Thank you for taking us along Renee. That was a fun estate sale filled with all kinds of cool stuff. The labels from the fruits and vegetables were reproductions usually used for scrapbooking or decoupaging. You stuck to buying what you love to collect and sell. Awesome to watch this on a rainy day in Philadelphia suburbs ☘️☔️
@@paulinedawson5890I am sure you are right and yard sales are the same as our garage sales but I’ve never seen a sale where you go into someone’s house and go through everything. Maybe they exist. I did find 5 Smurfs yesterday at the Riccarton Market in Christchurch. Yay.
Fantastic weather over there in the NJ/ PA area, and also great to meet the heated vest again. 😉 Your parking habits are similar to mine, always being prepared for a tactical quick retreat. Or like you said it better: park responsibly ! 👍Nice assortment of items, a little bit of everything. I like especially the vintage labels in excellent condition. Rainy day here but better weather is on the way! Good thing I remembered to turn that heated vest off when I was inside! The vintage labels were one of my favorite finds and I was glad that they had been overlooked by other shoppers. That's how it is though - one person's interests allows for others to find what they are looking for! My grandfather's cabinet is my favorite piece of "furniture" that I own. Functional now as a regular cabinet for me, storing some odd items, and of course being able to decorate the top of it too :0) Rainy & cold here as well, but better weather is on the way for us!
Wow!! Lots of stuff for junk Journaling!!! So much money involved in paper crafting !!!Thanks for taking us along and enduring the heated house and crowd!🥰🥰🥰
You don't know how many times I had to stop the video and go back and stop again and I'm gonna rewatch at least one more time. Not easy to see everything and there was so much to admire at. I'd be happy just to be there and look around. I'd definetly have looked closer those compact cases that were on the set of drawers you tried to open and couldn't.
Looked like a really great sale - maybe the best part is that it really seemed to make your day! The number of people and difficulty of getting into some of those boxes would have made me anxious. Lots of new possibilities for your junk journal(s). Aside from dolls, looked like the woman liked brass & iron beds. Saw big ones and doll-sized. Hard to believe someone would block a driveway at all - let alone refuse to move when asked. Must be a lot of pent-up, estate sale energy from the winter :). Glad you found good stuff - cheap - and had a great time. Have a wonderful Saturday afternoon & weekend!
I can't imagine parking in front of someone's driving and then refusing to move when the homeowner asks so that they can leave their driveway & get to work! My anxiety wasn't too bad at this sale as I knew what to expect from the pictures & I wasn't worried about missing out on anything. I didn't focus on the upstairs too much knowing that was priced more for the collectors and high-end antique dealers, but that seems to have made some viewers question my passing by all the glassware & antiques to shuffle through boxes in the basement. I know I can't resell a vintage metal doll highchair for more than the sale's asking price of $35, so that's why I made the point about the sale having prices perfect for collectors who prefer to buy in-person. (Meanwhile, if I would have bought the highchair & said I'm going to sell it for $50, that would have heads turning!) Sorry, rant over 😄 It was a good sale, lots of fun digging in the basement, and ran into many other people that I see at rummage sales and the flea market, so nice to see them too after this winter. Rainy day here, so I'm just catching up on some other work. Hope you have a nice weekend as well!

It appeared that you avoided the Christmas room in the basement, but I know you better than that so I assume that there were no cool vintage Christmas items available. Hi Renee’ how did I miss you at this unbelievable estate sale! I picked up 2 beautiful Hummels, a little collectibles cabinet, an antique cheese box and some thank you cards and wrapping paper from the craft room!! The basement was crazy busy but I managed to get a few things too. I was there for 3 hours! Thanks for the great video!!
I think that we all were busy having our faces looking down in boxes! What a sale! I'm sure the little cabinet you picked up was a nice one, some really great pieces of furniture there. I wish I would have spent more time in the craft room - all of those cubbies with things in them!
I love the hallmark snowman napkins. Any merchandise that has that picture always comes home with me. I even hallmark pins of those snowman. You got a great hall.
I remember around early to mid eighties as a young teenager going to a local Mall and being a fat kid I was drawn to the smell of Carmel corn and other tasty treats coming from the candy store where they also had a display case with all the little Smurf figurines in it which every since then comes to mind every time I smell a candy store. Thanks for the good memory.
That is a good memory! When you said caramel corn, it made me think of the colored popcorn/caramel corn that I used to get as a child when going to the fair. Reds, blues, bright yellows... all sugar & tasted great!
