I did that with my mother’s iPad mini when she upgraded to the newest mini (it really is the perfect size). Her mini was Gen-1 Mini…….I sync’d it to the new one, then wiped it, logged into it under my Apple ID and then…got nowhere. It’s simply too old to upgrade to the software needed to handle today’s…anything. Literally. I couldn’t even download solitaire from the ‘store’.

Once I lost an old phone I had and when I found it (like a month later) it was disabled for 25,229,360 minutes. That’s almost 48 years. We did get it fixed tho, didn’t have to wait till I was in my 50’s!

I need to figure out how to do this, once I fix my laptop or get a new one of course, I've been locked out of my old ipod(it was one of the cool ones that looked and worked like a phone) mostly because I took a really good picture right before getting locked out and I wanna get it off that phone and possibly onto my current phone so I can possibly set it as my background, or just have it since my mom looks so pretty in the picture!

just to let you know that if you’re signed in on the same apple ID, having those phones online can make it really easy for people to hack into your account and be able to use any online payments (netflix, disney, ect…) and other things
