Thank you very much for the information you share with us, be well and have safe roads. I am the owner of the Transalp 650 2006 and I am following you from Greece.

Great to hear that you are planning to play around with suspension 😊 I'm planning to the same with mine 700, can't wait for the video!
BTW do you have any experience with aftermarket preload adjusters for front forks? The ones screw in instead of top caps. Do you recommend those, or is the new progressive spring the only option to rise the front?

Hi there! I've never tried those adjusters because they don't look strong enough to me, and I would be scared to have them break in the middle of nowhere. Also, if your plan is to lift the front, they will have minimal impact at the cost of making the front stiffer. If your objective is to make the front suspension harder, you can increase the preload by inserting spacers between the caps and the springs. That will also increase a little bit the height, but again, at the cost of a stiffer front suspension.
On my Transalp 650, the suspension was too soft, so I put Wirth progressive springs, they were a little bit longer and stiffer, so it made the front 25mm higher. I gained another 15mm with an easy trick that I will explain in the video. 40mm of extra ground clearance was plenty for me. Cheers!

Hi @@coastrider8881, any updates on the trick to increase the front hight 15mm? I am currently fittinge the Wirth progressive springs to my Transalp 600 and was wondering if the trick will work for the 600 aswell. Please let me know. And thank you for the video!

@@MatthiasBrosch Yes! Sorry, I've been busy during Christmas, and also a bit sick. But the video will be out in few days. Also, it would be nice if you could measure both springs, the stock one and the Wirth, to compare. And if you go offroad frequently I recomend putting 7,5W oil instead of 10W, or the opposite if you're more road oriented, you can jump to 15W.

Oh, and the trick to lift 15mm is pretty easy, you'll probably get disapointed ahahah

Nice i am looking forward to the Video! I have measured the Springs, the wirth ones are slightly longer than the stock ones with Spaces. Cheers
