That's an amazing hike! Used to hike it often as I lived off Ironwood for many years. Now I live in PA so it is great to see it in this video. Plus, I'm old so I couldn't hike up it nowadays with that elevation gain (3,000 ft if I remember correctly).
@@TimCollinsADV A quick look at the comments, and I noticed you have responded to all. A very good sign. All the best on this channel. We are pulling for you.
Beautiful hike, Tim. I'm always cautious about rattle snakes in that terrain. Ran over one in the road in front of the house couple days ago. Enjoyed the video and HIKE SAFE OUT THERE!
Yea, that's a 15 foot scramble right near the top with a lot of exposure, turns a lot of people around. People die up there from time to time, don't feel bad.
Wow! I can’t get over how much it’s changed in the last 45 years. None of those beautifully marked and maintained trails were there when I was a kid. It was just a flat out scramble. Nor were there all those houses coming right up to the base of the Superstitions. Crazy. But it’s as beautiful as it ever was. It is a geologist’s paradise. I don’t know if Dr. Mike Sheridan is still with us, but he spent a fair amount of doing field work out there back in the day, mapping the caldera complex. I enjoyed some great field trips out there with him. The geology out there is just crazy complex.😃
That was quite a hike. Amazing view from the top. Thanks for sharing all your amazing hikes. .
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such wonderful nature, really fun to follow you on your hikes. Wishing you all the best in the future. Greetings from Sweden❤

Absolutely gorgeous. Hope to get out there someday and find myself a cache of gold .)

Keep on keeping on Tim. Chase your dreams and keep inspiring people to find joy via nature and self exploration.
Thank you, I will

It really is amazing! Glad you got to experience it too!
Glad you are doing The Superstitions this time of year. The "trail" looks a bit rough.
It was a bit rough, perfect weather though

That was an amazing view. Well worth the work to get up there.
Yes it was!
I've only made it up to Flat Iron once, but the hike up Siphon Draw is everything you said it is. Well done, Tim!
Thanks!
I grew up in AZ and never hiked the Superstitions. You made it as far as you needed to and more than I have.
Nice! Yeah I agree, not sure the view got much better than it was where I stopped.
Interesting area; is that near the Navajo Reservation ?
A little close, further south though.

I just saw a baby rattlesnake this week. I always try to watch where I step but sometimes they blend in a little too well.

I imagine that would turn a lot of people away. So close to the top.
Always exceptional content!
Your videos are uplifting!
Thanks for taking us along. I am thankful for your work!
🕶🥾👏🏻

That’s awesome! I’ll have to do more research on the geology in that area, I find that stuff interesting.
Just over from the bike channel, glad I found you again. Rock On!
Glad to have you here!
Beautiful! It's good to push your limits a bit, but also wise to recognize when enough is enough. Seems like you did both! Enjoyed this!
So true!
Good job Tim, you made it way further than I could have!
Thanks!
Top is a challenge for next time. Thank you for the great video.
That’s true, and thank you
I had a horrible fear of heights, and then i joined a climbing gym to face them and now its very minimal. keep working at it.
That’s good to hear, maybe I need to join a climbing gym.
What a beautiful place. I have always wanted to visit there. So many interesting stories about those mountains.
It really is! It's totally worth checking out if you are in the area.
Do you have any tips for adventure riding and camping during hunting seasons?
I’ve done it a lot, it’s easier on the bike because they are more likely to hear you. Around camp I would suggest wearing bright colors.
Way to give it the good try Tim!
Thanks!
