- One thing that many people anticipate at the start of every season is the new weapon kits that drop with it. Those who may not be fond of a current kit for the weapon they use in Splatoon 3 might be in for a welcome surprise when the new season starts with their dream sub and special weapons...or they might get reefslider slapped on it. So with over 100 weapons in the game now, I wanted to take a look at some of the weapon kits in Splatoon 3 and highlight what I think are some of the best and some of the worst. I use to be an English teacher and the head of English (just the one that manages most of the stuff in English) I was once just watching the first splatoon 3 teacher while my class was writing 2 essays in the period for there end of term assessments and when I saw the crab tank I accidentally shouted “OH FU-“ the worst part is was there was a group of Y6s (fifth grade) touring the school as well as visitors and they all heard💀
That’s really funny but I can’t guarantee I wouldn’t do the same in that situation 😅
So my teacher name was DR.Ghafar and after that whenever I greeted my student they said Dr.averageCODplayer honestly I laughed when they said that💀
The basic splattershot nova kit is actually a great support tool. If you play it like a support instead of a wannabe frontliner, it's a great help to the rest of your team.
It definitely can be! It's just that it's main job is just locating people and getting chip damage. Not much else. x)
As a reeflux main I was very upset when I saw that the new kit had reefslider
Reefslider is a weapon that helps me a lot and is a S trie special same with rest of the weapons this season this current season is gaining a lot of positive feedback and it's still growing

Ah yes… reefslider. At the beginning of 3, my main was the dark tetra dualies. I loved reefslider back then. Boy, how times have changed…
As a stringer main, here's my funny story with the Reeflux Deco.
I was just as mad as everyone else when I saw that kit and I'm still mad about it. But tell me why I was freaking killing it when I brought that weapon into a match for the first time. I felt like I was doing better with it than the vanilla kit. Yes, I still hate the kit, but at this point I'm gonna make this work. I will find a way.
Also I'm betting the only reason they put reefslider on reeflux is because they both have reef in the names. Ha ha so funny Nintendo
I also main the stringers and the same thing happened with me lmao. I just chalked it up to me having so much experience with the vanilla reef-lux (it was my first 5-star weapon :3). Pretty much any other kit would've been better for it but it's still fun as someone who plays casually
If you thought paintbrushes were annoying, now they turned into a tenta missile spammer.

There are a lot of weapons in this game that really need better kits. For example, I'd love to see a squiffer kit with torpedo and zipcaster. That would give squiffer a more aggressive playstyle while enabling it to be more mobile, unlike its current bubbler kit that moreso keeps it in one place at a time.

I was so happy with the new dualies, and the S-blaster. I was screaming when I saw the new paintbrush though. I sometimes wonder if Nintendo is just wanting to bring us pain or not
4:30 As a vanilla inkbrush main, I feel called out. LIKE WHY IS IT TRUE
From all my hours playing vbrush, I've noticed the only 2 times I use wail are to displace a backliner and to kill someone I already damaged lol.
I find it very funny that he was dissing express, while I'm playing express while watching, and getting a quad.
Minigame idea: Manga Mania. You must use a weapon that has been seen in the manga up to the latest entry. Specials have a limit of three uses per game (Each team member gets to use their special 3 times.) Secondary abilities are off, and subs have a varying limit Splat Bomb:15 Burst Bomb:25 Suction Bomb:13 Toxic Mist: 30 (since it won’t be doing anything REALLY useful)
Angle Shooter: Go wild with this one. It’s not like you’ll contributing to the team or anything.
Sprinkler: same as last one.
Point Sensor: 30
Auto Bomb: 15
Curling Bomb: 20
Splash Wall: Look at the Angle Shooter’s limit. That’s your limit.
Beacon:30
Of course, you can change any of these limits to your liking at any point. Hope this gets used!

In splatoon 2, my main when I was new to the game was the vanilla carbon roller. When I was able to unlock the carbon deco, I hated it and went back to the vanilla. I didn’t like the bomb rush and burst bomb. Idk why

Reeflux main here, I can say on behalf of the Reeflux community that while the deco kit was initially disappointing, a lot of us have come to love it.
The new S-Blast honestly took the kit I thought that the second Tri-Stringer was gonna get before the Inkline got revealed.
that's what I was hoping on for d-flux, but, nope, they gave it garbo instead

As someone who tried to play Nova for like a week I wholeheartedly agree with that description
you forgot about wiper deco, us wiper mains were so excited for a fun kit like fizzybomb inkstorm or burst bomb killer wail... and we got tenta missles beacon. Its good, yeah. but its not a fun weapon to play, so I just use the vanilla kit because its more fun to use.
Watch them give the third tri-stringer angle shooter and ultra stamp
I rewatched the “Inside the mind of…” videos for splatana and zipcaster, and I take everything negative back about the stamper. But the neo makes me Andy in Toy Story, at least, for now.

I didn't expect to still be stuck with 1 kit this long into the game but my nonexistent expectations somehow managed to not even be met. Seeing these um "interesting" kits certainly isn't promising when the bamboozler Mk II gets sprinkler and screen in 2026

Funny History: Before The Gold Dynamo came out i used The vanilla one and when The Gold One Came Out i Saw The sub weapon and i was Just like: Hehe time to poke chargers and splatlings and then i Saw The special and i was like: Oh that's- Okay not bad but-. and then after i got Gold dynamo i played It 24/7 non-stop and i got so used to Its kit, That when i Played Vanilla Dynamo Sometimes I Throwed a Sprinkler thinking It was a bomb and when i get The special i press ZR Instead of R because i forget that it's not super chump But well The weapon is Fun to play :)
Honestly i kinda like The reef deco… kinda do well with it as well. But yea this thing should have gotten AT LEAST angle marker, it would have have combo potential with slider, making it a bit more useful…
but Come OOOON!

I found I was disappointed with Splattershot Nova. It seemed like it was gonna be amazing. But when I played it, it wasn’t what I was hoping for. Kit was good but the weapon just wasn’t for me. To put it lightly, I was disappointed
As much as I absolutely adore brellas, (especially undercover)I won’t lie about how their Vanilla kits were garbage. I still used their Vanilla kits though because I just loved brellas that much.
I was the happiest lad when after nearly a year, the sorella brella came out- and then the new season released the sorella undercover brella which I was even more happy at-

Well well well, here is a tent main to say: the vanilla tent is really good! It plays a lot more supportively, the beakons work quite well on it, and vac, it wasn't in the best position, but with buffs, it's quite strong! It's especially good in solo clams, and generally rainmaker

5:46 Also- as a proud multi-main Individual I feel HIGHLY offended- I only use it for my Torpedo on the Dualies because Nintendo HAD to get rid of Splashdown AND DESTROY THE PERFECT CLEAR DAPPLE DUALIES KIT! Temporarily surprisingly tho- I never imagined they would bring Splashdown back- maybe the Clapples will return with triple splashdown and some other bomb- Burst BOMB MAYBE? Nintendo would probably not-
