Yeah you don't have have them in your bar. And traversal skills don't have to be specialized to be on your bar. The falconer has fire traps that can be enhanced so they only arm when you melee enemies. So you don't need fire trap on your bar, you just have to use a melee skill to trigger the fire trap.
That’s what I do with Smite now that my Hammers have a chance to cast it. I’m only 2 weeks in and already like it more than Diablo 4. This is the D2 successor I’ve always wanted.
An example being the Warlock's Chaos Bolts skill which can trigger Rip Blood, Harvest and Bone Curse all while Cthonic Fissure can trigger Chaos Bolts. Much synergy.
And Blizzard executives were the ultimate killer of their franchises in general, maybe even WoW. I dislike how people point all the blame on Kotick when Blizz execs were often just as abysmal, albeit with a smaller salary.
I had a green set belt drop earlier on my 15 Acolyte. I had a bigger dopamine hit from that than in my entire D4 experience. It's almost what I expected a somewhat successor to D2 to be.
My problem with the d4 loot is that every item is lame. They are like a +1 magic sword in dnd only once you level up once that +1 sword looses it's magic. We're in LE when you get a green it's like a sword in dnd that shoots sword beams, even 10 levels later you are going to use this cool item.
Man cut the cap. I'm level 40 in LE and gotten many uniques and multiple set pieces and nothing is dropping that is good. It's like +1 INT or +15 health. Where are the cool game changing legendaries? Maybe late game but still that makes what u said make no sense lmao
One thing about the loot filter that I absolutely loved is the Level Dependency. Because you might say: "But I want Blue or Yellow items while I'm leveling up... I don't want a high end filter for endgame yet" -> Well, a good filter will have "Show crappy stuff if character level is 0-20", "Show less crappy from 21-50" and so on. Brilliant idea. An endgame filter could have 5 more conditions that also take you through the early game if the creator was thoughtful and included that. If not, it's not hard to modify. Anything added by you at the top takes priority
Poe filters have that, I have a feeling last epoch did good research on what is actually needed. Maybe they came up on this on their own with testers, and if they did thats great. Good QA and testing crew is important, diablo 4 definitely didnt have that.
@@arturvegis2571 I also hate the fallacy of "If we do our jobs right, you won't need a filter" which is inherently wrong if you think about it, because unless you get an AI bot to scan your loot and read your mind you're going to be seeing the same drops that you saw at lvl 20 and you liked, because you were leveling. But at endgame let's say I only need a few item upgrades and obviously higher level/stats than you already have, but You'll still be seeing those items that you saw at level 20. That's why I think that the statement is wrong.
There’s a node in the bottom right of the explosive trap tree that turns your throwable traps into a rain of explosive arrows. It kicks the skill up another level.
The last time I played Last Epoch it still had graphic issues and the animations and the combat felt clunky. The improvement they made with 1.0 is insane. I didn't expect this to look and feel this good.
The graphics quality seems a bit inconsistent, there are some stuff in game with lower texture quality, models and animation. In the aqueduct zone the water falling looks pretty crap. Some of the starter zones I felt like the graphics wasn't quite as good either.
The faction system in this game is like no other. I was looking into it before it released and didn't think it would be a hard choice or offer much in terms of gameplay. But it really does, and by a large margin changes your endgame progression
yes, and they are also planning on adding more factions, with the possibility of having more than 1 at a time, So it's going to be like "choose your endgame" PoE time of situation.
Small correction, while you can only equip 5 skills for combat, you do not only have to enhance them. Primalist for example has skills that can cast effects for other skills same as some of the others. So instead of equiping all 5 skills I'm enhancing I'm equipping 3-4 of the enhanced ones but since 1 skill can cast another I can equip filler skills for my build to fix the weakness. Such as for my primalist build it doesn't have mobility but since I use a skill to cast another I can then take leap for mobility.
All classes do as well. Not trying to correct you, just adding that bit for anyone who didn't know. All classes have skills that have interactions with other skills and it's great
That is not an amazing concept or a feature, it should be standard with any game. The always online stuff is actually completely retarded and unnecessary, don't get the whole thing backwards :)
You also have unlimited stash tabs, bought with ingame gold that you will be swimming in anyway. Crafting with legendary potential items is another BIG one. You essentially upgrade unique items, by adding stats from other items onto it, making it legendary. Can make some really insane items doing this.
