I bought the popcorn already cause I saw it on your list. It's amazing looking. I am severely allergic to corn. It might put me flat on my back with swollen joints but it's, to me, worth a try. I'll report back. Uncovered the corn today. Ate a good amount. I like it. Chewed it up for the juice but I think you need 3 stomachs to digest it. So it went pitoowee. (Spit it out). I'll see if I get a reaction. Otherwise I will cut it up and freeze some to add to my blender green drinks. Some can be quite bitter.
Cool Info, I think you are the best on explain the process. I saw that when I harvest corn it is really wet, due to the fact that it is pushing the water from the bottom to the upper side of the leaves. Any suggestion on how to keep them dry, so that it can improve the shelf life? best regards from Italy, Michele.
Hi, I actually love the taste and so did my dinner guests. But! I'm hung up on the blackout dome, that you "made"? On my first attempt I use and upside thick plasitc bowl and small tray but still had some light leaks bc slightly green. How did you make it? Just spray paint a clear one? What kind of paint? I've tried it before with mill jugs and it cracks off pretty easily. Thanks for answering.
I’ve tried but because the seeds are so large, it likes to bring up the coir as a huge canopy, even with a ton of weight on top. It’s possible, but requires a lot of extra TLC.
I see in your video you say to weight them but i have a print out of your microgreens sheet (ver 1.02) where it says to no weight or stack. do you find weight works better.
Thanks for the video, you didn't post the link to the making of blackout dome when in the video you said you would though :p also was hoping to see the total harvest weight, in the description it says 15lb but I am guessing maybe you mean 1.5lb?
@@drew-shourd I ended up just putting them in a plastic tote and stacjed them, I think thst worked ok but I realized I had a complete dark storage room so I just left them in their, no domes or totes required that way
@@PrincetonMicrogreens OMG i just cant wait for this! Will it be next week? P.S. could you give me a sneak peak because I'm starting a new batch soon and want to use your seed densities :)
Great video except about your packaging. Your customers are not educated on plastics. These do not break down under normal conditions or in a backyard compost. It has to be composted at an industrial composting facility. Which most cities DO NOT HAVE, If your city has them great! But most do not.
Are you not a fan of our compostable containers made from corn starch? I’ve composted these personally in the back yard and they disintegrated in the matter if months! We love them and so do our customers. 🤷🏻♂️
@@PrincetonMicrogreens I wouldn't say I am not a fan of them, I am however curious if what you say is accurate. Do you have a video documenting the break down? I am very familiar with the plastics made from corn starch and I've tried many times breaking them down in VERY active compost piles and after 3 to 4 months they are still complete.
Double dome the top with a clear lid under the black. That way you can lift the black and still see through the clear without it flopping over.
Lol his excitement is INFECTIOUS! Keep it up!
At 9:12 the word you were looking for was micro-climate. Its very interesting I cant wait to try to grow that variety. Thanks for the great content !
I'm using the box the trays were delivered in. Spray painted the inside and duct taped the flaps so it's nice and tall.
I'm hooked! Great job explaining your processes on all your videos, and thank you for your military service.
Awww thank you so much!!!
i like to grow them before they get their grassy parts, harvest the fleshy stems and mix in the salad for added sweetness
Thank you so much for all your generous information & this great guide to download !
All the best 4 U
Greetings from Chile
Have you tried packing them with a paper towel to soak up the moisture?
the "thats a fun sound" made me die for some reason
Thanks Peter from Princeton Microgreens. Your informative videos inspired me to start my microgreens project.
Great Job. Thank you for your videos and information.
Greeting from Indonesia.
Peter, what is the amount of weight you have used for this 200 gr of corn?
Hi! Wondering where you got the blackout domes?
We have a video on how to make them. Go check it out! 😎
Great video, appreciate the grow...
why is 90 percent of everything on microgreens on " how to grow them", and everyone most everyone doing that disappeared 2 to 5 years ago?

are you still alive?
REPORT BACK!?!?
Yes, I did good. Still have the rest of the seeds (kernels). It does have a slight bitterness taste afterwards.
I just bought the containers... I have a market soon!
Hope you like them as much as us!
Nice colour
Can you please post or repost the video on how to make black out domes? I am unable to find it after trying many of your links. Thank you.

Very cool. Can’t wait to try this one.
How did it go?
how many water after 4 days you do? around 1 liter??
how many time s do you watter it in the first four days
How do you decide wether to use 1 inch or 2 inch trays ?
Where did get your container for your seeds? Also how can I purchase the blackout dome?
2 gal bucket from Amazon.
For the blackout dome, check out our video on how to make a blackout dome.
You are doing a great job with your videos! Keep it up, your channel is a great source for useful information how to do things. Greetings from Sweden.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Means so much!
Hello from the US! 🥰🥰
Great video! Where can I find the clear lid?
There is a link to the lids in the description in the video on how to make the blackout dome!
can you cover black oil sunflower seeds with coir the same way to help prevent mold?
I’ve tried but because the seeds are so large, it likes to bring up the coir as a huge canopy, even with a ton of weight on top.
It’s possible, but requires a lot of extra TLC.
Wow!
Cool
Are micro greens only for salad?
No, they’re packed full of nutrition and should be used in a variety of ways. Be creative.
cool info

everything works but weight makes them grow more even as some seeds takes more time to keep up
I give mine 10% off over 100 order weekly

Buy clear dome, cover holes, spray paint it black. I painted the outside with a paint good for plastic.

Hi, how many grams of seed do you use for basil? Do you use weight or just an empty tray? Thanks much!
About 10g for basil, and we leave 15lbs of weight on it for about 5-7 days.
Keep an eye out for our new seed density grow guide soon!

How much did you pay for the absorbing pads? The site doesn’t specify.
Roughly $300 for about 5,800 pads
Thank you!
Loved this but you didn't "sell it" at all... toothpaste??? Fluoride??? Really??? Still love your videos😀
