Ths reason why nexus & shield worked so good is because it was all new talent.

Having Shawn join the nWo as a twist and having HHH getting involved by trying to talk sense into HBK and getting jumped. Taker as Surprise member on Hardy's side via Hogan.
Keep it going to Mania but man give us a Survivor Series match of the NWO vs Team Sting with Jeff Hardy, Sid, and Goldberg. Then start to move Cena towards world title contention against Roman Reigns or perhaps a run against The Fiend.