@@somerandom7215 The universe is not unlimited too, NOTHING that exist is unlimited. But some things, like the universe, the world of Minecraft, the love for my cat and here the quantity of stash tab are so big, that we called it infinite and unlimited because we don't gonna reach the end of it...
I heard somewhere it's limited to 200 tabs. It'll be hard to get there though, cause each additional one costs more gold than the last. For my first char I made in beta, my next new stash tab costs 340K gold. I probably have around 50 tabs with that character.
This is a really great feature. Artificially limiting back space is a bit nonsensical anyways. Isn't part of the fun of a game about getting loot, having many items saved up to collect sets and other specialized things? With old D2 people circumvented this issue by creating many characters, there is no reason to limit it too much.
@@deceiver444 True but it's completely ruined by being able to fuck up your build easily by not following a guide... Last Epoch's systems are more forgiving which is worth a lot more to me personally
@@CustardCream33 PoE definitely takes a lot of practice and trial/error before you start feeling more at ease building your own characters all by yourself.
Lmaooo, game is trash compared to PoE, has ppl playing in steam charts but nobody is playing really, they are all in queue. Also you are wrong, as path of exile is also in epic games and has his own launcher from main site. First study, then speak, ty.
I play in OCE, the loading screen problem between areas is gone, its 1 to 2 seconds now for me. Love the game (976 hours before 1.0), and EHG. I'll support this game for a long time.
Devs: You can play only online Players: WE DON'T WANT ONLINE PLAY ONLY!!!!!! Devs: Ok here's online, but if not you can play offline Players: WE KNOW WE CAN PLAY OFFLINE BUT WE WANT TO PLAY ONLINE!!!!!!
Trying out a necromancer. And my gosh to me it feels like the best necro minion build of any other game I have played. It feels like in virtually every game with minions or pets there is a fair amount of jank or hiccups using them. LE minions are fantastic. Fluid and tons of variety of how you want to use them. If anyone likes pet builds or undead flavor I give recommendation to definitely try necro mastery in this game.
yeah they know what arpg fans like and a lot of things that just make sense are implemented in the game... you just have to go, "why dont more arpg games do things the same way" over and over again
When you said theres an Offline Mode, im already sold on this game. Gonna buy it right now. Wish more games can do this as I am not relied on the games success to keep my account progress forever.
Yep and it's even better because the offline mode gets all the league content too (if it's not directly tied to multiplayer which it probably never will)
It is indeed a great game and I also love that there's an offline mode, but with that said, BE AWARE, Offline characters can never go to online and vice versa, the stash is separate as well, and although yes, cycle content is also available in offline, the online portions like merchant's guild aren't, obviously because you're offline.
200 hours before official release. Brilliant ARPG. The connecting issues are going away and i can't wait to dive in again. Im playin a glacier wizard! Last Epoch and a few other titles keep my hopes up for the future of the industry
Blizzard management killed D4. Trying to milk that playerbase for every damn penny. After the first DLC most players will have dropped at least 140$ on the game LOL.
I don`t like it. It just feels clunky. Animations are not good, combat is weightless and feels floaty. Skills are boring to use, no wow moment with flashy and cool skills. Just bad IMO.
My rotation is Helldivers 2 and LE and im currently enjoying playing video games again. No lifing both. Fun gameplay with friends on helldivers chilling and late at night LE time
Just from the little I saw about the skills in this game, there is SO much you can do to make your character exactly what you want it to be, it's kinda nuts. And if what I remember is right, you also get to respec for free., so you're free to experiment as much as you like.
Not entirely “free” but all it costs is either a little bit of in game gold to change passives or a little of your time to level up the skill again if you decide to change specialization.
Only thing you can't respec is your class specialization choice. So there's no switching from Druid to Beastmaster, although you can go halfway up the passive trees for the two class specializations you don't select
This game wants to have fun and it does that right! 7/10 This is what I can say after completing the game two times. If you are a Diablo player, Oh boy do I got a game for you. If you are an POE player, you can have some fun, but you won't get your fix. Overall, Last Epoch is a good game. It does its basic game loop (kill-loot-sell/equip/craft) REALLY well. Skills feel good, enemies and bosses are fun. But for me the skill tree and endgame are not really there yet, but leagues ahead of what D3 or D4 ever did. It wants you to have fun and doesn't bog you down with boring mechanics/quests/activities that are only there to keep you in the game. Wonderful to play games like this, you can install and have some good fun!
