3:41 thru 3:43 Me getting donked by mother nature. 😂 I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Will is the best! I hope he's doing well. I don't know how I found myself here in this clip! I'm actually wearing the black longsleeve underarmor right now from that trip as I'm typing this. It was my first time going ever, and I'm still wanting to go again one day! I think when I had went, it was the first week of July 2015. Our group was paired up with Will and my ex's entire family was on the boat too. We were crossing over Double Suck, and I'm positioned center and left, and you can see my hand sticking up out of the water on the left side of the raft! I was actually pinned under that raft at Double Suck. Somehow I was able to remain calm and hold my breath as I felt my way from under, and I was very relieved once I felt I was getting unwedged. Once I was free, I crossed my arms and legs, and it felt like an eternity to surface. I was thinking, "how long will it take me to float up with this life vest?" I thought of my family and my dog, Zelda, and I saw some purple streaks of light--when suddenly my face felt air, my face broke the surface and I took a huge big breath in. I was still in that arms crossed position, and I'm calmly floating until I hear "GRAB THE ROPE!!!!!" a few times. I realize i can stand in the still part, and there must have been 20 ropes aimed at me. Before and after this trip, I've been lifeguarding on post when the special forces combat divers would train on my shift. I think it was no accident I was able to observe their amazing calmness and long breath holds. I had been practicing their technique while I would watch them, and I believe that had ultimately saved my life. Stay safe always, my river friend ✨️🙏🪶 Erica
Superb. For any raft guide who has really ever "been there". 25 years summed up in 22 mins for me ....the life, the carnage, the sweet nightmare and the terrible moment. Hilariously choreographed too! Keep it up boys look forward to 2016.
What drop is at 18:34 in the video. I am a pretty inexperienced kayaker, but that looks super fun. For some reason I think it's the Upper Gauley somewhere in west virginia, but I don't do enough paddling to know, reminds me of a rafting video i seen on vhs, Great video, it's getting me inspired to do more paddling. The most memorable moments I've had were on the lower yough in ohiopyle. I canoed it with my dad when i was like 10ish then kayaked part of it at age 14. Kayaked east fork of the obey, somewhere in Tennessee. The ocoee always seemed super intimidating, but a childhood friend lives in chatanooga so it will be super accessible, not sure how often they drain the dam, but the Ocoee is on my bucket list of things to do in my life. Awesome video to the people that edited it, and were on the water. I'm trying not to use curse words, but that was fucking inspiring. Stay safe out that, and I will conquer the Might Ocoee river, I think it might be my destiny.
This video brought back so many memories of whitewater kayaking in my youth. Insane but never felt more alive. There is NOTHING like it. GREAT Videos and music to accompany it. Well Done My Man!
Great video with an awesome soundtrack! I watch whitewater videos all the time but keep coming back to this one, it is definitely my favorite. Please make more like this!
This has got to be one of the coolest videos on UA-cam !!! LOL !! the timing with the music is AWESOME ... some one should buy the footage !! sell it to or on iStock Video !!
Thanks for all the kind words. I don't really know anything about iStock Video, but if you know of anyone looking to buy some clips like this, send them this way.
I've rafted the Ocoee a few times, the guide will flip the boat if want him to. We always flip it if first timers are on board. On my girlfriends first trip, I conspired with the guide and when he rocked the boat over, I stayed in but as she went in, she reached back and grabbed my arm, nearly tore the skin off she was holding on so tight. She didn't appreciate when i pushed her off me but it hurt.
omg I was looking into doing whitewater rafting but after this video I'm too scare are all like this ? it looks like some ppl fall off and get stuck under the raft I would panic and when they fall off I cant seem to see when they come back up yikes !!
+windwaterstone Miraculously, both of the girls in the raft were fine. No real injuries to speak of. They got back in the boat like it was no big deal.
Gnarnivors rock! I'm moving from California to Chattanooga. I've been guiding for years. I gotta hookup with you guys. What's the best way to reach you guy?
+Clay This clip is from the Tallulah River. The rapid is called Oceana. We have some other videos of this rapid on our channel, so feel free to check them out. It's an absolutely incredible rapid.
I'm not sure if you're asking how often one flips on the Ocoee River (what you're chances are of flipping) or how often the guides in this video flip. If it's the former, your chances of flipping are very low, especially if you tell your guide you definitely want to stay in the boat. If it's the latter, the guides in this video like to flip, and if we are rafting on our own, we flip pretty often.
No, it's very rare to drown on the Ocoee. Most of the drownings have come from days when there was high water, which is quite rare. All of the other rivers are non-commercial trips with experienced guides.
I'm glad I kayaking I at least have the chance to flip back over bit way more scary because if you fuck up bad you can easily die or if you wait to long to flip and stay in you drown
Rafts getting plunged, whipped and blasted from one side of the river to the other. That is exactly what such plump boats deserve. And yet, the river still does not provide for these boats what they really deserve. That's where we come on. Just read about what we once did to a Puma: drive.google.com/file/d/0B6NvzUZVlbePbGUwQThGUHZzckE/view?usp=sharing
Some og these commercial rafts look seriously overloaded. Excellent vid by the way
Oh yeah, there are some definite oversize loads on here. And thanks.

Sweet song choices!
Oh...and the rafting was ok too. hehe
Kidding! It was fantastic...great editing too.
Appreciate it. It was my first time editing a video, so that is really awesome to hear.
You're very welcome!
Great video with an awesome soundtrack! I watch whitewater videos all the time but keep coming back to this one, it is definitely my favorite. Please make more like this!
Hell yeah man great video! I miss the Gauley so damn bad ughh!

Head first!?!? Are you kidding me?

