It's kind of telling that Metroid's "relaxing" music is what other mainstream Nintendo series would have be their "spooky level" ambient themes. Love the atmosphere so much
The moment I heard Phendrana drifts during my first playthrough of Prime, that was the moment I became a Metroid fan. I need to go back and beat it. I need to do what my 13 year old self could not do
what? I was thirteen when I beat the game and I only died 3 times, in the first half of the game. Goes without saying that I played the new play control! version which in my oppinion is much easier to controll.
@@just-mees it took me about 30+ tries at flaahgra when i was 9. Came back 10 years later beat every boss first try on hardest difficulty. Its amazing to see how far ive come

Although the Navigation Room theme is nice, I think Underwater Depths would've been a much better pick from Fusion; it's really the only truly relaxing song from such a tense game and OST.
You're completely right, it's the best song from that game hands down honestly. Also, the Navigation Room theme isn't something I'd found relaxing honestly. Maybe it's because I played the game and I got immersed a lot on the situation, but it also makes me think that I'm in a computer room with a lot of buttons and screens, it doesn't seem relaxing
Very nice soothing music. Thanks for the great job.😍👍 Whenever I hear this beautiful music, I get into a better mode and my soul is so happy. best regards calming sounds😇🙏💖
Hey! This is a nice list, but I have one fairly large complaint. While it's awesome that you listed which games the songs came from, you REALLY need to include an art link, too! While it's definitely the right thing to do for the artist, it also allows someone to see the picture and save it as a desktop pic! Please? This is an awesome pic.
I love how Metroid is way different than the other Nintendo's games. I mean, you could believe it was made by the producer of Halo or Doom, not the same people that made Super Mario and Donkey Kong
Very true, I think the game leaped to great heights at Game Cube. The best Metroid game ever. It stunned many and pushed Game Cube graphics to the limits. Other games looked unfinished afterwards.
Hearing these songs really makes me wish I kept my Game Cube and at least finished Metroid Prime. I've missed out on so much of the Metroid story line. Brinstar Depths....oh the memories of playing the NES, SNES, and Gameboy Metroid games. Good stuff my friend! Maridia (parts of) in Super Metroid had some music I thought was relaxing
i still got a gamecube with prime, but that game got me to a point where it was over with having fun and walking and searching for hours without a goddamn hint. yeah great game :P the atmostphere was thick tho
Did you ever play the first Metroid game on the NES? No story line in the game. Only way you got any story was if you had the booklet that came with the cartridge new. And I spent many more hours wandering lost in it than any of the others. Although I don't remember much of Prime :(
Metroid Prime was a masterpiece, Metroid Prime Echos was really good as well. Visually, game play, enemies, environment, and lore. I don’t recall seeing anything that looked unfinished.
Its a fantastic game would so recommend it! dont use touch controls i recommend ds system and controls set to a b x y and control pad, or if using emu please use controller as its best to play it comfortably, bosses aint fun as theres only 2 that slightly change every time but the whole concept is good all up
Metroid prime hunters is IMO bad,the problem was: the Story is really poor, basically you only know that you must find the ´´maximum power´´thats all... also theres 2 bosses,in fact theres more, but is the same model and change 10% of their mechanics... theres no power ups only weapons, that makes metroid prime hunter so boring and also very short. Also is extremely easy,in a few hours you can finish it And finally the AI is very VERY stupid, like the bounty hunters they fail like 8/10 of their shots IMO the worst metroid in all aspects, btw i love the trailers and the OST,but the game itself is bad, there´s not even metroids.
I'm kind of sad about the lack of a couple of songs - it would have been nice to see Underwater Depths from Fusion as well as the Torvus Bog Depths theme from Metroid Prime 2. Both are go-to chill songs!
This compilation was probably the hardest one to make. I constantly felt there was a fine line between relaxing and distressing tunes, but still I wanted to try and do it. That being said, the Underwater Depths OST from Fusion has always been unnerving to me, but I can see that it can be considered to be relaxing for a lot of people. I guess it's just a matter of taste :) Thank you for your feedback!
Yeah, absolutely! A lot of the tracks from Fusion had a pretty unsettling undertone and I can kind of see how the Torvus Depths theme has one as well. Music is and always will be subjective. :)
NoRank the Underwater Depths is pretty unnerving to me too, probably just bc of how long I was in that area trying and failing to do the shinespark trick lol

Wow, I thought I was the only one who found most of these relaxing (I find Tallon Overworld and Torvus Bog nice for waking myself up, not the opposite haha), especially Bryyo Ice, it's omg, makes me feel like in a trance.
ok, don't add in music from fusion and zero mission. They sound good in the game, but not in the middle of all this other more ambient music. It would be better if the GBA actually had a sound chip but it doesn't
Now we need spectrobes, the game that's like Pokemon but in space. Still phendrana was a good choice, but METROID isn't all relaxing. As soon as you get a break from killing the game is like "hey Samus got some time? Here, kill this giant bird like thing called ridley that we turned into a robot while falling 5000 feet and if you don't kill him fast enough you'll probably die" still though it's good
Uhh... i dont think metroid primes navigation room is in any way relaxing. always waiting on that moment your halfway past the consol for the power to suddenly go out.

The key to Prime is scanning everything and mastering the map. It helps to have a good spatial memory.