Watching videos like this I just feel amazed at all the innovation and QoL that D4 lacks. Like... no loot filter? I hate running dungeons because I know I'm going to have to slog through a bunch of garbage in my inventory at the end of 1 or 2. Very excited to give this game a try, I'll buy it just to support something with good consumer practices like an offline mode. Thank you so much for the video!
I finished the whole campaign online on day two, very little issues. I guess some servers were having more issues than others. Plan on putting another 1k hours into it.
I have only played a few days so far, how do you get a map for the area you are in.... whenever I hit the "M" key I just get the entire world map, when I'm in town I want a map of the entire town... or when I'm in the jungle I want a map of the jungle area I'm in, how do I get that?
If you got out ahead of the pack you were fine. The issues are in the server hand off from one to another. So if you got out ahead and were progressing you kept ahead of the overloading of the server transfers. I hit the zerg ball in the first act but got out ahead of it pretty fast and had a great time.
There are game reviews, then there's Force Gaming. Astounding work you've been doing for way more than a decade now. I follow you since pre Diablo III launch and been since. Thank you for the review of Last Epoch!
Its a solid game for sure. My fav is how you can link skills through the skill talents. For example, you can make Shift cast shuriken, which still utilizes teh shuriken talents...even though you dont even need to put it on your bar and just use it passively. Its a fantastic system.
it's better then D4 and it's only $35 fucking dollars and was made by a small team of passionate devs who found the perfect balance between having a complex deep system of crafting and skills and being really easy to understand and easing players into understanding how all the skills synergies with one another and you have have god tier builds built around a few core items that change how your character plays and feels...10/10 been playing non stop since release and im honestly buying a lot of the cosmetics and feeling good about it because I know it directly support this awesome team that totally deserves all this praise and success it's getting right now!!
The fact that you feel the need to compare it with Diablo 4 instantly tells me everything I need to know. You're prolly not even owning the game, lmao, just another shill.
In my opinion, THE VERY BEST ARPG right now, yes even more than PoE. That's because of all its QoL features and its SUPER beginner friendly. You have a built-in loot filter that does wonders, built-in game guide! Built-in trading system through Merchant's Guild. And if you wanna try a new build, just respec ALL you want. And this game has SO MUCH build diversity
I agree the sound and skill visuals are great people keep highlighting how its a small studio and all that when but I'm playing my warlock the animations are excellent and good audio feedback
If they can get the animations and sounds to pack the same punch D4 provides, it'll be perfect. Everything else is way better for sure, but damn. Hopefully with the increased sales they can get these parts more polished.
I’m loving it so far. Been playing offline a ton since it dropped. I haven’t thought about a game so much while not playing it since I first tried FF14. If you are a fan of ARPGs get it, I’d pay twice as much as I did.
Man I am so glad you mentioned the "crunch" of the combat. I had a hard time putting my finger on what the feeling was. It was noticeable enough for me to the point where I decided I couldn't enjoy the game. Absolutely respect what they've built though and I'm happy people love it (those that can play of course)
There's other places to get your gaming news but when I am gonna decide on buying a game or not.....no one does it better than Force. Buying or Not is like the only choice we as gamers really have that matters....stay informed Force doesn't disappoint. Support these gaming teams (Last Epoch is 35$) so we get more games like this stop buying bullshit for 100$
Just hit 55 so I haven’t tried the end game. I play D4 on Xbox so I can chill on the couch. Thought I would try it’s controller support and maybe build a pc for the living room, if I can convince the wife of a PC in the living room. Controller support ain’t there yet. Needs a lot of work. On keyboard/mouse it’s not bad. Pet AI is buggy, but that is true for a lot of games. I’ve definitely had more bugs than with release D4 but if they keep bug fixing it will be fine. Stuff like potions spawning under the floor was very annoying. It was worth $35, but I still think D4 is better today. Your mileage may vary.
This is the first ARPG that’s got me hooked… I’ve tried Grim Dawn, Diablo 3,4 , POE. I’m not sure what it is but it clicks for me. Also out of those listed above Grim Dawn is my favorite.
Can't lie: this week with launch of Last Epoch, Pacific Drive, and Sons of the Forest 1.0, this has been the best gaming week for me in over a decade. Color me spoiled.
