Goodness, thank you 😊 That’s a really thoughtful comment, I do appreciate it. I was hoping to get over to France for some longer trips this year, but (as you know) the weather just wasn’t consistent enough for it 🤷🏻♂️ Hopefully we’ll have better luck & can travel a bit more widely soon 🤞🏼
Thanks for taking us along on another trip, Geoff. It'll be interesting to see how Compton settles into its new identity - time will tell. Another two sublime landings, sir - well done. 👍😎
you certainly see some beautiful views and in a lovely aircraft . really enjoy your video's thank you for sharing the journeys .all the best from skegvegas
Very nice video again Geoff. Busy circuit and interesting to see the changes there. Thanks for posting as I know the work that goes into producing them. 👍
Another cracking video Geoff, you sure do get the weather 😎. Iam surprised you managed to get your radio call in 😅. Btw.. liked that included you checklist .. may copy the format 🫣🤭.
Thank you very much 👍🏼 I tried to jump in the only gap & still got trod on 😄🤷🏻♂️ Still, I got there eventually & was glad I wasn’t their radio operator on that day! I love checklists & they are fantastic, assuming the pilot uses them properly! 😬🫢😅
When I see a thumbnail like that referencing one of my favourite (unacceptable these days) albums I'm always gonna click :-) Glad I did what a lovely video again Geoff, quality of the editing is superb. Rate of climb on the EuroFox with one on board is amazing. Busy flyin with all those £15 landing fees Guy could give up the directing bit 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh yes! Got to love a little NWA 😎 Thanks for watching Terry, always very flattering to have you watch. That rate of climb (one up, obviously) is so much fun! 😄 I think you are 100% on the money there, with the prices at Compton now I’m sure his diversification can free him of the need for a film directors salary 🤣
With the new Light Sport Microlight category at 600Kg you should be ok. Newly uprated versions of many standard microlight designs are appearing, so I'm sure you will be able to find something suitable soon.
that’s good news - though I was near a lovely old Cessna 140 the other evening, and I thinking fitting into it with a passenger alongside me would have been next to impossible. The width was the problem more than MTOW. I would need to choose the aircraft carefully.@@125brat
If you ever plan to fly to Scotland.. I suggest staying in an air B and B at Fern (Black Isle) which was the old HMS OWL airfield . You can stay with the most wonderful host in the refurbished Ultra furnished old Control Tower Featured in the TV prog "The restoration man" 5 years ago or so.. You look over from your bed to the runway you would have landed on.. My wife gave me this as a surprise Birthday present and the fabulous owner arranged to get me permission to fly my RC Plane and Helicopter off the strip....Just wonderful Birthday present. They also have an old RAF hut which can take a family.. Anniversary pres?????perhaps.. I have stayed in many places round the World in my job but the owners of the control Tower are the best you can get.
That sounds amazing! Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’m hoping that we might get a decent summer at some point in the near future so that I can do some more adventurous trips like that 🤞🏼👍🏼
It was interesting to see how Compton had changed. Thanks for watching Giles 👍🏼 The engine speed flag is given when the RPM drops or rises below or above a factory determined level… effectively RPM low in this case 😊
@@FlyingDarkLord The acceleration on the ground run is quite something and you'll be surprised how steep the climb is. There can be a bang at the top if the cable releases under tension but it's not a big deal if you're ready for it.
Compton Abbas looks great now. I can't wait to get back there and see for myself how its changed!
I’d be interested to see what you think 🤔
Lovely video Geoff. You create a really positive atmosphere in these little movies. I can’t wait to start adventuring to other airfields more

I missed this , and have only just viewed it now. Nice video, and landings.... clean plane , and shirt😉🤣! Looked like an excellent day out.
😄👍🏼 Thank you my friend! I really must clarify the situation on those shirts! 😂

Thanks for coming back for more 🫡 Good to see you again 😊👍🏼
Props Chocks and two smoking runways.
😂 Nice! I see what you did there 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Now that's what I call a busy circuit!! Cheers for another great vid
The radio operator did a great job of keeping us all in order 👍🏼
Thanks for watching & taking time to comment 😊🙏🏻

It makes it all worthwhile when I receive comments like this & have you coming back for more. Thank you 😊🙏🏻
Great day out. We had so much fun. Great to see Eve and Alex. Awesome video as ever. See you next time. 😊
We’re looking forward to seeing you both soon 🥳 Thanks for organising it all 👍🏼
WOW!!! That was a BUSY circuit, Geoff... well played! Luvly video again 👌👏👏👏
Fantastic to see you back again 👍🏼 Thanks for watching & your continued support 😊🙏🏻

More importantly sir, thanks for watching! 😊 Sharing an experience with others always makes it even better! 👍🏼
Thanks again for sharing your flying, always a pleasure.

I love those little old taildraggers, though as I weigh 108 kg, I don’t think I’d ever be able to take a passenger in one 🤣
I think it’d be great fun! 😄 The little taildraggers are so twitchy, perhaps it’s better that it’s a pilot only experience 😉

Hi Geoff, where did you complete your flight training?
I trained with Mark McClelland from AirsportUK. He’s a great guy & if you are interested I can give you his contact details 😊👍🏼
Straight outta Compton😅👏🏻👏🏻
Yeah 😄 I mean… hardly gangsta! 😂
That looked a wonderful day out. It was nice to see a TMG being used as well. Why does your aircraft 'flag' Engine speed after you land?
It was interesting to see how Compton had changed. Thanks for watching Giles 👍🏼 The engine speed flag is given when the RPM drops or rises below or above a factory determined level… effectively RPM low in this case 😊
I hope that you'll enjoy your gliding experience. Would that be in a motorglider or in a pure gilder?
They have a motor glider, but he is a conventional glider instructor, so I think if I fly with him it’ll be in a ‘proper’ glider 😊👍🏼
@@FlyingDarkLord That's great. I hope that you'll get the chance to have a winch launch. They take a while to get used to.
@@davidallan9624 I’ve heard it’s quite unnerving on release 😳
