Interior Designer here! I love everything you've done! only one thing, when hanging curtains or drapes, you should hang the rod in the middle of the ceiling and the top of the window frame. You should definitely do interior decorating or design on the side!! You remind me of Shae Mcgee!!
are you able to float your couch so it is not against the wall, but rather facing the blank wall and fireplace? I know a floating couch can look weird from the back, but putting a really slim/narrow console table behind it usually does the trick! that way, the tv can be comfortable watching height, and you don't have to put it over the fireplace, which like you said can be a design "faux pas"

Don't know if this would throw off the balance of the entryway, but what if you put some hooks to the right for things you grab often, like Teddy's leash, guest coats, etc?
Kind of unrelated, but I’m newer to UA-cam and I love making content! I’m starting to realize that I’m going to need external storage and I was wondering if you had any advice on what to get that isn’t too pricy. Also I’m not sure if I should get a nice camera yet, because I use my phone now, but I know the quality probably isn’t as good as it could be. So any general new-to-UA-cam advice would be so helpful! I also love your videos! You’re so inspirational and have encouraged me to grow in my faith so much :)
What about the two wooden rings that were joined together in the middle of the fireplace mantel. I liked them, maybe on top of a book or sliding off the book if you know what I mean

Ok, so the one way I can see all your stuff for the entryway working is to center the stand in the middle of the wall, then do a gallery above it comprised of the mirror and the photos in frames. Put the floral photo on the opposite side of the gallery from the vase of florals on the table. This *might* all work. I feel you. The struggle is real. 😄
I think this is my first video of yours, I loved it! I too have wanted the lil plaid shaded lamp and now it’s gone! I hem hawed around too long! Also I’m not a minimalist at all but I think nothing in the middle of the mantle was best unless you can find a shallow Dough bowl maybe with some moss balls or succulents maybe! I may be in the minority but I surprisingly liked the bigger rectangle baskets better I think it’s less cluttered than the 3 round would be.

I love the way you style things but remember less is more. You don't want to overcrowd and over clutter your spaces.

Yes! Or maybe the swirly type taper candles for some texture.
Was it cheaper to remodel the kitchen vs just having them build it the way you like? Seems crazy to build a house and then gut the kitchen

Get rug sticky’s to keep it down! They peel and stick to the floor and the rug but no damage or residue to the floor! They sell them at target!!

I think it wouldn't be as much of a faux pas if the fireplace and TV weren't on an angle... that must be uncomfortable and odd!

You could also stack the books underneath the candlesticks to add some more heaviness on that side!
Maybe the rug needs too be a bit longer, like from the door down the hall a little further.