Absolutely LOVE the varied biomes! If there's one thing I love RPGs it's having contrasting atmospheres from zone to zone! One of my biggest pain points with D4 is they have tried to go for a "gothic" look, when in reality all they really achieved was a grey, dull and repetitive feel :(
I really respect Last Epoch for what they've gone. From my experience playing so far, it feels as if they've taken a lot of systems from all the genre's bests and somehow figured out how to meld them all together into one game. It feels so awesome. Theorycrafting is FUN and leveling with my own build has been awesome and surprisingly strong. The artstyle is great, reminds me a lot of a mix between PoE and Grim Dawn. The story and writing isn't one the game's strong-suits IMO but it does take you through a lot of different places (and timelines) that really showcase the variety in environments, which makes it feel refreshing and less stale than other games so far. The launch-day issue really aren't even that severe, the offline mode means I can still play painlessly and get familiar with the game. Second playthrough online will be much more streamlined! Great job to the devs! I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH ALREADY.
No WASD, no character customization? I'm kinda disappointed tbh. Bought it in early access before I knew ARPGs had this weird stigma against WASD movement, couldn't play it, but held out hope it would be added. I'll probably just wait for POE2 to see what they bring.
It's just not, especially if you're used to it from other games. First, you can rebind the abilities if you can't reach the numbers carefully, but if you're a gamer I really would recommend an MMO mouse of some kind anyway. A full numpad right available on your mouse is too good to pass up IMO. Plus, and this is important, I'm not asking to replace the control scheme, I'm asking for an option.@@colbyboucher6391
Loving your Videos, Man. I really enjoy your Point of View and it really helps me deciding which Games i want to play, because you give such a great insight of that specific Game. I appreciate your Work. :)
It's only $20 here in SEA. I actually got the game as soon as it hit early access years ago for like $10 because it was on sale. Devs deserve the success they are having.
I still can't understand how PC Gamer gave it a 60. I've played it on and off for years and It's my second Grim Dawn. Your early assessment is exactly how I see the game and I am glad that a highly regarded content creator like you can show the game for what is.
my favorite thing about LP is how abilities synergies with each other and you can make multiple abilities useful as oppse to diablo and even PoE where those tend to just super buff one ability with a ton of supporting abilities.
My friend told me that in Last Epoch there is a teleporting bear called the Jahith Bear, which is a nod to Diablo II's famous runeword Enigma, made with the runes Jah, Ith, and Ber. So even though it's fun to be sour on D4, this team pays homage to the OG sources :}
Last Epoch vet here - that was a well put together first impression video, I think it presents the game fair and gives a good overview of the systems included. Little annotation on the skills (skilltrees) : not only does each skill come with it's own skilltree, but many of the skills do synergize with other skills - be it that you can trigger a skill via using another skill, or (again) change the effects of another skill - the list goes on. Good thing is: You can respecc to your hearts content, so feel free to experiment with all your skills. Word of warning: there is one major decision you can't redo after you made it, that is the specialization of your class (the mastery). So keep that in mind when you reach the point where you have to make that decision.
Offline Mode was a HUGE W for them on this release, been supporting the game since like a few months after its EA release a few years back, and safe to say its payed off :) Happy to see where they take the game forward.
im glad you reference the fact that there is an offline mode which is so important and yet absent in many releases now which shows the weakness when servers are not present. Not being able to access the product you paid for just downright sucks. Offline is the classic old fashion thing to always lean on to at least have fun and not rely on servers being up somewhere or shutting down one day.
I'll take lesser production value over 60 dollar mount armor Any and everyday Last epoch is everything I've ever wanted in an ARPG and also I'm very sure the modding community will come in clutch for this games offline mode 100%
I'm a lifelong Diablo kid (as many of us are in the ARPG world... admit it, we're old heads) But wow... Last Epoch has been a blast for me. So far it feels like a love letter to D2 (not in the 1:1 sense), rather my excitement in playing this new game took me all the way back to when I first launched D2 as my Druid and saw Sanctuary unfold before me as I summoned my companions and cast Tornadoes... I know gaming is never linear (ie: the end user experience) but holy moly... Even with all of it's "LE-61" .... I'm level 36 and turning into the Swamp Thing with thorn totems everywhere.
I have been playing the game since it showed up on steam, about 600 hours , i love the game and i am happy that i got to play it long enough to watch it just get better and better over the years.
