Because these ancient cities are the best plan and built with excellent architecture with finner details in that era. Because Sri Lanka is a small island nation international media hardly make these cities known to public.

We did try Kottu in Anuradhapura! Was the spiciest dish we tasted there 🤣 but super yummy.

Hey, we paid 5500 rupees for one day. The tuk-tuk drove us back and forth to Polonnaruwa, and also around inside the ruins. Keep in mind this was in 2022 and prices might have gone up since then. Are you planning to go?
