As a huge fan of Linkin Park in my young preteen days, their music helped me through some hard times, and even though my music taste has changed over the years and I stopped listening as religiously as I used to, I was still so devastated to hear about Chester. This beautiful arrangement you guys put together brought a few tears to my eyes hearing those songs I used to listen to every day, truly emotional and just so great. Amazing job ❤️

Linkin park was the first band that got me interested in music. I was in 3rd grade. Went along with my brother to hang out with his friend and looked through his CD’s. Found Hybrid Theory and it was game over for me. Got me through some of the toughest times of my life. When Chester passed it was an intensely personal blow, but somehow only reinforced the positive impact their music had on me. Idk why but it proved to me how close to the edge life is at every single moment and how much we need to value these precious days and the irreplaceable people in our lives. Idk if I’m saying it right.

The saddest part about mental illness, are the ones who give us no clues they are suffering. I've seen it so very often. My heart aches. So trying to help and save the one who do cry out for help is of great importance. Thank you Michael for all you do, and for sharing your talent.

I really like how you used the first verse of shadow of the day as a kind of a crescendo near the end of the video. Where in the original song it was kind of quiet. You guys just belted it out toward the end. Love it.

RiP Chester and bless you!!! I've struggled myself for over 20 years with bipolar depression so I know how hard it is every single day, I hope he has finally found peace, nobody deserves to suffer but just try to keep fighting the fight, it is worth it in the end!!!
Hearing Chester was no longer with us was one of the biggest moments in my life where I crashed and couldn't get up. All of us that grew up on Linkin Park felt more than a band and their fans, it felt like Chester was all of us, with us, hugging and telling us we are not alone.
Chester, thank you and fuck, we miss you so so much.

Wow. Just found you. I tried to follow Chester. 2017. I survived and at that time was really pissed. Today I’m glad I get to hear you sing. There is nothing like being in that dark place. I so loved his voice. I’m so sorry he didn’t get the help in time as I did.

Omg I just found this thru your tiktok account and after listening to the 30sec preview on iTunes I downloaded it instantly so I could listen to it on the way to work. My god that was amazingly brilliant and stupid as I was damn near crying on the bus 😅😅😅 all the lyrics you've chosen, they way they lead almost seamlessly into one another and how it built up towards the end of the song was so god damn beautiful.

My heart aches more than words can say for his family, band mates, fans around the world, & above all for Chester, such a BRILLIANT, but tortured soul!!!!! I want to thank you both for this, I've heard numerous tributes to Chester, but I have to say that your tribute is the BEST BY FAR that I've heard, it was AMAZING!!!!! R.I.P. wow, these kinds of video usually feel like low-efforts, but this was one incredibly journey. Really sick vocal arrangements and it's classic LP to keep the background music as long, soaring chords with melancholic voicings, just like you guys did here. I don't even mind the vocal editing. My only gripe is that the chorus of leave out all the rest if a little bit to drowned out.

I can't believe I never saw this until now. Chester was such a help to me through so many hard times in my life. When he passed it just destroyed me. I felt like I lost a family member. I cried daily for months after that and them went on to lose my mom Feb 2019 and then my gram who was a second mom in March 2020 and that just fucked me up even more. I'm 38 and have been a mess for a long time now. His songs still help me through tough times but it's harder listening to them with him gone. I really thought you guys did an awesome tribute to him. He think he would have loved it!

It's a mixture between reliving my childhood/teen years, being brought to tears by the emotion you guys put behind this beautifully made tribute, and me feeling like I'm hearing these lyrics for the first time today. So much truth and pain was hidden behind those lyrics. This will forever break my heart.

I have to listen to this multiple times a day. It's beautiful. Linking Park meant a lot to my little Goth teenage self even though I didn't fully embrace them because they were a bit too mainstream foe me at the time, I always loved Chester's voice and the parts of the songs that were his. He was what made the band worth anything.