Playing a summoner necro build right now and having a ton of fun! For an indie game it looks really good. And offline mode is perfect for us casual, no friend gamer dads.
summoner necro gang, lets go!! I managed to summon 34 minions at a time with a legendary scepter that allowed me to have +10 wraiths and also +1 specter from my boots AND on top of that volatile skeletons.. It's been a blast on an offline mode, such a great game!
The skill system is one of the best, if not THE best skill system I've seen in A-RPG game so far. One major gripe I have with it though is how long it takes to level up those skills if you want to respec them and do some tweaking for your build. I've seen people mentioning that at level 80 the skill leveling gets much, much faster, but to reach that level you'll first have to play for dozens of hours.
They did a great job optimizing the performance of the game. I am able to play the game on Ultra without my PC going crazy in temperature compared to the early access.
I LOVE that game. I've been playing it since early beta and I've loved every minute of it. And the final release is just stunning. Oh, also: playing the wizard masterclass Runemaster is just...insane--because depending on what combinations of elemental runes (fire, ice, electricity) you generate using basic skills, you can cast a _shit tonne_ of other skills. Like, there are SO MANY combinations it's damnear dizzying.
I bought this randomly because I was a little bored with SOD Wow and I had finished BG3 2 times. The graphics didn't look that appealing, however for 35 bucks, I was like wth. I like you, have been blown away. The customization of spells is nuts but not overwhelming. I have been playing it non stop. Just in game play alone this is definitely superior to D4.
Been playing last epoch for 2 years Glad it's finally launched 1.0. But it's bittersweet in a way as online mode has been virtually unavailable. Having offline mode has helped
Last night they resolved a lot of the server issues, but then this morning the peak player count went above 250k which caused more issues. That being said, it looks like the dev team is on it. I've been enjoying this game, I don't know that I would say it's as good as path of exile for example. I get a grim dawn meets path of exile vibe, and it's definitely fun. I've also been playing a falconer, I like that you can take explosive trap and turn it into a bow skill, and the gameplay feels really good. I will be curious to see what the end game builds look like and what itemization looks like at the end game (I'm at chapter 9). I've been able to crush this game with negative resistances, but I think a lot of that comes from my experience playing other ARPGs. Do I see myself coming back to this game and playing it as much as I played POE? Honestly I don't know, it really depends on whether or not they plan to do leagues or seasons and what kind of content they plan to add to their game going forward. For now, I've definitely gotten my money's worth and that's certainly something that should be celebrated. I do think the class system is slightly limiting but then I'm also used to POE where every class has access to every skill and the only differentiation are the ascendances and where you start on the skill tree.
Yeah people really need to find something else to do, or get a job or something. People who sit at the login screen and compulsively trying to log in for hours aren't making the server problems any better
That's not the problem, the reason why it changed is because obviously it's a Saturday instead of a weekday, everybody who did have a job is now off and is trying to play.
What I like about Last Epoch, is that, it seems like any mistakes you may make in building your character can be adequately fixed by looking for and/or crafting specific gear to compensate for your shortcomings.
I really love this game. We have been playing it for a few years now and were waiting for the Warlock and Falconeer to release ever since they were first announced. It's a bit sad that we can't really play them at the moment but what's a few days or weeks more after waiting for about 3 years. The thing that really saddens me is the massive backlash the devs have experienced. They had to pull everyone except the CMs from Discord because of the absolutely vile comments they had to endure over there.
Ive noticed that I’ve playing indie games more than ever before and so far the only problems they’ve had is server issues which is no surprise for an Indie studio
I’ve been enjoying LE for about 2 years now and it’s great..but I couldn’t even play this weekend cuz whenever I tried to log in I was in queue in the thousands…content creators really have an impact on the success of games these days…
Been playing this game for while since it was in early beta, changed so much. I love ARPG games and this is one of the best games in the genre atm. Yes it has some connection issues for some people, but I been playing US time at night when i'm off work and have not had any connection issues. If you like Diablo style games, this game is a must play.
I am having a lot of fun with this game. Take your time on your first playthrough and do the campaign. At some point, just make a character from scratch and build it like you want to...at least once. As for the server issues in the beginning, they will have all that fixed soon enough. It may take a week or so. Still, the game itself is fantastic!
I played LE last year, logged 500 hours, tried all its masteries and a blast. I think the only thing I'd like them to improve on is the graphics. Otherwise, if you think POE is too much and D4 is too dull, LE would be a perfect alternative.
