Spencer Rattler had to be tough and certainly used to pressure coming. His O line at SCar left him hanging all the time. Mizzou sacked him on third down so many times the last 2 years he probably needed to suppress PTSD. Thanks for doing these videos - I appreciate the analytical looks. @@investingoutdabluu2210 as a gamecocks fan I'm saying this with no bias at all but I honestly think he's the next Patrick Mahomes. It sucks because I'm already a Panthers fan so I don't wanna play against him 2 times a year but his decision making and work outside the pocket reminds me of Mahomes to a T
@zachstevens1099 ive been saying he reminds me of Mahommes since I saw his game film from college. When he got drafted so late in the draft I was surprised. He matured quite a bit since he was in high school. He's still got some attitude but now has a chip on his shoulder. I don't see the saints letting him go any time soon. Pretty sure he's going to take over when Carr leaves. Don't get me wrong, I love Heiner, but Rattler just has a confidence to him we haven't seen in a quarterback for the saints yet. It's too early to compare him to past quarterbacks but if he keeps it up he can be a great. I'd like to see Brees come in and coach him. I'd also like Chase to work with him. I used to wish that Chase could have started but it was when we had Brees so it would have meant Brees would have to go down so it didn't happen. Chase has a great eye for details in the game and am wondering why he hasn't put his name in the offensive coordinator or head coach pool yet.
I think he shows a lot of promise and does some things better than Carr like looking off the defenders in my opinion, but he still has things he can improve upon. If he can make the right improvements over the next year(s) under Carr, I think he could make a good starter.
@chasedanielshow why havent you applied for a coaching position yet in the NFL? You are amazing when it comes down to breaking down a game!! Im willing to bet a huge amount of money, if i had it, that you would be as successful as Dan Campbell has been in Detroit.
@@ChaseDanielShow awesome. I coach quarterbacks and offensive linemen at a high school here in Texas. Thanks Chase! I like derek carr but wonder if rattler can be a leader off the field.. he has huge upside and having a qb at low rookie pay could help a lot
On that first pass you show, you said it needs to be out in front. This is just something I noticed, but the safety was coming down, if he puts it out front then it’s a pick or the receiver gets throttled. Just my observation though
He’s smart he’s calm he can move in the pocket and he has a great arm.he just needs time to fully develop. He needed to mature and I think coach Beamer helped ,he became a leader and never complained
I've been tellng people for years that rattler is the next mahomes and I truly believe that. I can't believe he fell to the fifth round after what he did with the gamecocks having literally one receiver and no o-line. I wish the Panthers would've took him and let him and Bryce Young duke it out for the starting position
@@SoTrue144 I agree it would be best if he had a couple years to develop into a top caliber QB but at the same time I can probably name 5 starting QBs that he's better than right now
I can only imagine the comment section if someone made a video praising Carr for repeatedly throwing behind his receiver. Some of those should've been caught still for sure, but Rattler's ball placement was really bad for someone getting so much hype off this game.
One guy is a rookie, and the other guy is a 10 year vet. I would hope carr can make better throws than rattler right now. @@nickmessner700 One of the players leads receivers sometimes and can clearly learn and get better. The other is Derek Carr who 10 years in is neither getting better or leading receivers ever.
@@dblackzilla Let me explain to you why that's a terrible idea by asking you a pair of questions. If you assume the team will do badly this year, why start Rattler before he's ready? Why not instead let Carr carry the stink of the failed season and instead use the primo draft position to build a better team around Rattler?
Exactly. Even from Chase’s text ion you can tell, he’s got the reads down, just can’t make the throws perfectly yet. But I’m not worried at all, since he was the #1 recruit purely off of his arm talent. Give him a year or two and we could have a top 5 QB in the league. People that want to to rush him, want instant gratification but they’ll ruin the saints’ and rattler’s future if they rush him
@@eduardopoceros7737 you clearly didn't see him play at Oklahoma or South Carolina. This dude is legit he's the real deal. He will be a top 5 QB in a couple years
Rattler had hype coming out of highschool he was the #1 QB coming into college and was expected to be the best through college going into the NFL. So way before we even knew he would be on the saints everybody knew what he was he was so this hype definitely not coming from carr haters. That's a carr lover deflection you just did there 😂
In what way?? Haener will never become a franchise QB in today’s NFL but Rattler could/will if he sits for another year or two preferably 2 years studying behind Carr.
Come onnnn, we're letting anyone get on a podcast talk to us about their opinions. Chase Daniel's was decent but he's just as flawed as Carr and Rattler. He says at one point that Rattler's pass should've been more out in front of him. The pass that Spencer threw was the right pass for the coverage. If he puts that ball out in front of the WR anymore the ball gets picked or either deflected. Come onnnn.......Chase! Break down Carr's passes from his 1st 2 wins from last season and his 1st preseason game this season. If Chase knows what he's talking about as much as he thinks than he should have a lot of correction for this 11 year Lemon.
Best job in football. I'm 99% certain that Alex Moran from Blue Mountain State was based on Chase. Chase made bank as one of the steadiest backups in the NFL.

Some of those passes were off a little but they all looked CATCHABLE….I see why we are still trying out WR….
Catchable is key
It is, but we can all agree Rattlers ball location sometimes forces guys to make harder catches. Is that more timing based or accuracy?
not off. Qbs lead recievers away from hits sometimes. What looks like a bad ball is actually the QB not throwing a hospital ball.