Sweet job editing. Thanks for putting this out there!!!
Just went whitewater rafting, it’s fun and my favorite was broken nose or something like that. Very fun!
Damn, that was some good carnage! Glad that I DIDN'T see this BEFORE I went white water rafting! Lol!
Junkman2000 lol I went to the one in poconos .. thank god it wasn't like this
My most favorite rafting video period
Thanks! It's probably our favorite too.
That is the best .....I would love to do that next season on the French Broad.
I guided for 3 summers out here in Oregon... this big water! That first section was especially dangerous. Good ol tube suckin fun :)
Thanks for the laughs guys! great video. makes me wanna come check out the outfit. Peace!
oh man... this was an awesome vid !!! i want... go to there !
Yup that was great good work boys. Thanks for posting the busted ankle clip
Glad you guys like the video! Please feel free to SHARE it and SUBSCRIBE to our channel!
Apparently, Ocoee Rafting's motto is 'Swim the Rapids.'
That's just the duckies. The actual rafts are a lot harder to flip. But a lot less fun. The smaller the raft the bigger the waves seem.
you guys are just amazing...
I've rafted the Ocoee a few times, the guide will flip the boat if want him to. We always flip it if first timers are on board. LOVE this carnage reel!!
18:50 L8r dudes..I'm out. Good luck with that.
Great soundtrack and editing!!
Do you guys get tipped based on the number of times you dump your clients into near death perilous raging white water?
The Ocoee River is actually one of the safest rafting rivers for the quality of rapids we have. But yes, when you flip, the tips do tend to increase.
very nice compilation wallace!
At 1:50 I thought.. TOAST, but you made it! more dangerous to kayak or raft?
awesome vid! planning a trip and looking for some ideas.. what was your favorite river to raft down?!
Of all the rivers on this video, the Gauley River in West Virginia is definitely my favorite. We try to go every year, and it never disappoints.
I'll take your word for it since you're the pro. thanks!
who sings the song at the 12:10 mark?
The song is 99 Problems by Hugo.
makes me want to come out for a season. is it tough to get on a company out there? I I'm a class IV guide in Co.
+all seeing No, its not hard. There are over 20 different companies on the Ocoee, so you would definitely be able to find work with one of them.
Awesome video, and editing. But the audio track mutes all natural sound :(
Where is that @3:59??
+Chris Clark Tallulah River in Georgia. The rapid is called Oceana.
omg I was looking into doing whitewater rafting but after this video I'm too scare are all like this ? it looks like some ppl fall off and get stuck under the raft I would panic and when they fall off I cant seem to see when they come back up yikes !!
Jessica Alexanndra you should definitely try it, it's a blast! These are serious class IV abd V rapids, beginners normally start with III and IV. 😁
He's going the distance. He's going for speed.
4:28 man in the front went flyin
GREAT VIDEO
how did the oceana swim feel?
+windwaterstone Miraculously, both of the girls in the raft were fine. No real injuries to speak of. They got back in the boat like it was no big deal.
this video is great
Good shit bro....loved it
Gnarnivors rock! I'm moving from California to Chattanooga. I've been guiding for years. I gotta hookup with you guys. What's the best way to reach you guy?
Absolutely. Just hit up Gnarnivores on Facebook and send us a message if you are ever around the Ocoee. It's always fun to boat with new people.
18:33. Where. Is. That.???
+Clay This clip is from the Tallulah River. The rapid is called Oceana. We have some other videos of this rapid on our channel, so feel free to check them out. It's an absolutely incredible rapid.
That's sweet. Thanks!
Gnarnivores That's sweet. Thanks!
Sick. Thanks!
It is on the Tallulah River in Georgia.
Do you have a list of the music you used?
+Chris Boudreau I just updated the description to include the music list.
Where is 2016?!
where at on the yough was it in ohiopyle PA area
Yea, it was on the upper Yough near Ohiopyle
+Gnarnivores ok I went on the lower yough
any oar boats rockin that stretch?
Not on the Ocoee. You don't need them and some spots are too narrow and technical for oar rigs.
How often do u flip
I'm not sure if you're asking how often one flips on the Ocoee River (what you're chances are of flipping) or how often the guides in this video flip. If it's the former, your chances of flipping are very low, especially if you tell your guide you definitely want to stay in the boat. If it's the latter, the guides in this video like to flip, and if we are rafting on our own, we flip pretty often.
Good vidéo 👍
dont people drown all the time? i mean if you are not used to it and get in panic from the water i wouldnt rate your chances very high.
No, it's very rare to drown on the Ocoee. Most of the drownings have come from days when there was high water, which is quite rare. All of the other rivers are non-commercial trips with experienced guides.
I am now dead from holding my breath for 4.40 min
I'm glad I kayaking I at least have the chance to flip back over bit way more scary because if you fuck up bad you can easily die or if you wait to long to flip and stay in you drown
alrite as a guide, safety first. please. epic video though happy no1 died hopfully.....
No one died nor was anyone seriously injured in the making of this video. Now you can relax and enjoy the carnage
What’s wrong with people not wearing ⛑🤦🏻♂️, I’m assuming no one died and no animals wore hurt during this filming ?🤓
This is a joke right
Thought I was going to die when I went lol never again
I went today and fell in. Thought I was going to die. Never ever ever again.
Fucking Sick Job and Lifestyle
+Chris 007 Thanks, we think so too.
lmao xD oh god i can't wait so scared but fuck seems fun ! (i can't swim so ima be praying i don't die)
17 blind people clicked the wrong button
Lovely.
This is what the people want. Raft beaterings. Thank you.

But where's the fun in that?
Rafting is amazing for me
this video rock
