I so want to go to the Philippines one day. I went to Japan for the first time in 2018 and my grandma Helen told me about where our family was from…and while I enjoyed it, I didn’t feel at home. My grandma Dolly, who’s Ilokano, had always raved about the food in the Philippines ‘cause I love dinuguan, fried pusit in vinegar, kare kare, sinigang, belut, etc. So I think I would really feel at home there.
Not to mention I don’t exactly look like the people in Japan…but I definitely look very Filipino ‘cause people are always coming up to me and speaking to me in Tagalog. Even when I was 7, the teacher assigned me to do Filipino stick dancing, and my grandma Dolly was so proud!
The thing is, I don’t have any Filipino blood…at least my parents say I’m full Japanese. I think someone had some side hustle going on. 😜 Anyway, watching this beautiful video just makes me want to go even more! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
You should visit Philippines and check out the beaches in Coron and you'll be in awe of how majestic Philippines is!

Her island is home to 2 mountains that are over 13,500 ft above sea level, and the higher of the two (13,803 ft) has snowstorms every winter…which will seem bizarre when you realize that I’m describing the Hawaiian islands, where it’s 80°F (26°C) on Christmas Day here in Honolulu! While that 13,803 ft mountain, called Mauna Kea, is that height above sea level, when measuring it from its base on the ocean floor all the way to its apex above the clouds, it measures a staggering 33,500 ft…making it over 4,000 ft taller than Mount Everest.
