It became a litmus test on players paying attention for me. When I see a new ME let's play, I search for this moment, and if the player misses it, I'm outta' here. 😄
I know you're a few episodes ahead now, so someone may have already explained this, but in case they haven't, it's important to know how the dialogue wheel works (possibly even more important than combat!) Options on the left of the wheel: These are usually requests for more information. You can choose all of them, one after another. Options on the right of the wheel: These are alternatives and you can only choose one. They will move a conversation on or end it. - Top right: Known as "Paragon" options, these tend to be more conciliatory or diplomatic. Choosing these will sometimes earn you Paragon points. - Bottom right: Known as "Renegade" options, these tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. They will sometimes earn you Renegade points. - Middle right: These are neutral options, and won't earn you either Renegade or Paragon points. Note: Having a high Paragon or Renegade score can help you (especially later in the game), so it's generally a good idea to stick to the top or bottom right options whenever you can.
So happy to see someone new getting to experience this absolutely amazing game series. I've replayed it too many times - so much that I was saying, don't miss speaking to that person! and that one! :,) Enjoy your first play through!
I came in on Mass Effect 2 on 360, didn't play 1 on Original Xbox, then played 3 but after they updated the ending so I didn't know what the fuss was about. Only played 1 because of Legendary edition release.
Oh man it would be awesome if you could do a full playthrough of the trilogy, but I'd understand if it's too much. It may seem like a lot upfront, but it's literally an epic space opera!
Ahhhhh! I think you're going to love these games. They're SO GOOD! Played through these back-to-back-to-back when ME 3 released and it's probably my favourite gaming experience? Even though there's other games I love way more than any of these, doing the trilogy in one go was just... So good! I often say it's the one franchise I wish I could play again for the first time. Hope you get even a fraction of enjoyment out of these that I did. I think you'll love them. P.S. Oh, also, NO SPOILERS, but there's a possibility that I'll never talk to you again. I'll let you know in a lengthy post whether or not I'll talk to you or never talk to you again. 🙂

When it first came out it was a timed exclusive to Xbox and a LOT of people didn't end up picking it up when it launched on ps3 and PC. Most people either played it on Xbox as it came out or waited until the remaster
@deathtoraiden2080 it's not. A lot of people I know grew up on playstation and didn't buy ME until the legendary edition. I didn't. And it was, in fact, a timed exclusive. It didn't come to PC for a year. And didn't release on playstation until 2012. By that time a lot of the hype for it had died off. And the ps4 launched a year later. By the time a lot of people knew it was ported, they already switched to ps4. Which mass effect wasn't playable on ps4 until the legendary edition
@@sirlothric6357 Your personal anecdotes are just that: yours. Mass Effect is not some hidden exclusive gem that people found out about with the demake edition. What an absolutely ridiculous notion. The hype for the ME trilogy never died off, even today it remains THE scifi RPG to play. 2012 was also not the first year PS3 got access to Mass Effect as 2 was released the year prior. And no, people don't just throw their consoles in the bin the second a new one releases. You can still play ME3 MP on PS3 and find games today.

I'm saying a LOT of people were unable to but it for 5 years after it came out, and by then heard it ended terribly. It's not just personal anecdotes. I've seen stories online of people on playstation who never bothered buying it because they heard me3 ended terribly. Why buy a game when you know its gonna be a shit payoff? And even with this playthrough, it's evident there are people who literally didn't know it was on anything other than Xbox
Awe yeah you're in for a treat Pagan cause this is an amazing game. Mass Effect 2 is even better and ME3 is also good minus the ending being messed up before they added a better one later on.
I remember starting the first Mass Effect yeeeeears ago on PC, got a couple hours in but ultimately didn't stick to it. It's been so long that I didn't really remember anything but still had a constant sense of deja vu watching your video 😂 now I realized that I also have the legendary edition on my PlayStation, sooo maybe I should give it another go 🤔🤔 (too many games, too little time 🥲)