Yes I am interested in every little craft item you got I have a dedicated room for crafts , especially scrapbooking and jewellery making I love love beads I can't have enough beads💖 When you opened the white drawers in the craft room I perked right up That's my kind of sale 😊So many good finds 🇨🇦🦩
What a fun sale. I wish there was more filming inside the house. When women lose their spouse of years and years, I often see the kind of turn to buying as a way to deal with grief. I feel so bad for her, she must have missed him so much. Poor little lady. I probably would have bought a bit more, there are so many crafters who buy crafter items. Thank you so much Renee you are such a sweet gal I just adore you.🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
Oh how fun! I would have been in 7th heaven in the craft room. Estate sale season starting here too and I've gone to two sales in the last month. So many treasures to find!
“NO”…..to a reasonable request to move your car…..police called….. to it sounds like a Dear Woman who with the loss of a spouse filled up her grief with “things”….Bless her heart…..we are “fragile people”…..Blessings on this upcoming Holy Week…..and what a lalapalooza of an Opening Day of Estate Sales….
What a treasure trove of crafting supplies! I would have loved to get to all that stuff. I just finished my winter junk journal and am starting my spring one. What a fun day for you! My friend and I are going to estate sales this week.
This was a fun one!! Love seeing what you find. If I had been there I probably would have spent my whole budget for craft supplies lol. I do a lot of papercrafts. Just bought half a trunk full of books at the thrift store today. Only spent $20. Hope you have a great week. Will look forward to your next viceo!
Hi, Renee. I went to a moving sale last week. The basement was full of Valentines, Christmas, Easter, etc. crafts. Love watching your adventures. Tina, Al's wife
I went to UA-cam and looked up the Snorks theme song because I forget was it was. Then I went to eBay to see what people have listed for Snorks and there is a radio! The handle to carry it is the "snorkel" on the Snorks' head!
@@PaperandMoose Wow..I looked up the radio..very 80's!..the Snorks bring me back to the 80's and watching the show with my son. ♥♥...what ever happened to saturday morning cartoons?
@@Buzz1151 The thrill of having your favorite line-up of cartoons, hanging out in your pajamas, & having a big bowl of Cap'n Crunch or Cinnamon French Toast on a little TV tray. Perfection!
Renee!! Haven’t visited with you in several months! Last time I visited your hair was short and you’d recently stepped out on your own, ie quit your “day job!” Surely enjoyed seeing you again. Looking forward to seeing you with your hair down, too! Have you moved? Like I said, it’s been a while!! So glad to be back and get reacquainted!! 👏☺️
Yikes! The sheer AMOUNT of stuff was unreal and pretty frightening! Imagine having that much stuff in your home each and every day … storing it, cleaning it/around it, move things, etc etc etc. It makes sense what you said about losing her husband and then buying … that’s unfortunately a common and sad way to cope/not cope with one’s feelings. It’s a kind of hoarding. That said, there were many lovely vintage things there. Glad you were able to get some things. But, wow - the AMOUNT of stuff in that house was more than any person could ever use in 5 lifetimes!
Thank goodness there was the large basement because there wasn't a full attic! I couldn't believe when I walked out into the garage and saw all the other boxes lined up there too! At least her past purchases will be able to be enjoyed by others now, versus just sitting in a box in the basement :0)
The Snorks and Smurfs were my absolute favorite as a child. Whenever I’m out Thrifting or antiquing I’m always looking for Smurfs or snarks, and I can never find any 😞
❤ Renee. Great choices that you purchased at the estate sale.Always so enjoyable to see you.I haven't been on in hawai because i've had some medical issues with finally home and feeling better stay warm spring is coming ❤
When seen you heading into a newer subdivision, wasn't sure, but the video showed didn't matter, depends on the people who lived there. Great sale, nice finds 👍👍
All of the boxes in the sale photos looked promising, so I figured might as well give it a shot! Plus the lack of estate sales in the area made it an easy choice to go to 🙂
Honestly I don't see how people can just go through someone"s stuff in such a manner I mean some of those people seemed so rude. Your braver than I would be.
Dolls were priced moreso for the collector. While lovely, I'll see if I can save any similar ones from the bottom of the totes at the Tote Man's stand when the flea market opens :0)
Hi . I really like the way you approach your work/play , you always appear to me as really knowledgeable in what your doing & keeping it as lighthearted as possible. That story about the Civil War diary touched me , ive always been very aware of that history. Take care . Alan
Thank you for the kind comment! I try to keep my content as authentic as I can, which is easy since I'm just my usual self even when filming. I get excited over things that I enjoy, will not pretend to know things that I don't, and will show the good & bad of this "reselling" aspect of my content. Hope you continue to enjoy my videos!
