Which, if found, should be counter prosecuted to the full extent of the law. They don't quite work the same here, especially not when they end up paying full costs for bringing them, losing them, then get hit with vexatious litigation proceedings and have to pay for those two. The tax payer may suffer in the short term but reforming the laws for personal liability when an independent community forum doesn't support the suit before it's brought should help that. The more often they get hit back the clearer it becomes, and some desperately needed improvements to the legal system could make nonsense suits even less feasible.

Incompetence and negligence are my experience with MV Law Defamation. I paid $4k for 7 hours effort they didn’t complete and I had to chase them up. The resulting ‘concerns notice’ was apparently so amateurish, it was effortlessly defeated by the Department of Defence lawyers. At least I didn’t throw good money after bad - after chewing through their fee, they then spent the same again and another four months demanding I pay them for exceeding their fee by $312.40 (“only” 30 minutes of their time!). Only the threat of them embarrassing themselves in the small claims tribunal stopped the harassment and they didn’t get a penny more. Another expensive life lesson - never look back :)
