The list of good things Chaeyoung has done is way to long to consider her a 'bad person'. She made one big, ignorant mistake. Other than that, she always hated conflicts and always showed support towards minorities. She was also the member that talked jype staff into letting them perform 'born this way' by lady gaga in their twice lights tour in 2019.

People are just naturally hypocritical. Both me and ypu have this side. 1 bad thing and your whole persona is being judged. Chaeng was at fault, i wont defend her from that. Im just glad that she acknowledged her own mistakes and apologized for it. Its the bare minimum i know, but I appreciate that she didnt brush it off or hide behind JYPEs back like most idols do.

Their debut started with a concept much more similar to ITZY's with "Like-Ooh-Ah". But when "Cheer Up" blew up, JYP rode the bubblegum Pop concept like crazy. Mature TWICE began in 2019 with "Fancy" ("Breakthrough" in JP) and the rest as they say, is history. 🥰🤩The transition is simply growing up with TWICE - the girls grew up, Onces grew up, it's just natural growth 😂

their last album "Between 1 & 2" had one of the best rap parts in kpop. Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Momo absolutely slayed the rap parts for that album so that's definitely worth a listen

As for Chaeyoung "scandal" my opinion is that she likes indie punk aesthetic she bought a very polarizing shirt with said aesthetics (it was a Sex Pistol shirt). She shouldnt have done it but people make too much of a big deal for it. I really dont think she shares the ideology of the symbols in the shirt. The Q-Anon shirt she wore was in a music show so it was the stylists choice and KPOP stylists has a history of sometimes funny shirts with funny messages sometimes shirts with serious messages that shouldnt be paraded around, so for this case it was the latter but really doesnt have anything to do with her.

@@soliedaisy The eye opening thing in this issue show how people nowadays dont reflect to see the whole angles of a story but easily judge & hate because it's easier that way especially if u are already not a fan (attached to that idol) or worst want a reason to justify ur unreasonable hate to that person or gp;That symbol mean prosperity & peace for most Asian culture, it existe everywhere in their countries & majority dont know that its offensive for most western counties; same as how majority of Those westerns dont know that Hitler stole that symbol (with originally good representation) from the Asian /Buddhist culture; Those westerns go to be fans of people of totally different culture then criticize them for being different or ignorant about their culture & even go beyond to judge them & accuse them of atrocities & spread it on social media then go on with their lives! it is beyond kpop stans toxicity but more of a social problem & the use of social media made it worst;

GOT THE THRILLS is deff my fav from this album, their vocals here take me like a roller coaster.
Twice has great albums! I recommed formula of love which, if im not wrong, is currently the second best rated kpop album :D

I understand you don't like Dahyun and Chaeyoung's rap style. Unfortunately, this is at the request of producers. TWICE has a bright, pure, and cute image, so the producers wanted this style of rap. However, the actual rap style they pursued was different. In particular, Chaeyoung had a very different rap style before her debut. You can notice it by watching videos from her trainee days or SIXTEEN days. When she was a trainee, she was famous for having outstanding rap skills that were recognized by JYP trainers.
Actually, she mentioned this several times. She said she was disappointed that she didn't have a chance to rap properly. Originally, in the past, she used to do more closer to ITZY's style.
I would recommend you watch the stage of SIXTEEN or the 2016 JYPNATION rap collaboration stage. Maybe you can feel a little bit of what that feels like.

about the live vocals, twice's songs is reallllyyyy high so i think thats why they sound so tired. like that blame it on me one, its like the 10ish/15ish songs on the setlist, before that song, they sing a whole medley and a song that realllyy high

Thanks for your reaction! About Chaeyoung, I assumed you were talking about the T-shirt scandal. As far as I am concerned, she blindly wore the shirt due to it being a Sex Pistols shirt and nothing else. She learned the hard way about the symbolism on the shirt and its meaning by the toxic comments that followed. I mean, even I don't know what they teach in Korean Schools. Anyways, the girl apologized after learning this all. As far as the MAGA shirt goes, even I didn't know the meaning until she wore it LOL! (it is too depressing to follow politics these days). Hopefully, her staff got educated like her. In the end, I feel that it was an innocent mistake on her part, and she paid the price. Also, we all make mistakes or dumb decisions throughout life.

