Yea he was lmao. He won the first competition and first xgames as a young teen... him, Deegan, hart, Cinqmars, etc. You guys obviously weren't around at the time... Travis was born is the 80's, freestyle wasn't around until the late 90's. Freeriding and freestyle aren't the same thing.... Travis invented the cliff hanger, one of the first tricks when freestyle competitions started. Him and Metzger were the first two guys doing flips consistently, Mike the first landed in competition... Caleb Wyatt the first flip to dirt ever, not many people even know that. Which came about before Hart invented the foam pit for a motocross bike.
Amazing how the sport has progressed !!! Sheehan with the 1st 3ple back flip ever and now 2 back to back done in competition!! I’m excited to see where it goes from here. 3ple variations?? That be insane!! But there’s nowhere to go but forward! Congrats to all the action sports heroes in the competition! Hope one day I get the chance to see it live, that be a dream come true!!!🎉
Dude I remember when a backflip on a motorcycle just seemed impossible... and I'm not that old... Now I've got mates with kids barely in high school who can flip their 250s. Seriously, fourteen year olds nailing flips in their back paddock like it's an entry level trick. It never ceases to amaze me how far it's come.
Yeah, I'll be a fan of action sports until I die. SO much positivity, encouragement, and camaraderie between "competitors", when sports where people throw a ball around leads to fans whipping batteries at people and getting in fights over which jersey you wear. Plus launching yourself into the air to do a triple backflip on a dirtbike is literally infinitely cooler than throwing a ball that someone catches while other people try to stop them from catching it.
I watched both live and both were equally terrifying. I was pretty young like, 12 or 13 when trav did his and even then I couldn’t believe it. But this was a different level & yeah, the air bag was kinda “lame” but I was just hoping no one landed on their neck. There were multiple times I didn’t even wanna watch. But I get what you’re saying. I woulda love to see tp land the tp7 on the air bag back in the day too.
Bink may have won the comp but Archer will always be the FIRST to land the triple backflip. Both are absolutely AMAZING. Everyone was SO RAD. Congratulations to all the riders 👍👍 Way to go BIG, THANK YOU ALL
@@YFZriderdude15 Yes, let me rephrase. He was the first to land a triple in competition. But yes you are absolutely correct, I haven't forgotten I just didn't articulate correctly. Have a good one buddy 🤘🤘

I rarely watch these games anymore, but I was on my feet at home yelling thru both triples. Amazing to see the riders progression as well as the sports/Nitro games progression. Well done. So whose gonna try to land a quad flip?
What a HUGE HEART Jayden has. The guy has balls of titanium, what an unbelievable competitor such talent I wish you would have landed it you crazy S.O.B. But you live to fight another day. 🤘AWESOME JOB JADEN 🤘
Its insane knowing how much has changed since i was a kid. I got into fmx in 98. The xhit theyre doing is beyond anything we thought possible. I focused more on skateboarding and was pretty decent. Only had a local sponser but still was awesome. This was warly 2000s. Been with this skateshop since 2001. Still ride for them. But im old and only skate small stuff and transition now. Easier on the knees. But the stuff people are doing is incredible
It doesn't even feel right or real watching competitions like this, with so much talent being displayed in front of a stadium that is damn near empty. Events like this should be in front of a packed crowd that is enthusiastic and excited about every transition. What a shame.
Future of FMX. I'm curious if it hits a wall limit of physics ... or progress like the past. Maybe tecknology and lighter electric bikes and complex algorithms and data recording and programmable accelerometer, gyro, altitude sensors aiding the throttle and brake control to reproduce exact results or live telemetry possition correcting or warnings etc. Makes my palms sweat just watching these modern day gladiators.
The kid in me that watched the x games in the 90s and every year since, is thinking that these FMX tricks would be even more impressive if they were landing to dirt. But I completely get why the landing ramps are the way they are now. I'm not trying to see someone become paralyzed or die for a trick.
I kept watching South's trick... I think he would have got it had the handlebars had about a 2" to 3" increase in height to allow his legs to go through. (like a mini ape hanger style but with the regular handgrip positions and the regular positioned mount to the steering yoke.)
Very, very impressive competition !!!!!!! Triple back flip, amazing!!!! Why did Harry Bink cut his radiator off knowing over heating issues? Archer awesome also! Thankyou
@@bensblues seems like that little of weight shouldn't really matter. Location being non centralized could play into it I guess. Was impressed of the upper body strength of those guys. Must take a lot of strength to keep rotations going and maintain alignment.
@@rickrossi4468 Every little bit of weight adds up. He's probably running titanium bolts, pegs, springs... It's not just the weight of the radiator, either. He's also losing the weight from coolant and hoses.
