- Quick video on how to make Homopolar Motor from a battery, a neodymium magnet and a piece of wire.
Any electrical questions, please comment and subscribe; I may do a video for the answer.
Dude this is really simple yet fun to make other people who do this have weird designs not like yours thus I think this is a really good video nice man
What should be the thickness of wire
Think I used 1.5mm2
This doesn’t work, but it did cause some sparks
Thank you by far the simplest video for a school project attempt.
I remember doing this in 7th grade, i made it go real fast
Luv this irt told me the materilas I need
I loved it ❤
Cool
Very good
Hello I have two questions ? Can I use a paper clip isnated of copper wire and can I use normal magnets instead of neodymium magnets, thanks.
I guess so, give it a try, let me know. Experimenting is half the fun
it won’t work if you dont use copper wire it only works for copper not metel
but neodymium magnets are super strong so i recommend you use them instead of normal magnets
I tried it but it didn't work and the battery was getting extremely extremely hot please and I try with copper and steel and it didn't work .
Why did this happened?
Dude i bought copper wire and the same as you show but mine is not working and also the magnet is not attracting iy
Copper won’t be attracted to the magnet as such. Just needs to be as close as possible without touching. Also a little nudge may help to get it going. Let me know?
1. If you are using ceramic mangets, they are only strong enough when you wrap them in foil. 2. Be sure the wire is shaped so as not to run into the battery when trying to spin. 3. Make sure it's as symmetrically balanced as possible.
How make this magnet
Is there a heat between battery and a copper?
The battery is power
Can u use a normal magnet
No
It worked for me, thanks
Itu mahnet atau bukan yang dibawah itu
Battery charge un charge please tell me 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tapash das hi, sorry don’t understand your question?
I tried this once and the wire got extremely hot. I cannot stress “extremely hot” enough. anyone care to explain why this might’ve happened?
Hi
It’s acting in the same way a heating element works in an electric cooker or an immersion heater. Essentially there is virtually a direct short across the battery converting the energy stored within the battery into motion and some into heat. Ohms law V=IxR. Therefore 1.5v (V) / resistance (R) = current (I) creating heat which the cable due to its size becomes warm.
@@askasparky6509 thank you☺
Heting effects of electric current
its called making electricity
Can it be any magent
Yes, the type I mentioned are strong for their size
@@askasparky6509 thank you
Whats the size of Magnet?
About the same diameter as the battery and maybe 5 to 8mm think. Any size will do as long as it’s strong
Its not working for me the wire keep getting caught to magnet
Is it definitely copper wire? As this should not be attracted to magnet. Make tiny adjustments. Also give the wire a nudge to get it started. Hope this helps. Let me know :)
Yes it worked out thanks
It was the wire sonic switch it.
So i
i can use any wire
Nope it gotta be cooper cuz it attracts to magnet
@@wentir275 copper is not magnetic. copper is just a good conductor
@@sparkindark1427 im sorry im stupid TuT
Not working
same here
there's nothing "motor" about this. it's just an electro magnet.
Hey cody, thanks for the discussion, surely electrical energy converted into mechanical energy and rotary....motor.
well said sparky
That's exactly what a motor is
I hate black screen fade outs! Dislike!