Hi . I used to go out and pick with a friend several years ago , we did some advertising for old organs , the analog ones with vacuum tubes , we would do testing on them and resale on ebay . It was so fun finding these along with other items on the way . Happy hunting , Alan ✌️
Many times I am... I knew for this sale that I could not allow myself to come out with bags & bags of crafting things that I may not use, so told myself to be a little frugal. Now if all of that holiday or crafting would have been vintage, then let the impulse buying commence!
DIGGER SALE! I'm envious! I went to one last weekend that was a "Why did they bother" sale. Couldn't even spend $10. Today was a charity fundraiser tag/vendor sale indoors - spent $30 including cookies. (for this I got up at 5:30AM?) Oh for a good house to rummage in. 03:32 Rene didn't open the Halloween/Fall box??? It looked new, but???
I might not have showed the Halloween/Fall, or may have cut that part out. Most of the decorations were newer-ish. I would have needed a wagon to help move my purchases if all the decorations would have been 1960s and prior!
Crafters are (in addition to being very good vans from Volkswagen) essentially hoarders. It is my experience that even before they craft anything, a crafter has purchased more material than they will ever use, and the purchases escalate from there.
Wow, exciting stuff right at the bottom of those stairs. Totes full of ‘hearty’ items and cute cards. Was this in Fairview Alaska? No. Delayering required. Suitably cooled, a puzzle of drawers pushed and pulled but nothing in the end. Nick knacks galore. Vintagey stuff all over the place- filled, filled, filled…..a Pickers and Crafters Utopia! Kept your head. Kept your eye in the eye of the storm. Vintage labels, lovely Disney, cute Snorks! Nice Renee, very nice….😊
Looked like my card crafting area...love the stamp and die sets because I have a machie that cuts the card stock from the dies...sure enjoyed tagging along...I'd probably still been stuffing in the bags. 😂😂 🥰🥰
It was hard to not buy more of the crafting items, but I just kept thinking to myself "Well, which color ribbon do you buy? And what stickers would you use later? And what tags would go with projects?" I didn't want to over buy just because and so tried to limit myself on items that I could see myself actually using within the next few months.
@PaperandMoose I understand complety...but it is very tempting...I've just got rid of a lot...found a family with little girls, that I felt like would be good for them,as they have just lost a dog...bad situation...the kids loved them and mom said it had helped...🥰🥰
Especially for areas like the basement & the garage, that's just "stuff". All of the higher-end, desired collectables & antiques were on the first floor and rightly so. Being able to sell the better items for a higher price evened out selling all the other things at a lower price.
Hey, that's what I do every day...go through a HOME, upstairs, and especially the basement...never know what I will find...MINE!!! Pardon my age...what are "Snorks"??? That room with the three mini hi chairs, looked like it was filled with "fr-g furniture"...which I use in my fr-g scenarios! Yep...the hoarding syndrome! I knew a lady who bought and bought...especially clothes/shoes...most still in their boxes. That's quite a hairpin!!
The Snorks was a cartoon in the 1980s about little sea creatures that have a snorkel on their head. One of the many cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera! Again we have another collection... but no frogs! One day it will happen! Hope that you had a nice weekend!
Hanna-Barbera...does bring back memories of one of my favorites: The Flintstones! They also produced The Jetsons. The Flintstones were based on another one of my favorite sitcoms: The Honeymooners: Featuring Jackie Gleason and Art Carney. Thank you, same to you...that sale adds the spice to yours! I have seen a few to those Snorts figurines in the past, during my thrift adventures.@@PaperandMoose

The widow bought so much to fill the void from the loss of her husband IMO. I hope that everything finds a new home.
That was huge..alot of Stuff..Thanks Renee for taking us along.😊
What a fun sale. I wish there was more filming inside the house. When women lose their spouse of years and years, I often see the kind of turn to buying as a way to deal with grief. I feel so bad for her, she must have missed him so much. Poor little lady. I probably would have bought a bit more, there are so many crafters who buy crafter items. Thank you so much Renee you are such a sweet gal I just adore you.🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
Wow so much to dig through. Looks like you had a great day.
