Hi. Love your videos, VERY clear and easy to understand. I have been upgrading a lot of my varmint rifles in the recent past and didn't give too much thought to the rings, just not buying the el-cheapo ones. That said, all my new 34mm scopes HAD been using Vortex or Arken rings. I 'discovered' these 'honed' rings recently and have a quantity of both the 6061 (for rimfire) and the 7075 rings on hand. They are the ONLY rings I will use going forward. I just purchased two DNT 7-35 scopes as well as an Arken 7-35. I also have four Arken EP5s 5-25 and four Discovery PRS Genlls, which I also REALLY enjoy. These rings are fantastic. I like the 'post' that they use in the 7075 models. These are the only rings I have used that do NOT cause the scope to rotate slightly as the screws are torqued down. I'm kinda fanatical about getting everything level. 2 quick "comments" i see that Arken has introduced some 'Titanium" rings. Be aware, the ONLY Ti is the moveable clamp for the rail. Also. I torque all my precision rings to 18 in/lbs. Just what the mfgs recommend and I really doubt it makes much difference. Keep up your excellent channel!
Offset cantilever mounts are also great for making sure that you mount your optic on only one rail, thus eliminating a variable that could cause you to lose accuracy. On many rifles, you have two separate rails, one on the receiver, and the other on the fore-end or handguard. Mounting a scope between these two could mean sacrificing accuracy, because the two rails may not line up perfectly, or may shift with the use of the rifle A cantilever mount is fantastic because it allows you to shift your optic forward while having the actual mount, as one whole piece, mounted to the receiver rail. A great way to retain excellent accuracy and better eye relief at the same time :)
I liked and subscribed for the simple fact that you pronounced the word height correctly. It drives me absolutely insane when people put the “th” at the end of height. And that word gets used a lot in firearms videos.
Thanks. I looked that up and pre-19th century pronunciation or probably a regional dialect. Benjamin Franklin and George Washington wrote the word as "heighth" sometimes www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/the-height-of-mispronunciation2014or-not
Awesome review, I have one of the 34mm cantilever mounts. It seems as well made and quality as some pricier ones I've used. The one caveat i would add is that I never torque the screws past what the scope manufacturer states. For instance my scope tq values were less than the mounts stated. I think it was max of 18lbs and the mount was 20. I deferred to the mfg's numbers. For the new to scope mounting peeps, don't use loctite! It will cause you to have inaccurate torque values, ie way too much tq . Use vibratite if you want to. I don't use anything and I've never had problems.
Let me know what you think after you get your hands on one. My opinions are based on a sample of 1 (the ones I got) so independent confirmation is a good thing.

I agree, it's nice to see ring manufacturers stepping up their game! Hope you subbed

Excellent points!
Those look like phenomenal mounts and rings especially for the price. The CNC looks pristine perfect and the same Torx bolts are a great addition.
Indeed they are.
For a - relatively - budget brand, that's amazing attention to detail. Loving the index pins!
Totally agree!
great review Moondog...... I do dig those mounts and rings from Discovery...... I love all of the markings they have.... nice touch!
Thanks 👍

Good point. I would use whichever torque number is lower just to be safe.
Waiting to get my 5-30x56 FFP, and 20moa cantilever mount. I’m skeptical for now. I don’t know how they can legit sell so cheap.

My question is this: "Would say the cantilever mount is Duty Rifle Capable for a 5.56" ?
Yes. I'd say this mount is more than capable for a SCAR-H 7.62

Good luck! The drawing will be on my livestream next Wednesday.
1,014 is the difference
Clever. For those that don't get it: 7075-6061 = 1014
