@@seanlambert-knight4735 when you are driving, if you think you have time for a pass or anything, just wait a little longer. if you are not sure, it's not worth the risk. if your friends make fun of you for being an inexperienced driver, let them and ignore them. it is perfectly normal and you don't have to prove them anything. that's when mistakes happen. as for the winter, drive slow, no sudden moves, get good tires and learn, really learn how to use your engine break, and always brake test the road when possible, at low speed. i do this everyday on my first drive(in the winter). I hope this gives you a little idea of things to consider.
One thing I like to do, is find a big empty parking lot that hasn't been cleared, and practice making turns and breaking at different speeds, to see how the car reacts. I even try to get the car to lose some traction to practice gaining control in a slide. Getting comfortable with how your car reacts in these situations will allow you to stay calm if it happens to while in the road

Chris has been practicing drifts on very bad suspension and bushings.... His skill truly shines with the new setup. Next level of drift practice: Put a cup of water in the cupholder, avoid spilling any water
First let me say that I really like your videos. I found you originally when looking for tips on soldering wires. You not only helped me get that job done perfectly BUT you also included a bonus tip of putting dielectric grease on the solder joint, pulling the shrink tubing on, heating it from the center and watching the grease come squeezing out the ends..how satisfying!! And perfect!! And I like perfect. That being said...written? Anyhow..the springs control the car's ride height and suspension travel. And the shocks control the springs. You wrote that control arms and bushings have something to do with bouncy suspension, a bouncy ride. Well..control arms are fastened to the chassis using bushings. If they're worn then the car's handling will suffer and also, it shouldn't pass inspection. But worn bushings will not cause the suspension to move up and down. Up and down movement is controlled by the shocks, compression damping is down, rebound damping is up...they control it whether or not the car has worn bushings! If you've got a bouncy car, get new shocks!! A friend of mine has a badass '67 Camaro. As a little trick you scare all the newcomers away every crew years, he'll remove his front shocks. He'll get to the line, launch it a little, hit the brakes so the front suspension compresses, then let off the brakes and punch the throttle again and boom, he's seeing the sky! Wheelies in a big American muscle car! Edit: You got me! I should've watched the entire video before making a comment like this..oops, sorry! I still truly don't understand how that bushing slop causes bounce. I don't understand how anything but shocks even could possibly control up and down motion. But I'm not a scientist..so I'm not gonna worry!

First, I just wanted to say thank you for your video series on car repair. It's been a godsend to me and the fact that you walk us through the steps one by one and not assume that your viewer already knew to do this step and jump to that step and not make the viewer feel like you're 'dumbing it down' for them. However, the vehicle that I work on is a Chrysler Cirrus and I don't know about your other viewer's vehicles but my vehicle's engine compartment is tighter than tight ought to be and I would love to see a video showing any tips or tricks that you have up your sleeve for those hard to access areas of engine compartments. Right now, I'm replacing the valve cover gaskets and of course, the rear valve cover is giving me a hell of a time. There are hoses, wires, etc and it would be great to know what can be temporarily disconnected, if disconnected what sort of clamp or plug can used safely to limit loss of liquid within those lines, how to remove those bolts in the crazy places where you can only get access with a single finger, etc. Now, if you made a detailed video like that, THAT would be an incredible tool for not only me but for a great deal many other subscribers of yours. Keep up the great work.

Chris has been practicing drifts on very bad suspension and bushings....
His skill truly shines with the new setup.
Next level of drift practice:
Put a cup of water in the cupholder, avoid spilling any water
"Shake it real guuuuud!"
You just made my day :)
Who watches this even though they aren't going to do it
Probably 97%.
I watch these videos just because he does such a fantastic job of describing what each part of a car does.
Ahahah yea i don't even have a car but these vids are really entertaining to watch
I don't even change my own oil
Hey whaddya know im part of the 3%. Cool
i'm not even 20 yet and dont have a super stable job, so i cant get the money to do this, but oh well i can do it eventually once i have the money.
He came back when we needed him YES
Random dude on the interstate: Why is that guy wearing a helmet in his ca- Oh. *waves* Hi Chris!
Some people are taking this mask thing TOOOOO seriously. But it looks a LOT cooler!

But I understand its hard to keep track of which videos are out
First, I just wanted to say thank you for your video series on car repair.