Hello! I have to tell that the filter system is lacking when it comes to implicit attributes of items, since those are impossible to make filter to. I think the story is the best part of this game, and in the late game you will need to grind a lot for special items with "legendary potential". I believe late game throws out the entire forge system specificaly for two reasons. The first reason is that you can not craft an item with legendary potential, and the second is that you can only craft an item with up to to tier 5 attributes, and for tier 7, which is the maximum, you will need to find those items with legendary potential. This is my early foresight of lategame, after i have played 60 or so hours. I have talked about this to my friend, who disaggrees. Everything else seems wonderful
the quality of life, player agency, and build diversity/discovery in this title are S Tier. a breath of fresh air for the genre. as mentioned, there is significant room for improvement on online mode however.
One thing that immediately stands out is the different environments. All of them seem different. Thinking back on Diablo 4, although they had different biomes. They all felt the same.
After playing this game I can't see myself playing anything other then Diablo 4. They said it was easy but it isn't. it has just as much unneeded complexity as PoE!!! D4 can only get better, and it will thanks to a Triple-A budget and a simply simple, easy to pick up and understand system. Plus Season 4 will fix most of the loot issues.
Yay another borrowed power season with 1 new dungeon and 1 outdoor activity where you kill/collect/summon mobs.. woohooo i can't wait to spend a hour looking at my loot@@KiteVtuberDefender
Last Epoc's moment to moment gameplay, crafting and shash tab systems are the best out of any top down ARPGs out right now. Path of Exile may be better but the gameplay is boring as F button mashing compared to Last Epoch where I get a good flow with multiple skills.
The story point is so true. I beat the final boss of the campaign and afterwards I had to look up online if that was the final boss that I had fought...lol. All through the campaign I had no idea what was happening, I was just blasting my way through it. I will say, added cinematics in 1.0 helped a little bit. Not much though
You can also specilize in skills that are not in your skill bar. On my rogue I use decoy in my bar, but instead of that I specced in shuriken which is used by me using shift
Turn of Volumetric Lighting and the game looks a lot better IMO. Only complaint so far with 1.0 is the mouse bindings... cannot rebind right click, it throws an error :(

It's pretty great how customizable everything is...
Wow I didn’t even know this was a possibility, thanks for the info!
In some cases tho you will need to slot skills you have specialized even if you never touch them due to other mechanics sadge
An example being the Warlock's Chaos Bolts skill which can trigger Rip Blood, Harvest and Bone Curse all while Cthonic Fissure can trigger Chaos Bolts. Much synergy.
Pretty sure Diablo 4 was the Diablo killer lol
And Blizzard executives were the ultimate killer of their franchises in general, maybe even WoW. I dislike how people point all the blame on Kotick when Blizz execs were often just as abysmal, albeit with a smaller salary.
Damn must be why it has an insane amount of people playing it... Hate takes like this when D4 is just a very good casual game which is the point.

This game is my favorite ARPG so far. It's amazing how much depth they get out of very simple systems. Tons of fun builds to try.
It's definitely very fun. I'm also really happy that they have been as transparent as they have been. Very refreshing to see.
You clowns can't sleep without mentioning D4. LOL
LOL most loot in this game is shit and to make it even worse it's not even worth vendoring.
@@Notachupacabra They're reworking the itemization in next season, but I'm actually sure it'll still be shit.
Yeah whatever they did they worked some magic cause now I can play at damn near max graphics with no fps drops/stuttering with a mid end pc
and LOADING SCREEENS!
@@arjunratnadev The core gameplay is still fun. Online mode is just a feature to most of us.
All classes have skills that have interactions with other skills and it's great
Last epoch is a wonderful game. I play offline mostly. Such an amazing concept to have a full game to play offline
Was normal back then:D
Being able to pause in offline mode has spoiled me. I get interrupted so often by family/things, and now it's stress free to walk away and come back
That is not an amazing concept or a feature, it should be standard with any game.
I keep seeing the "unlimited" stash posts, no its not unlimited, in saying that if you got 100 tabs of gear you got a problem.
The build possibilities feel nearly limitless. It keeps me coming back for more
It's pretty limited ... It has depth but like it's simple enough that you can accidently fall into something cool
The build possibilities in Last Epoch are ok. If you really wanna experience that "almost limitless" feel, PoE is in a league all its own.
