Exclusive: Russia producing three times more artillery shells than US and Europe for Ukraine

- Russia appears on track to produce nearly three times more artillery munitions than the US and Europe, a key advantage ahead of what is expected to be another Russian offensive in Ukraine later this year. CNN's Katie Bo Lillis reports. #CNN #News

2022: Russia is running out of ammo
2023: Russia is on their last stock pile
2024: US/NATO has no ammo left
this is fucking funny😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's the understanding you came up with? lol. Russia has ramped up production to a X3 level for artillery. The US is not at zero for artillery and artillery warfare on this scale and for this long is not a strategy for any single country. This story is about how much ammunition (specifically artillery) one country is producing over another, nothing more.
@@tonyalvarado4810cry
but cnn was saying 6 months ago that russia was running out of ammunition and russian soldiers were fighting with dull shovels lol
yes their artillery stocks indeed went dry. Russia at the beginning of the war was able to fire 40000 shells a day with ukraine only beeing able to fire a few thousand. So CNN wasn't lying there. That is why russia ramped up the production to at least maintain some numerical advantage, even though its not as striking compared to the beginning of the war. They need arillery advantage as this is their key military doctrine.
It's the report only.😀😀
They said Russia ramped up production, people out here think that factories just turn on like a light switch 😑🤦
Yeah, because time is a thing? Russia didn't produce a lot of munitions, as they had a lot of cold War stock. They have the factories but wasn't then able to run them at capacity.
It takes time to restart long stalled production lines... I mean they were being forced to buy North Korean shells.
@@JimIBobIJones No, my friend, but you are very naive, so you believe in the lies and propaganda of the CIA media such as CNN, MSNBC...This is not the time for questions, but false globalist propaganda that you are falling for.
Since CNN and similar media, in the first few months of the conflict, still announced that in 2022, "the Russians have no more ammunition, missiles... They cannot produce tanks, because they are stupid and backward, but they take chips out of washing machines, so again, after a few months, Russia has no more ammunition, they only have shovels"?!
So it is obvious that CNN "did not know" that Russia has stocks from the Soviet period, but you see, you are better informed than CNN?! And now here you justify the lies and propaganda of CNN?!
No, Russia does not have to buy ammunition from North Korea, because it only produces over 4 million 152mm artillery shells per year. And if he wants, he can also import from China, Iran, North Korea. The US and the entire NATO plus Japan and South Korea together can produce about a million 155mm artillery shells per year?!
However, in the normal free media, this video title stood more than a year ago. People and experts knew this information and published it more than a year ago... But they were declared "Russian propagandists" by CNN?!
It seems that those with CNN were "busy" with the lies and propaganda that they have been spreading for more than 2 years, so they finally admitted that they are mercenaries and liars of a gigantic scale. So now they started publishing what they previously called "Putin and Russian propaganda" "?! Something seems to me that everything, and everyone whom CNN, MSNBC... Proclaims "Russian propagandist and Russian propaganda"... In the end, it turns out, not only this, but 90% of what the Russians said is true! Which in the end they admit and publish, on CNN, but with a delay, a year or two late?!
Finally they figure out the math after more than 2 years.