That was fun - wow 😊
Oh how fun! I would have been in 7th heaven in the craft room. Estate sale season starting here too and I've gone to two sales in the last month. So many treasures to find!
it is like the tote man x1000
“NO”…..to a reasonable request to move your car…..police called….. to it sounds like a Dear Woman who with the loss of a spouse filled up her grief with “things”….Bless her heart…..we are “fragile people”…..Blessings on this upcoming Holy Week…..and what a lalapalooza of an Opening Day of Estate Sales….
Lalapalooza! Ready for the 2nd act to come out on stage, which estate sale will be next??
@PaperandMoose how do you know if the cards are old?
What a treasure trove of crafting supplies! I would have loved to get to all that stuff. I just finished my winter junk journal and am starting my spring one. What a fun day for you! My friend and I are going to estate sales this week.
Oh wow Renee, what a sale! All the craft supplies, and omg the dolls and doll stuff....the vintage kitchen things......sheer heaven!
Great finds
Great sale,👏👏👏👏👏👍🏻🤠🇬🇧
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!
That would have been a great sale for your 80s party prep.
Thank you Renee , for taking us along . So much fun 😊
That sounds like it was a good sale!
"Swim along with the Storks" 💜
Great decor! Thanks for sharing scripture!
An excellent sale.❤🐨
What fun Renee - enjoy day two!!!
Wow! We never have cool estate sales where I live. What a great sale!
So fun! ☺️❤️🥰
Snorks!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Perfection!
What fun! Thanks.
Fantastic x
Whenever I’m out Thrifting or antiquing I’m always looking for Smurfs or snarks, and I can never find any 😞
❤❤ good luck, lots of stuff. ❤❤
How could someone live in a home with all of that stuff? I’ve been doing Death Cleaning. I’m not putting my kids through this.
❤ Renee.
Great choices that you purchased at the estate sale.Always so enjoyable to see you.I haven't been on in hawai because i've had some medical issues with finally home and feeling better stay warm spring is coming ❤
Looks like fun. I wish I was there with you.
Great fun 😊
Fun sale
Renee looking gorgeous as allways❤
When seen you heading into a newer subdivision, wasn't sure, but the video showed didn't matter, depends on the people who lived there. Great sale, nice finds 👍👍
All of the boxes in the sale photos looked promising, so I figured might as well give it a shot! Plus the lack of estate sales in the area made it an easy choice to go to 🙂
Honestly I don't see how people can just go through someone"s stuff in such a manner I mean some of those people seemed so rude. Your braver than I would be.
Tony should bid on a clean out!!!
If the price is right…keep buying!🌼
Hi glad u found some good things keep on looking ok love Patricia curry Danville VA ❤
Love your glasses
It would have been hard for me to walk away from this estate sale because I would have been digging for hours
Rene, I thought you would rescue one of the old dolls!
Not much ephemera there?
It looked like a fun sale where I'd get myself in trouble!
I saw so much stuff that I would like! I had those labels. I bought them, from a wholesaler
It's a good thing you are not an impulse buyer!!!😂
Many times I am... I knew for this sale that I could not allow myself to come out with bags & bags of crafting things that I may not use, so told myself to be a little frugal. Now if all of that holiday or crafting would have been vintage, then let the impulse buying commence!
I would love to buy the two Mickey puzzles.
And that is why I did not let myself just buy any & all of the crafting items 🙂
Renee where have you been??? Missed you. Apollo glad to see you back.
I love your videos, I'm hooked on your channel. You do great work editing and putting it all together.
That was a lot of stuff in that house, you could have spent the whole week there!
💜
Surprised you didn't comment on the little child's green Windsor chair!
I would love to travel to Alaska! Wonder what their estate sales are like up there...
@@PaperandMoose snowed under…..
We had about 7 inches of snow yesterday. Spring is not here in Milwaukee Wisconsin 😢❤❤❤❤
Oh wow! No spring for you either 😆
@@PaperandMoose I see you got a lot of stuff for your junk journal. How's it going???
It's hard to decide what to get when they have that much
This is one estate sale where they have to charge low prices, unless they want to have tons of items left over.
Especially for areas like the basement & the garage, that's just "stuff". All of the higher-end, desired collectables & antiques were on the first floor and rightly so. Being able to sell the better items for a higher price evened out selling all the other things at a lower price.
I can’t even imagine how big this house must be to hold all this stuff.
No attic either! Thank goodness they had a large size basement!
👩🔧😉👏👏👏
@@larryboysen5911 Loved The Jetsons! I watched The Flintstones as well, but preferred the flying cars of George & Jane 🙂
I loved the both...past/future! @@PaperandMoose