@@deceiver444 True but it's completely ruined by being able to fuck up your build easily by not following a guide... Last Epoch's systems are more forgiving which is worth a lot more to me personally

It is indeed a great game and I also love that there's an offline mode, but with that said, BE AWARE, Offline characters can never go to online and vice versa, the stash is separate as well, and although yes, cycle content is also available in offline, the online portions like merchant's guild aren't, obviously because you're offline.

It's a great game. Once the online issues are ironed out I think people are really going to love it. Until then I'm having fun in offline.
I don`t like it. It just feels clunky. Animations are not good, combat is weightless and feels floaty. Skills are boring to use, no wow moment with flashy and cool skills. Just bad IMO.
If you have time for it, I would highly suggest to keep playing and experience the "endgame" loop, since all those parts synergize so so well.
@@aechlloyd9593 Important to note that skills you level up again get a massive XP boost as well.
Only thing you can't respec is your class specialization choice. So there's no switching from Druid to Beastmaster, although you can go halfway up the passive trees for the two class specializations you don't select
I'm absolutely loving LE. The build diversity is fantastic
This game wants to have fun and it does that right! 7/10
This is what I can say after completing the game two times.

Its a solid game for sure. My fav is how you can link skills through the skill talents. For example, you can make Shift cast shuriken, which still utilizes teh shuriken talents...even though you dont even need to put it on your bar and just use it passively. Its a fantastic system.

Yeah, it feels a bit like what fighters are finally doing, but for ARPGs
Honestly I think some of the visuals are great. There is this one bit on a stormy ship with these great lighting effects
This game is so damn good. Feels like a true successor to Diablo 2

Ayyyye, congrats on 1 mil subs!
Not being able to create your own character is weird it put me off.
WASD movement kinda sucks when you've got five abilities plus potions to spam
My friend told me that in Last Epoch there is a teleporting bear called the Jahith Bear, which is a nod to Diablo II's famous runeword Enigma, made with the runes Jah, Ith, and Ber. So even though it's fun to be sour on D4, this team pays homage to the OG sources :}
Offline Mode was a HUGE W for them on this release, been supporting the game since like a few months after its EA release a few years back, and safe to say its payed off :)
Happy to see where they take the game forward.
im glad you reference the fact that there is an offline mode which is so important and yet absent in many releases now which shows the weakness when servers are not present. Not being able to access the product you paid for just downright sucks. Offline is the classic old fashion thing to always lean on to at least have fun and not rely on servers being up somewhere or shutting down one day.
I'll take lesser production value over 60 dollar mount armor
Any and everyday
Last epoch is everything I've ever wanted in an ARPG and also I'm very sure the modding community will come in clutch for this games offline mode 100%
Absolutely agree that production almost doesn't matter If features and implementation is good.
I’m playing a withering cthonic fissure warlock and can honestly say I’ve never had so much fun in an ARPG.
Happy you enjoyed the game man. It really is a great passion build experience.
I'm a lifelong Diablo kid (as many of us are in the ARPG world... admit it, we're old heads)
But wow...
Great Review! Very much appreciate it! Thanks!
Playing a summoner necro build right now and having a ton of fun! For an indie game it looks really good. And offline mode is perfect for us casual, no friend gamer dads.
As gamer dad myself I also pick solo find only items challenge too.
summoner necro gang, lets go!!
@@draakisback I reckon so huh? Damn
Will the dev address some very basic things like:
1. Enable LMB and RMB swapping
2. Add a Standstill/ lock in place button
What I like about Last Epoch, is that, it seems like any mistakes you may make in building your character can be adequately fixed by looking for and/or crafting specific gear to compensate for your shortcomings.
I feel like your microphone needs a little cleaning? not sure if thats mold, but yeah o.o
Video fantastic as always.
Great vid. Last Epoch is imo an amazing game. It's my fav in the arpg genre.
"Diablo killer" - this phrase just takes me 15 years back :D
Ive noticed that I’ve playing indie games more than ever before and so far the only problems they’ve had is server issues which is no surprise for an Indie studio
This isn't an indie game.

They all felt the same.
after playing this game, i cannot see myself going back to diablo 4.
See you in season 4.
@@Zederokgood luck grinding a game that has microtransactions lol (and that you pay what? 70$ for?) fuck u blizzered...
A lot of us feel the same way
Yay another borrowed power season with 1 new dungeon and 1 outdoor activity where you kill/collect/summon mobs.. woohooo i can't wait to spend a hour looking at my loot@@KiteVtuberDefender
