Ali is something else surrounded by greatness johnnie cash, john travolta, and lisa manella. And the way he introduces them when the spotlight and moment was about him.
This fight was better than I remembered. Wonderful infighting. If this bout took place today the ref would be all over them, waiting for an excuse to break them up.
Recuerdo estos grandes peleadores argentinos de las décadas de los 70 y Miguel Ángel Cuello tambien peleo con el Yaqui Lopez creo que si. Recordar es vivir.
I remember this fight..the undercard of Spinks-Ali rematch...After the beating he got from Yaqui Lopez I thought Rossmann would last 4-5 rounds...But he outworked a lackadaisical Galindez...Light-Heavyweight UPSET
I followed both of these guys careers and Mike Rossman never before or again was in that kind of shape. He hardly took a deep breath in their first fight. Galindez won the title back but as always, his weight and party animal like style did him in. Great fight by two great LH's.
A fight with Galindez would have been close; don't forget Galindez was good enough to beat first-rate guys like Eddie Mustafa Muhammad and Yaqui Lopez.

I remember watching this fight at the Sr. Enlisted Club of the the USN Submarine base in New London CT. I was astonished by Rossman's discipline and tenacity. A very Strategic fight for Rossman with the exception of his getting caught in the corner. Notice the Eight Ounce gloves both used to the Eight Ounce pillows used today. They were offensive puncher's gloves compared to the defensive cover- up gloves of today. The gloves of today make boxing boring.
Mike Reed good point, maybe. He was still a good fighter at 19 though. Fun debate, never really understood the point though. Victor faught older guys out of their prime early in for him.
A Galindez le faltó moverse más, por eso no pudo quitarse ese jab del ojo Pienso que no estaba bien preparado y por eso prefirió ahorrar movimientos. La verdad es que terminó bastante cansado.
Galindez won because he was in much better shape the second fight not because of a broken hand .this is professional boxing guy you break hands u break noses u bust ribs this isn't video games
David Smith: Marvin Johnson was my favorite Light Heavyweight during that period. Matt Franklin and Eddie Gregory, Dwight Braxton and Murray Sutherland were also great fighters in the time. I believe in that era, that was the Best representation of the Light heavyweight division.

Y que tiene que ver ?
I love the interviews with ali and spinks between rounds . This was back in the day when wide world of sports featured boxing . Howard Cossel
Rossman waa a good and tough fighter up against the best collection of lightheavyweights ever
not heavyweight , lightheavys these guys go 178 . Rossman was a good fighter . Check out Rossman vs Lopez . Mikey got his bell rung then .
gracias por compartirla!

I would like to have seen a Victor Galindez-Matthew Saad Muhammad fight.
Galindez took him lightly

Matthew Saad Muhammed would have ko'ed both Rossman and Galindez.

Galindez-Conteh would have been a good one as well.
@@DavidSmith-oh3re I don´t disagree but that´s subjective, Matthew was awesome! And Victor was an Argentian brawler/boxer an Animal!
@@louduva9849 Eddie Mustafa Muhammad was robbed against Victor Galindez

well put.
En esta pelea Victor estaba lento y cansado; pero en la segunda pelea con Mike Rossman lo revirtio como un campeon.
Galindez le presto el titulo a Rossman que no era nadie y en la segunda pelea no salio a pelear por cobarde!!! Galindez corazon!!!❤
Grande Víctor Emilio galindez
victor was clearly on his way down here.5 years earlier, vic takes rossman apart rather easily.
Mike Reed good point, maybe. He was still a good fighter at 19 though. Fun debate, never really understood the point though. Victor faught older guys out of their prime early in for him.
Cuando vivis de joda , y quieres competir a alto nivel pasa esto. En la revancha se vi al verdadero víctor un grande
Pero lo noqueo el estadounidense

Victor Galindez is a good sport. I don't think he was vicious because he honored the Star of David on his opponents trunks.
Rossman lost the title back to Galindez because of a broken hand. Then Marvin Johnson bitch slapped Victor.

And although he never became champ, Yaqui Lopez has to rate as one of the toughest light heavyweights of that time too. He beat Rossman.
@@danielshaw4038 and dont forget michael spinks was in that mix also.
