only using mods that are available to everyone. At least as far as settlement building goes. I actually used Vortex to install the Unofficial Patch. It still shows up in the menu though, presumably because they're all going to the same place.
@@DarthXionGames LOL, PC Master Race, muwhaha. I've probably got at least 500 mods currently running. From fixes to settlements, to guns and quests. Lots and lots of graphic mods too.
Nah. It's not on playstation and I'm only using mods that are available to everyone. I don't really need it either. I can glitch my way around any issues I need to and I'm not interested in things that look impossible either. I prefer to keep things as lore friendly as possible..
I don’t think I really touched sanctuary besides making it a factory cause that’s where I stored all my junk Didn’t really like the perk investment requirement to link settlements
Have a look on bethesda.net everything I've used is on there. You might be able to find it by searching in the mods menu in game too, but that menu isn't the most user friendly.
I too am back in F04 doing much the same! I had forgotten how much fun it is! Shame my mods are FUBAR *sigh*. I love SCAP, until I accidently scrap something vital lol.
@@DarthXionGames Most of mine are too as I just like things to look nice, well, how I like them at any rate, but not even all my creation club mods are working which is REALLY annoying!
A couple mods i can advise are Ohh very cosy and totally different from what i've been doing...though still side tracked by building But i'd definitely advise the Minutemen Morale Pack by Evilviking13 seems so you said that characters going minuteman. It's bother lore friendly, fits the minutemen and has some funnier little bits in
minute man morale pack is an absolutely amazing mod IF you want to go full minutemen. i have followed Evil viking AkA General Dave for over 7 years he is an EPIC immersive builder and inspired me down the road to my own madness and settlement builds ..another nice one from evil is his junk wall kit....gives a very much waling dead vibe
Building guides! They're old, (so old), but still relevant! ua-cam.com/play/PLULPJNm760Dh2g4ni9-f9R0bYaS3-YfIq.html&si=5ZqahA2sx-5AhQ4u

I really like your style, it's realistic, lived in and the stuff you used to decorate is lore friendly!! well done
Thank you! 😊
Love seeing build videos making a comeback…they are always my favorite. Keep em coming!

Happens every time! 😂

Scrap isn't over on PS4, but there's a near identical alternative in Scrap That Settlement.
Helllooooo good sir...glad to see you on this glorious day

Im glad the season pass doesn't have to be bought every so often, once it's bought that's it

Great looking build 👍Im enjoying FO4 again as well. Im just trying to remember how to wire up the Sanctuary houses so can add electric lights lol
