25:19 Kobe: I knew I wasn't going to be stopped because at the age of 18 THIS was my LIFE right so you can't possibly become better than me because YOU'RE NOT spending the time on it like I do even if you WANT to spend time on it you CAN'T because you have so many things you have other responsibilities that are taking you away from it so I already WON!!!!!
EVERYONE SPEAKS ON MJ. ANYTHING FROM HIM BEING THE GOAT TO WHAT HE DID FOR THE GAME. BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT FOR ME WITH THIS DUDE. I DID THE MJ THING GROWING UP AS A TEENAGER. BUT IT WASN'T TILL I SAW THIS CAT ON THE MCDONALD'S ALL AMERICAN, AND MAGIC'S ROUNDBALL CLASSIC, THAT I KNEW HE WAS "THAT DUDE".
@@Dr.Kajkovski lots of things as I rewatch it at different points in my life but initially " creating the black mamba" scene the first time I watched it. it's ok not to be liked, it's ok to feel negative emotions like doubt and anger , being completely fearless of failures, and sometimes walking the right path means you have to walk alone
I can't describe the lows and the high moments when I watched this over and over just to get my mind right for what was about to come good or bad. Kobe is a fuckin legend for doing an upclose and personal documentary with him narrating what he was going through on the inside during those moments that's dope for real

KOBE NEEDED THAT CONFIDENCE SPOILER IN THE VERY BEGINNING. LOOK AT HOW IT PREPARED HIM FOR LATER DOWN THE ROAD.....BEAST! IT'S A SHAME HE COULDN'T GROW OLDER, AND WATCH HIS CHILDREN GROW.
Man such deep shit still about his life and career and very much inspiring tho fo realz still to juss live the way you wanna live your life to reach your greatness no matter what juss ain't gone stop ya know and never ever say your a failure cuz as he said it's almost tho worse than death ☠ still period.
To hit the height is to have technique breakdown meaning which mean the rules have no problem the problem is u have no enough confidence to build it is to right training money is the thing can u see it as a tool a real thing are u rich or are u poor shoot it
Me and my best friend used to watch this all the time, inspired us to wake up before school in grade 7 to go to the gym and play ball, to be a coach to each other to play better, unfortunately we couldn’t run away from our environment and the streets got ahold of us, no excuse, but Kobe and basketball was our safe haven and still is, with out him, I don’t think we would be alive, rest in peace to the greatest ❤️
The amount that Kobe knew about 1980s basketball is a little overhyped........he was 7 when the Celtics won their last Finals of the 1980s, and 9 when the Lakers won their last Finals of the 80s.......if he watched Magic, we're talking early 90s Magic most probably.
Lol his dad was a professional basketball player in the NBA until 1983 and played internationally until kobe was 13, growing up its all he knew... he was born in 78, he wouldve been 9 years old for the celtics/lakers finals in 87 and 10 for their win against the pistons the year later... thats prime time memory making territory for a kid...
@@-_-Code-_- he was born in November 78, so 8 for the 87 finals and 9 for the last Lakers Final win, like I said..........he didn't know crap about 80s basketball, but the Jon Battle story sounded more believable. Battle played into the mid 90s. Goo goo ga ga, Lawee Bird and Magic goo goo ga ga.
KOBE BRYANT

The mindset of Kobe was truly unhuman....
Kobe's epic revenge tour after the '08 loss is fucking legendary. We miss you, Mamba 👏🏾
My idol forever 💜💛🐍
I always thought of Bryant as a successful basketball player I never knew he had this depth of wisdom and understanding about basketball and life.
The way the last thing he says is “death”. Rip Kobe

Yessir it's a great mind relaxer
I kinda knew he was gonna get injured at some point, because of how many minutes he was playing and especially at his age
I HATED THAT HIS ACHILLES TORE ON HIM THAT YEAR. HE STANDS FOR STRENGTH AND HE WAS A BEAST.

i miss him, as a player & as a human being 😪
If the coach played him since the beginning and if he didn't tear his Achilles, kobe would've passed Kareem for most points
