you're so Naive of you still keep on blabbering about "LACK" of infrastructure. When you mean "LACK" means there is none... You might be so Blind and Deaf I think.... Shame
Hello Little Miss Rubi, I'm so glad that you really enjoy the tour. And thank you so much for choosing and trusting Island Trek Tours as your tour provider. Leighbeth
That was really cool that your daughter was able to experience something like that at a very young age. Something she could brag about to her friends. 😆😆😆 Also, I’m really amazed how you both (parents) are such great swimmers. I consider myself as a good swimmer, but I could never stay afloat or tread water for a long time. And you guys made it look so simple and effortless. 👏👏👏😁😁😁
Thank you so much! She's definitely so excited to tell all her friends! She's so proud of herself❤ We're actually are not that great of swimmers, I think it was the excitement it gave us an adrenaline boost😅
Hi from Canada. I binge watched all the episodes this past week. I so enjoyed them. You’re a wonderful family; love your no nonsense approach, Shahad, love Tim’s sense of humour and young Miss Ruby - such a lovely child. Love her fun filled eyes, and her air b&b tours. You are an amazing family and I look forward to the next video. I’m in withdrawal, lol. Safe travels. 😍
First and foremost, the whale sharks would always visit Oslob waters even without being fed. The feeding only began in 2012 when the local town officials of Oslob were alarmed by the sudden increase of local and foreign visitors to their small town to swim with whale sharks. The whale sharks have been visiting Oslob nobody knows since when. In 1970s whale sharks have been a daily occurrence already in Oslob waters so much so that they were considered pests or enemies by local fishermen because they always got entangled in their fishing nets that led to their destruction. The arrival and popularity of social media is the reason why whale sharks in Oslob has become so popular today because of the local tourists who posted photos and videos of their interaction on their social media accounts with the sharks often showing them riding at the back, holding onto the tails and fins. Their videos and photos went viral and that's the start why the local officials with the help of the national watchdog (DENR) and the NGO groups such as the local WWF office to regulate the activities. Thus the rules now strictly implemented. During the first 6 months of the pandemic (March to September 2020) the whale sharks interaction activities in Oslob was completely shut down when local and global tourism went to an abrupt halt worldwide. However, the whale sharks kept visiting still everyday even without being fed for 6 months. That only to confirm to all those who are concerned about animal rights advocates, that whale sharks don't visit Oslob for the feeding because as I mentioned above, they have been visiting Oslob since time immemorial and secondly, during the first 6 months of the pandemic, they still visited Oslob without feeding. Besides, those whale sharks are not herded or coralled or restricted. They come to Oslob at their own will and they just disappear into the deep blue yonder in the afternoon like what they have been doing for decades.

That was a great adventure. As a mom with two sons, it's one of my dreams to bring them to adventure and places they'll never forget. Me and my husband would want our kids to have such fun when they're old enough. Is Rubi okay? The weather may take a toll on her cause I hear a little clogged when she speaks. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines.
Aw I pray that you can do it one day! Thank you so much! Rubi had a stuffy nose for a couple of days, I think it was the weather change or something but she was completely fine after 😊
@@TheSchells I'm glad she's okay. I hope you'll be able to adjust to the weather cause a lot of us have colds due to the changes, very hot and humid in the day then rain during the night. More power, views and subscriber to your channel! I hope you can also visit Mindanao and some part of Luzon other than Manila.

Great !! Glad you enjoyed and have fun with the gentle giant in the sea. Once a lifetime you swim with a whale shark.
We may not have the good infrastructure, but what we lack we surely make up in beautiful NATURE and the friendliness of the locals.
@ゅ roads, bridges, seaport and airports, good accomadations (hotels, inns, restaurants) in many tourism areas, etc.
@@rainieresguerra4780 Please also include internet. Internet is part of infrastructure.
As the good late Sen. Ninoy Aquino said. “Can the people eat these infrastructures”