Now imagine how much China could produce if they went to war.
What people don't understand about GDP comparisons is that price deformations matter. For example the London Tube and the Moscow Metro are comparable in size and the number of stations. A day pass for the Moscow metro costs $3.50 is like $20 USD for London Zones 1-6. Transportation sector is part of the GDP composition, if we used this sector alone, it would seem that London has a GDP five times bigger than Moscow, but this has little to do with reality on the ground. Now if this was the Dubai Metro, the price in USD of the ticket would matter, because everything from the rolling stock to the rails and drilling services would have to be imported and paid for in foreign currency, but Russia produces all of this domestically so the what matters is how much a subway car costs in roubles and not in dollars. Therefore please stop using false narratives like Russian GDP is the size of Texas or Spain, etc, because they do nothing but distort. Russian economy is comparable to Germany as per the IMF and the World Bank (when price levels are adjusted).
GDP numbers don't matter, you are right, mainly because russia is not connected very much into the world economy. They can produce their own food, fuel and mostly the weapons BUT (and this is a big BUT, also was the fate of the USSR) they lack behind very much in advanced technology, imported all those things from the West like civilian airplanes, oil and gas pumps to make the pipelines function etc., and these are not easy to replace. They can rebuild this part of the economy with the help of china which is an ongoing thing, if you look at the car or mobile phone market of russia, but this is not a pleasant thing, vassalage to china... not very good. They will learn the hard way, a revolution in russia can be very close, we cannot really see the forces moving under the surface in the big cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In time of war only manufacturer related GDP number matters. Financial, entertainment and law sector GDP do not help with war at all. Guess who has the highest manufacture based GDP in the world?
@@gaborszabo3110 Russians do not lack behind in technology and this is absolutely absurd to believe, because their military has advanced technologies that we aren't even close to developing ourselves (hypersonic missiles are the best example of this), furthermore Russia annually graduates about as many STEM students per year as the USA, but they have less than half the population, to give another example, so Russia is actually very well versed in the field of technology, and is on par with the US and China, furthermore the USSR wasn't even close to being anywhere near behind the U.S. in technology, I mean seriously the USSR created multistage rockets, mobile phones, Salyut 1, and Sputnik, amongst MANY other first time inventions coming out of the USSR (composite armor for tanks, and the autoloading 125mm when introduced was by far the most dangerous tank weapon in service, ect.), I mean seriously look this list of groundbreaking Russian/USSR inventions, and you will see that throughout most of the 20th century the USA actually obtained technologies from the USSR, and not the opposite. www.rbth.com/science-and-tech/335104-50-russian-inventions

Because they are still using more than they are making. Is logic hard for you to understand?
Because it is indeed 100% BS what CNN claims here. Anyways:
'Fun' fact: The Jan. 6 congressional committee falsely claimed it did not have evidence that showed former President Trump’s administration requested National Guard assistance, according to a report detailing a "hidden transcript" that was recently released.
"The former J6 Select Committee apparently withheld Mr. Ornato’s critical witness testimony from the American people because it contradicted their pre-determined narrative. Mr. Ornato’s testimony proves what Mr. Meadows has said all along: President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down," Georgia Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk said in a statement on Friday.
Loudermilk released a transcript of former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s interview with the congressional committee investigating Jan. 6 on Friday, following The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway, also a Fox News contributor, reporting, "Former Rep. Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee suppressed evidence" that the Trump administration pushed for 10,000 National Guard members to be on the streets.

Agreed. The League Of Nations failed us then, and now NATO appears to be holding that title.
*Vote blue, fund Ukraine now!
Don't forget that the only adult in the room once said ...We are prepared and We have not started anything yet!!!😂😂😂
This is what Russia makes them powerful. Their resources and technology!
This comes as no surprise!
Does that include shovels too
How anyone ever thought Ukraine could win I will never understand
Absolutely. I thought Russia would win from day one.
But are their shovel productions up or down? Also do they have updated software for the washing machine chips?
Well, it seem that steel production, chemical industry, engeneering industry are still somehow relevant.
I don't thinkn Google, Apple or Facebook can help us to produce some more ammo.
CNN earlier said they runnig out of ammo.

I swear education is illegal in the US, otherwise they would have a subject called "History" not US history, actual history, in that single subject they would learn a lot about what Russia can do.
When it comes to geopolitics education threshold is stuck at kindergarten level, treating citizens like they are 5 years old (sit down and we will endoctrinate you about what you should believe)
Mocking North Korea yet they are even worse.
LOL Russia is producing 250,000 shells a month Europe is producing 3,000 a month! let that sink in!
NATO always faced this problem. Their counter was ISR, air power and precision. An artillery shell is just one part of a kill chain. It needs to get to the battery intact, it needs a good crew, it needs a good artillery piece, and it needs some time before it gets hit itself. Ukraine's problem is it just doesn't have the air power to offset Russian artillery. It has HIMARS, for now, and its own artillery, but that is just slowing the Russian advance. Ukraine will have some air power later this year, but we are likely to see that it is not enough air power to do much other than halt the Russian advance. Ukraine needs hundreds of aircraft and associated munitions to turn this around.
They won't turn it around though no matter what they get 😂 russia have many many weapons they've not used yet.
@@jamesgreen1116thank you for the Russian troll response 😂
I wouldn't fret too much about how much old school dumb fired artillery Russians can produce and fire, While artillery shell production is lacking Ukraine is focusing on FPV drones and other drones, the forecast for 2024 went from Ukraine producing 1Mil drones to 2 Mil drones and as we all have seen drones are far more accurate then dumb fired artillery
If the west could produce AI for the FPV drones and just allow Ukraine to have autonomous drone swarm Russia would pretty much lose, there currently a coalition within Europe lead the by the UK to develop AI FPV drone swarms for Ukraine.

