Thank you Eduardo. I lived in Manhattan for many years but haven't been there lately. Your video really captures life as it is there. Great photo selections.
Lovely video. Perfect music choice and wonderful rendering from that camera. As you say, only a few months have passed but there’s a genuine sense of nostalgia. You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone. Thanks for putting it up.👍
thank you for your awesome video. it always makes me relax watching your channel. especially at this difficult time around the world with the covid-19. thank you
Great photos! It's kind of ironic that a waist level finder + a leaf shutter is a really stealthy combo for street photography, given how cumbersome it is to compose and focus with a TLR.
Those were amazing pictures Ed. I'm just getting into film photography, and your videos are very inspiring. Thank you for putting out these great videos!
This was super enjoyable - especially as a New Yorker who knows every block and corner you showed. The film/photo format really works - I am impressed - especially while doing street photography. This was also a little sad; we saw a lot of older men, and each time I wondered if they were still alive. A beautiful tribute to NYC.
that first skate shot turned out really nice. but how did you not take a photo of the dude sitting on front of all that steam coming out...? take care.
Sometimes I get slightly blurred images even using the tripod with my TLRs, so...I find the results proposed absolutely valid! And yes, the flatbed scanner is an agony: it always offers colors that don't fully reflect the film used and, personally, this dampens the enthusiasm in seeing the results. For the most important images: lab and drum drum drum! Always nice videos, keep it up! Greetings from Italy...and keep safe!
It would be super cool if you do the same route, the same shots kind of but now in this new time, to get a comparison of how the streets look now! Ektar 100
@@edpavez I mean in the near future, do it maybe as you feel its ok to go out with distance and care for others :) I am staying home too! but in Germany the situation is not so bad luckily... slowly the restrictions are being lifted... whenever I go out, its because its a must, and I take my camera with me to document :)
Vamos ahi amigo!!
Very impressive shots!! I got a Mudan/Peony TLR from my dad. It is a Chinese made model, basically was a replica of Rolleicord in the 70s. And I didn’t find any review on UA-cam. If that model is available somewhere in your collection or you are interested in using it, would you please make a review video of it?
Curious. I know you generally use an eos M to film UA-cam videos, but what did you use for this? Was it a gopro? Or still and eos m? Thanks! Always love all your work. Maybe some day we will run into each other with our cameras 😊
nice to see another shoot film episode... last week I missed out on the same Rolleiflex for £180 on eBay I was going to bid but it didn't have case but was working I wish I just bought it now 😕😊
Great video. Weird to see the city with so many people. Street photography with the rollei is fun and challenging. I also shot film around NYC a lot. @mediumformula
Wonderful video. I feel like I did after 9/11. There was before, when things were normal and after. This is the same feeling. Anyway, your rollei videos are outstanding, it really is so much fun to shoot! Keep up the good work.
Just scanned 24 frames for Ektar with a Rolleicord. Vuescan cant handle the scans. I have to increase the boarders into the blacks to be able to get a decent color....
Hello Ed. Incredible video as always. I have a rolleiflex fx pretty much similar to the E but I have difficulty in acquiring spot on focus or at least it takes me awhile. You seem to be able to get them quite quickly even at wide open. Do you mind to share your technics thanks.
I'll translate the comment he made me about this: He's a homeless who's there every day. I left him on the video precisely because although is powerful, it is not necessary to photograph him or try to make "art" out of the misery of others.
0:05 you and me Eduardo, you and me. Each morning I wake up I have no time to mess around with trying to comb my hair. I just put on my hoodie when I go out for a walk with the dog. Barber shops actually opened this week but I still prefer not to go. 2:05 cool guy was super cool.
Saludos.
Very nice video presentation of this wonderful camera. But I've never understood why so many North Americans say "Rolleeeeflex" instead of the original German pronunciation, which is "Rollei" as in "Roll-eye."
Eduardo Pavez Goye: pictures of people smoking. Saludos!
Peace Ed! Great video as always! The skate pics...haha twice you captured wonderful stills of them but neither skater landed their tricks...gotta remove em from the video!!! Haha just playing. Thanks for sharing great content~
how refreshing to see life in the city how it once was
Ektar 100 is incredibly underrated...much like Ed's haircut
Here for the photography, stay for the music.
Good to see you again man!
glad to have you here again.
Thank you Eduardo. I lived in Manhattan for many years but haven't been there lately. Your video really captures life as it is there. Great photo selections.
Your photography is absolutely incredible, you seriously make me want too get back into film
Do come back! We have cookies.
EduardoPavezGoye **immediately buys film**
so relaxing 😌
You are too humble. The pictures are great. Good to see you again.
Dude the music in your videos is ALWAYS amazing! 👌🏻 (of course you photos are incredible as well 👏🏻🔥)
Loved this clip. I love that you’re showing all your photos and process. Definitely some good ones!
Great shots, but I couldn't help the overwhelming feeling of "wow look how many people there are in one place!" I wonder when that'll happen again?
Ed, this was too good 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Great tutorial for how to approach a stranger to take a picture:) Most of the time people are nice and positive:)
Lovely video. Perfect music choice and wonderful rendering from that camera. As you say, only a few months have passed but there’s a genuine sense of nostalgia. You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone. Thanks for putting it up.👍
Lovely video and pictures! The trick you pull at 6:41 always works
You maybe right about the focus by wow these are beautiful!
thank you for your awesome video. it always makes me relax watching your channel. especially at this difficult time around the world with the covid-19. thank you
I couldn't afford a Rollei so I bought a... Meopta Flexaret!!! Can't wait to test it with film! Soon in my channel...
Yes! More Jazz! Hahaha
Always love the music you pick Ed, adds a magical mood to the videos ❤️
Volvió el más mejor!! Gran trabajo Edu
Great photos! It's kind of ironic that a waist level finder + a leaf shutter is a really stealthy combo for street photography, given how cumbersome it is to compose and focus with a TLR.
Good that you’re safe and well. Nice video. It adds to nostalgia in every sense. Some great shots!
That lense is so damn sharp. Can't wait to actually have a Rollei of my own one day.
I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. It really was nice watching this "normal" from not too long ago.
Those were amazing pictures Ed. I'm just getting into film photography, and your videos are very inspiring. Thank you for putting out these great videos!
Great video, Eduardo. In addition to your usual great photos, I really liked the music. Cheers.
Que bueno que regresaste y que buen vídeo! Tus habilidades jedi son la neta. Saludos