And also, that symbol is widely used in Buddhism in East Asian countries such as Korea. Traveling to these countries, as western people (though i am not; i'm filipino), they might misunderstand it's religious symbolism. Just as Chaeyoung misunderstood the symbol's reference on a sex pistols shirt. People really did make a big deal out of it, and uses it to send hate to Chae. The difference in culture and history is polarizing, and the cancel culture fuels divide, and that just makes me so sad. People nowadays are too focused on being politically right, that they miss to read between nuances in these kind of situations.

People forgot that the shirt she wore was designed by a jew as a symbol of provocation to Nz & NOT to support the party but I doubt mfs would know bcs afterall they're talking sht just for the sake of hating, out here wanna be the most educated police but dont even bother to research further themselves like how the logo was actually appropriated from a religion thats common in Korea. Mfs even made a fake story that its a limited edition shirt that's super expensive when truth is it can be found easily in Japan thrift stores & on etsy for like 5 bucks lol. She deleted the post right away after getting called out by onces first in less than 2 hours, admitted her mistake, apologized, learned & never repeat. That's enough. It's understandable to be offended & felt disappointed for the insensitivity/ ignorance if you're directly affected & that logo still gives you trauma of some sort. But to treat her cruelly like she's the one doing the crime is unacceptable. What else do people want honestly? Should she be punished like actual Nz? The issue was also covered in big news outlet in US. Yet she still receives backlash until now. People call her Nz every other day for fun, make g*re edits of her, downgrade her life etc. if y'all really look in the mirror with the way y'all act, who's really the Nz here? Meanwhile Chaeyoung actually has done many good things that's opposed to the Nz mentality. She has always wished for world peace & fights for minority.

Twice es lo mejor que me paso, literal tengo 22 años ya y sigo yendo a ellas cada vez. No solo por su calidad musical, sino por cómo transmiten su personalidad en sus canciones. No necesitas algo demasiado cachy para que te gusten. Simplemente conocer sus personalidades me hizo amarlas más. Me gustaban algunas canciones como Fancy pero cuando decidí conocerlas me enamoré 😅

Watching Twice film "Set Me Free" was so hard to see. They were filming outdoors, at night, in the middle of winter. It was raining and snowing most of the time. The poor girls were freezing and rushing to the heaters between takes. 🥺🥺

15:54 twice producers can' make rap work in their songs PERIOD!! waiting for the day they leave it to members cuz raps in basics (which chae wrote all by herself) is DELICIOUSSS, and in sweet summer day, jeongyeon written and chae wrote rap parts for is soo groovy its my fav from the album. anyways if you wanna just hear them rap and decide if you like it or not, the duo has a cover for switch to me, i love their rap there. and not liking is all fine, each to their own! ty for the reaction

Just because you do not like them does not mean the producers cant make the rap work, it just mean they are not suited to your taste. Not sure how many of the songs not written by the members had you listened, but there are definitely raps produced that are more towards the East Asians, and some for western listeners, and such. So do not tell me that you do not like all the raps by the producers? Likey, Feel Special, I Gonna Be a Star?

I'm sure some people have dropped them bc of the "change" but i think it's a much less significant amount of people compared to those who insist said "change" has finally made the group worthy of praise (either without embarrassment or at all) or constantly put down their earlier works - especially those who aren't really familiar with it and *especially* when the girls themselves still have love for it

Many people agree with your statement regarding their rap. It doesn't always suit the songs they release, but they are usually fun (mostly) and catchy.
But as sad as it is, this is based on the producer's request. If you watched sixteen you would notice BOTH Dahyun and Chaeyoung sound very different and have very different rapping styles compared to now.
The same applies to dahyuns vocals, where in sixteen she held stable high notes, now shes restricted to the softer jyp airy style which has become her most used one. Chaeyoung is quite a good rapper and expressed her disappointment in never actually rapping. (This is probably the reason why both dahyun and chaeyoung like I'm gonna be a Star aka one of the only songs where both of them get to rap properly for a bit) She wishes for a rap sub-unit and has expressed her desire to rap many many many many times. DUBCHAENG are the rappers in twice and they can write their own as well.
Let's pray that the subunit dubchaeng happens and we get their own raps!

I do like when they rap in some songs, I would say there is like 20% of songs I'm not a fan of the rap but I don't hate it - I think it's a rather good ratio ahah and again I haven't listened to their whole discography! Recently listened to Between1&2 and god, the rap there was really good!
