Glad it helped! ,your idea could be done but the only downside I can think of is the sander creating long logs and to over come this you would spend extra time chopping trees into smaller bits before unloading into your drop off otherwise you could build it in a straight line. There are many options to try.
I do not think they will work in that way by type(as in all ores or all stone) it would be great if they could. only way you could do that is by setting each one and stack them over each other in the same spot but then you would have issues if you were to run wires to turn them on or off.

I have a question, how can I set the filter to be by type and not by object
And another question, is there a way to plant and get lots of flowers or trees so you don't have to travel
