Looking GORGEOUS Beloved Queen! Every one of those dolls was designed by Bernard Lipfert who was a good friend of Madame Alexander but designed dolls for EVERYONE!
My favorite is the little Ginny doll. I remember my Mom showing us hers when we were little and I was always a little sad I couldn't play with them. They had the sweetest lil faces and outfits though.
You’re such a wonderful business woman!! I’m so proud of you!! I hope that in the future more people will help their children to think about what they might like to do for a living when they grow up. Bless you for all you do; educating us about all things “doll” related. I love 💕 everything you teach us and am grateful to you for guiding us to make good choices when choosing dolls for our collections. And the wise choice of getting what we ❤️ love.
I LOVE the S&H girl! Those big brown eyes are lovely. Nope! I'm way to kid in a toy shop type of a collector and totally unfocused. I love of dolls of all periods and made in all materials. Right now, I'm playing with my Bleuettes and Bobettes but have a feeling the Alexanderkins might come out to play, unless one of the MA Maggie face Alice would like to move here! Ooh, or the Little Betty one, what a sweetie! Would your friend let us see his Alice collection? It would be a real treat 😊.
Love for you and baby! Enjoying your channel👵 fyi.....Boost and Perk come from Twin Pines of Scarborough, Maine just an hour south of me. There was an article in Doll Reader some years ago about Nick Hill, who developed these doll cleaning products because of his wife's doll collection. Very interesting😊 TFS and blessings on your precious babe!
@@RachelHoffmanDolls you're welcome. I know Dollspart carries all their products but I just found that article so interesting I never forgot it,lol. Love my dolls🤗
My collecting focus is Barbie and other fashion dolls of that scale. I have a few larger fashion dolls, but not very many (mainly the short-lived SuperSize Barbie collection from 1977-1979). I love fashion dolls from all decades, but my focus is the 70s and 80s. I have a substantial collection of Vintage and Mod Barbie dolls, but the bulk of my collection is 70s and 80s Barbie, including fashions, structures, vehicles and playsets. I especially love the late 70s, which for Barbie was the early SuperStar era. I also collect dolls like Kenner Darci/Dana/Erica, Kenner Bionic Woman, Mego Cher and other celebrity dolls, Durham Charly, and Ideal Tuesday Taylor. From the 80s, I also collect Hasbro Jem. There are also a few smaller-scale dolls from this period that I enjoy, like Kenner Glamour Gals and Mattel Princess of Power. Like Linda, my real passion is taking lackluster dolls and cleaning and restoring them to look like new. When a doll goes up on the shelf, I want it to look like it leaped off the pages of a Sears Wish Book. I’m a big fan of the playsets and structures, and restoring them is one of my favorite things. I’ve done a lot of digital restoration of paper decals of playsets like the Star Traveler and the various Barbie Corvettes. I think having nice clean new labels can really make a tired toy come back to life and give me that fresh catalog page effect I’m going for. Loved seeing all the Alice In Wonderland dolls, while those aren’t the type of dolls I collect, I always enjoy learning about older dolls. And I love that you're a local Denver business, one of these days I need to make it to your shop and see all the goodies.
I have an Alice collection. My MA Maggie I bought nakers at a doll show and dressed her myself, but my MA Margaret is a proper Alice. And I have a *lot* of various other Alices! All inspired by my 70s MA Alice that my Mom got for me back in the day. I wanted the MA Wendy, but she was missing a shoe, so Mom got me the Alice instead. My wise Mom; I miss her.
Thank you beautiful lady for the updates,,, keep up the good work,, haven't been watching your channel for a few days ,,,one of my daughters is supposed to give birth to her second baby anytime now. You and your baby please have a great and wonderful day. P.S. My granddaughter's love all your little dolls.
Rachel, I am so happy to hear that You and Dereck are doing so well:)!! And yes, if there is a "Career Day" at your Child's School, Dolls would be a DREAM for a Child as much as it is for us Toy Collectors:)!! And your Smoothie looks delicious:)!! As for Ginny Dolls, I only have one, but it is not an antique Ginny. My Ginny, that I got as a present from my Grandfather is from the 1981 Sasson Collection:)!! I also dressed her in a Sasson shorts overalls:)!! I still have her and I absolutely love her:)!! As for Dolls and Teddy Bears, it is hard for me to stick with one theme because of money and just also loving it all, no matter what. However, it is what is cute, collectable, affordable, and brings me happiness that counts in my collection:)!! The only antique dolls that I own is a Bride's Doll from the 1950s that was my Mom's Doll and I almost forgot, my Horsman 1970 Baby Doll:)!! As for the Horsman Doll, I think that 50 years is an antique and she would be around 51 years an antique:)! As for my Mom, she gave me her antique dolls when I was 7 years old and I still have her, but she is too well loved clothes wise:)!! Unfortunately, I am not sure if my Mom's Bride Doll is a Madame Alexander because there are no tags on her. As for your Collection: My favorites are: The German Character Doll with her super cute coat with hood as well as muffs, The 3rd Doll in this video Madame Alexander 1950s Alice and Wonderland Doll with the blue dress and white lace apron, The 1930s Composition Doll with a very innocent face with "crazing" greenish eyes, blue dress as well as her baby blue ribbon, and Alice and Wonderland Ginny:)!!! Rachel, I am so happy that things are going well for you:)!! As for myself, I am just happy that I found 2 Boyds Teddy Bears for $10.95 at a local gift shop sale, but one of them Lincoln B. Bearington is my first Mohair Teddy Bear that when I researched it, it sells for $100.00 and up:)!! Rachel, thank you so much for sharing your Dolls and your personal story of your pregnancy as well as how you are doing in general:)!! I pray that You, Dereck, and Your Unborn Child are healthy and happy:)!!
My favorites are the Wendy Ann face and Tiny Betty!!!. Ginny and Toodles also. I have 2 Ginnys. I have never had a Betsey McCall but I think she is so cute! I do have several sets of her paperdolls. When I was a child I would cut them out of the McCall's magazine - my favorite paperdoll.
What's going on... We will soon have enough zucchini in our garden to feed the entire west coast. It's hot here in Oregon again. We were planning a Boise trip next weekend but it's really hot there too. Trying to see if we have the courage. Is Colorado getting this heat too? Please stay safe and comfortable, little Mama.
Congratulations on your baby!! Many blessings!
Thank you very much!
You look beautiful Rachel. Time goes by so fast. Enjoy getting ready for the baby.
