According to the featurette, the only way to achieve a true surround sound mix for the film, was to use orchestral angles wherever they could. Orchestral angles are from microphones that were placed in the room during the recording of the soundtrack, these alternate recordings were never used until the 5.1 remix that was made in the 1990's.

I love the combination of still beautiful photographs from the movie and the original music score, but it would have great to hear the entire musical score even all of the original deleted original recordings of musical score from the movie with even more beautiful photographs from the movie!

Very enjoyable-- it's just too bad we jump from the Scarecrow's debut right to The Merry Old Land of Oz, without any of the cool themes in between such as when Dorothy and friends first see Emerald City, or the music heard when the Witch puts her poppy spell into motion (not to mention the "Optimistic Voices" melody). But I understand that you can't cram it all into one short video. :)

U can actually find all of those in the album, it has all of the in between orchestrals without the voices of the actors, the songs still have the vocals tho

That’s a section from the overture which had ‘heavenly voices’ its the MGM studio chorus

@@bigred8432 They were session singers hired whenever a score called for voices ("The MGM Studio Chorus"). Choral arranger Ken Darby did a major amount of work and supervision on the film, so the women's voices may have been his own singers. The "Ken Darby Singers" were well known, and provided most of the Munchkin voices (which were , of course, electronically altered).
