I talked with butch brown at the 2019 long beach convention center when he was giving his seminar at the tank. I got to say he seems to ne to be a good guy took the tine to talk with my son who was 10 years old at the time and didn't just blow us off. In my opinion he is what the sport needs in bass fishing and yes I beleive he is the GOAT 🐐
Good podcast but i would just let Butch talk about whatever he wants. Even hearing about what toilet paper Butch prefers for Big Bass is interesting. The guys a legend
Lol. I guess you haven't listened to many of these podcasts. The host is terrible at cutting people off when it comes to letting them tell their story or just talk.
@@tdawg4496 ive listened to almost all his podcasts and neverminded him cutting people off at all but Butch is a different kind of guest. Some of the most interesting stuff is when Butch goes off the rails off topics
I would love to see someone try and pull off what Butch has done, it is physically not possible. Been fishing all the So Cal lakes for years. They suck unless your name starts with Butch and ends with Brown.
People always think its the spot you fish and not the fisherman. Im a nobody and even i get it. Guys DM me all the time asking for me to tell them my spot. Ive taken guys to the juice and they just watch me catch fish
Butch was right when he said we used to throw big swimbaits to target giant fish and how its changed. Now guys throw just to be throwing them and just to catch fish. The culture is gone. I don't understand throwing big baits just to catch anything, it's not fun throwing a hinkle trout or baitsmith mag all day. It's become the "cool" thing to do. I've been throwing big swimbaits for 24 years and there's so much about the history ,culture and the process of swimbait fishing and targeting giant largemouth that's been lost. Everyone wants to catch a big fish when they go out and using a big swimbait ups the chances but they're also out just to catch fish. There's a difference, a mindset between that and going and specifically targeting giants. I'm looking for 15lbs and up but realistically 10lbs is my starting point. Anything under that and it doesn't matter. An 8lber is the same as a 1lber. That's a real swimbaiters/ trophy anglers mind set. There's a massive learning curve and mindset change that needs to happen to be a trophy chaser. And non stop learning, ive been doing it for two decades and there's days, even weeks where I feel like I don't know shit. I fished roughly 90 days last year and caught one fish all year. One. Thats the grind of it that most anglers can't deal with, they want to be catching. It's more hunting than fishing when it comes to big fish. Anyway, love the podcast, especially when BB is the guest. It's awesome what your doing and doing podcasts with swimbaiters, especially the old school guys like BB and Rago. I know it'd be damn near impossible but if you could get Mickey Ellis on that would be awesome
Butch is probably the best trophy bass fisherman ever. Mike gilbert pretty good too . Josh Jones also doing really well. I don't care about tounaments , I like trophy fish and butch is pretty great.
I tournament bass fish, I fun fish, I snook fish, I grouper fish, we do it all in Florida. I have at least $1000 in swimbaits. I have more respect for this dude than just about anyone who has picked up a rod

Always enjoy hearing Butch talk. He has put in the time and earned his reputation as The Goat. Being Super Humble is the icing on the cake.
I like that butch brown doesn't sugar coat nothing he says great stuff the GOAT

It's getting good at the 2hr mark. I'd like to say to the host with the most, it was cool talking to you at Toxic Days brother.

How do we enter the raffle for Butch's boat? Will it be posted on Swimbait Underground?
Can’t believe I missed this live
