Loving the opal info, Sophia! You make learning about gemstones so fun. You're a brilliant beautiful woman.
The opening credits where stupid falls in that trench full of water cracks me up every time. I need to record the next episode so I’ve always got it to hand when I need a belly laugh 🤡😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is such an intricate and colorful opal. Pretty piece. I still don’t understand how they can tell what’s inside of a rock by just looking at the outside. Amazing
That little “chip” of opal near the end of the show looked really amazing….whitish stone with reflective colors👍🙂
They might of not known so cut it in half, and prob blown away, lol
The weight of a boulder is a small tell/give away....... pure ironstone boulder has a different weight than ironstone and opal mix.... but, there's no garantee, they still have to cut it anyway, to determine the quality/price.....
0:52 why did they put a Sawzall in her hand??? 🤣🤦♂️
You're so fortunate to find such awesome gems...I'm Green (with flecks of Red) with envy !
Holy shit! $1,000,000 in gold. Yikes my guy, I woulda taken that. Would be worth atleast 2 by now.
Cool stuff!
Why house on stilts ? No woodworm in Aus ?
If you stop using a jack hammer, and dig Opal like a Geologist. You get bigger specimens. Just facts.
Geologists cant find opal, FACT, you have clearly never spent anytime on opal fields where geologists swagger in, then toddle off with their tail between their legs years later.
Sophia is a total babe
But stupid
@@carl_marks1626 What's your problem?

Imagine how much they could make if they didn't stop every 3 seconds to talk about "color". Just put the damn rocks in a bag and mine some more.
Pump the water out 🤷♂️