Except they are. Their military is struggling against an army equipped with our handmedowns
Compared to the rest of the world? You realize that the US could take a country like Ukraine in a month or less. Russia is still trying after 2 years lol.
Why all of a sudden they produce so much more than us?!! I thought they didn't have enough a year ago?!! Wow!
You were, are and will be lied 24/7/365.
Imagine that.
Its not only artillery, they produce more tanks more bullets more missiles and so on 😂
But they say Russia use shovels?
Yeah, Krasnopol 152mm Shovel.
True. Russian trolls keep saying that Russian forces fight with shovels.
They've said that countless thousands of times.
But then again Russian trolls say lots of stupid, ludicrous things many times online.
They just have to keep the flow of nonsense going to make their rubles.
But you say that Moscow is peaceful?
High precision shovels with washing machine chips for enormous accuracy
why those shovels in the comments???
Mmm I thought you said they were running out.
Would you look at that.
What happened to "Russia is running out of ammunition" CLOWN MEDIA MUCH!
I thought Russia ran out 2 years ago CNN?😂😂
All lies
And when Ukraine runs out if troops who is going to fire those 2000 shells per day?
When Ukraine runs out of troops it will be a big story on CNN. Most observers know this has already happened.
Muricans… since they started this all
the snowflake non binaries outta their basements will be in the front lines then

According to Forbes and the UK Defence Journal it’s more like 8x and it also costs Russia much less money to produce.
Awww but Russia has only tin cans and shovels
So, for 2years you were telling us Russia is out of Weapons and Ammo and now you tell us it’s not Russia but America and NATO that are out of Weapons and Ammo! Game Over !
A Russian MIG 35 cost 30-40 million. A LM Joint strike F-35 cost 80-120 million. The extra cost are because Lockheed Martin's C-suits get their millions a year, give a huge cut to shareholders, BAE and othe subcontractors get their cut. This is the same with the military ordinance and other "Military Industrial Complex" for profit companies.
do you really comparing mig 35 to f35?

@@hernanreipp3321 Newspeak at its finest, mate.
I remember last year, I was reading from a Ukrainian source that one of Russia's artillery shell production plant named V.V. Bakhirev State Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region) is producing 1,250,000 artillery shells per year.
That is close to the real number of produced shells, the Russians also have old shells in the deposits which they are servicing, but those aren`t NEW shells, not should they be counted as production because that is akin to data manipulation.
I wonder when it will be visited by a drone swarm.
@@jesan733 If Ukraine could drone strike those factories, they would. I don't think you realize how much you're insulting Ukraine, not Russia, by implying that they wouldn't do such an obvious move if they were capable of it. Obviously, most of Russia's air defenses are around factories like this, not random buildings in Moscow which is why that's what Ukraine has been targeting.
@@jesan733They are but Russian air defences and EW units are extremely comprehensive around these sites.
@@giantWario Ukraine isn't ready to take on that particular target yet, but I'm sure it's building up for it. Also, it has long-range droned many, many militarily and economically relevant targets so far. The latest was an A-50 workshop in Taganrog that it sent drone swarms to.
Those Russian embargos are really doing wonders!

Lol 32 NATO Countries combined can not give Ukraine more than one Russia with budget of Portugaly.
We knew this at the start of fighting. Someone didn’t do their job. Coincidence with Nuland resigning?

I Think the problem is that the powers that be, consider Heavy Industry to be 'so yesterday' ... filthy & primitive.
Problem Now is that, after so many lost infantrymen, conscripts in Ukraine are hard to come by.
Nuland should be put on trial
"The Shovels and Washing Machine Theory" was written by Nuland 😁
War creates jobs. An American official said this referring to the arms the US was sending to Ukraine. He said the money remains in the us creating jobs in the arms companies. And that is why the Russian economy is growing rather than falling. The US has used the war economy strategy for years. Almost all the wars created and sustained by the us in the last 20 years, were for the US economy and the US dollar.
This is why media should be kept outside of wars.
I thought Russia was fighting with shovels. Whatever happened there 😂😂😂