I've actually been really enjoying Ektar 100 in 120 recently. Bit of a sleeper film a fairly cheap compared to Portra and Pro400H in the UK.
street photogarphy with an Rolleiflex is tough and that is why Vivian Maier is so great.well done bro.

Really enjoyed this episode. Ah, you captured the NYC pre-quarantine vibe wonderfully. ✌🏾
First time watching your videos and i thought your commentary (subtitles) throughout was super funny lmao! The crouching tiger comment made me smile
Thank you for this! Welcome back!! Missed you!
every eduardo video is rejuvenation for my soul
Fantastic images, such a unique look that only film can capture 👍
Can't believe Joe Greer wasn't at the arch area shooting. Woulda been a cool film bros moment.
that first skate shot turned out really nice. but how did you not take a photo of the dude sitting on front of all that steam coming out...? take care.
Digging the jazzy sounds
Love seeing u again! The pics are beaut. Crouching tiger - love it!!!
Very nice photos. Very nice music as well. Thanks from AU.
I miss NYC 😢 Thanks for sharing some recent "normal" moments with us via film!
there's something seriously funny about turning around and seeing somebody photographing you with a TLR at their waist
I liked your funny comments "crouching tiger" :) great work with the skateboarders and I really like all the shots in the sunny park
Sometimes I get slightly blurred images even using the tripod with my TLRs, so...I find the results proposed absolutely valid!

That's not going to happen. Stay at home, please.

I miss my city and it's people. It's just not natural to be so removed to one another. Thanks for the time warp!
Nice video man! I bought one on ebay yesterday. Im so excited to use it..
God, I missed walking with you Edu!
Missin home, really can't imagine it like that anymore. Wanna see more Ed skate pics! WOW
The kids in the bubbles? The guy sitting on the grate with steam pouring out? Why not those subjects as pics?
Ahhh the good old days
Vamos ahi amigo!!
Good to be back! Keep good work.
Second and third photo, loved.

Eduardo que increibles Las fotos. Me gusta Las dos fotos: lá senhora negra y Jimi Hendrix viejo. Saludos desde Brasil
I was sold on the first image, the are beautiful.
Some really nice shots mate even despite the soft focus

This is so good I’m glad this is recommended at 4am(Thailand)
nice to see another shoot film episode... last week I missed out on the same Rolleiflex for £180 on eBay I was going to bid but it didn't have case but was working I wish I just bought it now 😕😊
The Skin Tones are on Point
The pictures where you asked for permissions are so much better.
The photos look awesome

I like the colors, I think awesome
The colors are really nice. Cool vid!
Wow. Look at the colors and the dynamic range. Wow.
Hey ed, do you ever plan to put vlog style videos about your phd process? I'd love to watch such content :)
The pictures look very smooth, almost like a paint, or when you go crazy on noise reduction in Lightroom. Is that a characteristic of the film?
it is because they are out of focus (he mentioned it at the beginning) therefore they look very soft. but I like them nonetheless
It could be just the combination of slow film and mediumformat that to you looks very smooth.
Lovely to see how it was.
Just scanned 24 frames for Ektar with a Rolleicord. Vuescan cant handle the scans. I have to increase the boarders into the blacks to be able to get a decent color....
try Negative lab Pro, changed my life...

Probably a crazy question f stop first shot?
hi, just wondering why did you not Took a photo at 4:48 ( blowing steam on the man). nwei, nice vid.
I'll translate the comment he made me about this: He's a homeless who's there every day. I left him on the video precisely because although is powerful, it is not necessary to photograph him or try to make "art" out of the misery of others.
Lovely shot!! thanks for sharing
'crouching tiger' here I come!
Those two girls watching the guy with the chalk could have been a great potential photo!
Hey Ed! Feeling so good to watch your shoot film episode. Wanna buy your zine? Is it available to purchase?
It is not coronavirus haircut but coronavirus hair situation 😂
0:05 you and me Eduardo, you and me. Each morning I wake up I have no time to mess around with trying to comb my hair. I just put on my hoodie when I go out for a walk with the dog. Barber shops actually opened this week but I still prefer not to go.

Great photos. Glad you got a good day in before this thing hit.
Perfect episode. I Love It!
Great work
Very nice video presentation of this wonderful camera. But I've never understood why so many North Americans say "Rolleeeeflex" instead of the original German pronunciation, which is "Rollei" as in "Roll-eye."
Oh, I'm envy , my lab is closed with my film in it and I can't see my pictures (
Very cool! Thank you for a video)

Ignore my comment, just found your review on it
Where do you get your film developed?
