I know right. They casted a final drive that houses a reduction set of gears. They dont even show the complete process of manufacturing of this housing. Im so dissapointed.
This video is a little deceptive. The replacement part that was installed on the tractor is not the one that was cast in the foundry. It's like they spliced two entirely unrelated videos together. I am willing to bet that the part that was installed on the machine is actually a genuine part that came from the manufacturer and not some part they went and manufactured on the fly.
Typical of these videos. Deceiving and highly edited. Like how every one is sped up to look like they are working fast. Yet they have everyone fooled about how great they are. 90% of what they do is hack shit! I don't care what limitations they have.

I think that last quite a while specially that brand new axle housing along with the new shaft and all new bearings I'm glad no one got hurt especially having to work in traffic well done
The left-hand wheel was at a jauny angle, too. It seemed to fix itself before the tests drive ! A lot of milling of another random trumpet housing was included in the video?
There is no suspension, so with a broken rear axle, it will lift up the opposite corner. Just like at the end of the video when they overload the rear, the front lifts off the ground.
@@Happyfacehotwheels If you look more closely at the beginning the the left hand rear wheel was at an angle to the rear axle, it looks like the wheel itself was bent.

I just watched the factory assembling this MF385 model and I'm not surprised they break (so easy)! I'm sure the foundries are not on standby to cast them. Plus, the housing they're molding is not the one that broke. And this i've been seeing more and more on these videos. Yesterday, they showed a rounded blade installed, but they were molding a square unit...why not just mold the part your replacing, more continuity if you did...with their chemistry control, every part is a different composition...and datum points, do they have any, or just machine and hope for the best?
Son dos cajoneras de distintos tractores Massey y Ferguson tiene reductora planetaria en la punta de eje o palier y la que maquinaria es con reductor a engranaje recto son dos cosas totalmente distintas

Hollywood's been doing it right along & we accept it. The stuntman is not the star; the pristine vehicle is not the car that gets trashed. Mind you, they should have edited the video a bit closer. The sand casting scene, though very instructive, was of a part entirely different than the one installed on the tractor.
That tractor will break again, that final drive casting is not meant to have so much weight on it constantly. If your tractor has issues keeping the front wheels on the ground then it's over loaded in the back, too bad they don't have a large dolly axle for the front of the trailer so the weight will be on it and not the tractor. I guess over there they don't have any other options.
Every tractor has max load on rear axle that it will hold. You put on more and something will break. I wonder if they know that. Which is it more profitable: to overload heavy machinery all the time and wait for something to break? Or to work within weight limits for long years without major failure? Yes, they can reinforce frames or add more leafsprings but then there are things that can't be reinforced like bearings, shafts or axles as a whole. I guess different country, different people, different technical approach.
the replaced part is totaly diferent than the part they cast. The part and the axel are new and they just replace them in the road. 😉😉
I know right. They casted a final drive that houses a reduction set of gears. They dont even show the complete process of manufacturing of this housing. Im so dissapointed.
It would bother me more that they have molds to cast the tractor parts. How many rear end housings do they break?
Its a Massey that is made in India. They just got a new one from the dealer and bolted it in.
Between all the welding they do in the lathes and dragging heavy cast parts on the ways its no wonder those lathes are so beat
It looked used to me.
with such a trailer the tractor will break down again...

They have no other tractors for working
@@h.n.5884 you understand that the problem is in the 4-wheel trailer, it is necessary that there is no load on the tractor!

Even they realise it's pointless fitting the wrong part they cast, so they fitted a correct genuine one
I especially like the way he hammered the axle shaft into place the last couple inches
Notice how carefully the scrap ìs graded to produce the finest quality casting.
It would be interesting to know what that casting was for though...

Great ad for Indian made Massey (Millat) Tractors.
If something is used in india. All the strength values should be doubled. It probably broke the inside shaft first then dropped and broke the casting
Pakistan Not Indian
As a Indian we use original material not the casted one
You get some good jobs you lads aye. Love the vids you do.
Dump all the gear oil all over the road why don't you!!!!!
Well it came from under the ground. Some places it seeps to the surface, that’s how oil was discovered anyway.
Keeps heel dust down.

Whats with showing the casting of a completely different housing in between dissasembly and reassembly?
It is incredible how the mechanics/engineers restored the tractor on the highway! But is that load worth the cost?
What was it? Can't be worth much judging by how fully loaded it was.

It's always more important to get that overload than get 30-50years work out of the tractor without destroying it.

Here we go again, fresh from the repair, overloaded 3 times, ready scheduled for next repair. I really don't comprehend this mentality.. 🤔
It's very strange. You'd think they try to look after the machines they earn their living from, but they just abuse them until they break.

broke ..............nobody able to pay for their services .............. is more cost effective to fix at the roadside ......
How did they make the positive for the mold? Did they already have one? Interesting that they skipped that part.
That must be a part they make a lot of so they already had it ready to go, but the part they cast wast the one they installed in the tractor.

love it when they just put rusty old bolts back in with no anti seize or lube. like fingers on the caulk board.
If they cleaned & lubed those bolts they would be easier to remove next time. At the way they overloaded the tractor it might be quite soon.
