It's not a lot to ask is it. We have been on the receiving end of short cutters across our pitch simply because its the shortest route. We always try and pitch so that we are not in a direct line to the facilities block.
One of mine would be "control your kids". We were on a site where the pitch came with a picnic table (extra cost obviously!) and the kids would come over and climb all over it like it was a climbing frame!
Hi Bob, interesting talking about driving. I’m new to motor-homing and have a 6m Autotrail campervan which is considered to be fairly small and compact when compared to say a 7.5 m coachbuilt. But it still took me a while to get used to driving it as its seems huge compared to my 5m long Vw transporter work van. By the way love your Westie, we had one and lost him 2018. We still miss him loads now. They’re very independant and stubborn little dogs.
I have a story about somebody walking through our pitch, two or three days running a man would take a short cut across our pitch tight to our van looking in as he went by,needless to say I had words but all he did was laugh and told me to go away ( in so many words)on seeing this a passing warden also had words but again the man laughed and walked off,,later that day we were sat o outside talking to our neighbours when we heard a load bang from our van followed by a loud shout ,swearing and screaming, he had only walked around the back of the van into an open window resulting in a nasty cut to his head,he claimed i had opened the window as he walked by and reported such to the site needless to say he was removed from site and banned from their sister sites for assaulting staff...karma !!❤😂😂😂
My biggest hate is people cutting across your pitch or walking behind your van when it's backed up to a hedge. This happened to me at the Ashridge site once. I was parked next to the central path and the people in the caravan next to me kept taking a shortcut behind my caravan to get to it. It's so disrespectful.
This happened to me at Knaresborough club site last month. Several people cut right across our pitch, I asked the warden if he could help. His response was ‘we don’t want to have rules where people can or cannot walk’. This is from the club built on rules.
My top five 1) walking across your pitch with or without dogs 2) Toilet and shower cleanliness, often paper strewn on floor or worse 3) Noise be respectful of others 4) Always contribute to local economy 5) Smile and say Hello
Washing up scenario: When you use the dishwashing facility and you enter and all of the sinks bar one are full of soapsuds and bits of food which sink do you gravitate towards?. It only takes seconds to leave the sink as you would want to find it
Hi Bob & Jenny, I can’t stand people cutting across your pitch - it’s just rude! 100% agree about keeping areas clean and tidy too. There is nothing worse than going in the shower block when it’s been left in a mess. My top 5: People Cutting across pitches Letting dogs walk on your pitch and even worse if they let them do their do on your pitch Not using onsite amenities by this I mean pubs, cafe etc I always believe you should give back to the local community Not recycling waste - it only takes a second Loud noise after hours or early morning We will watch the rest now Thank you Rachel & David ❤
Last year we went to a rally in the New Forest, had a lovely quiet pitch until an enormous old Motorhome pitched up next to us followed by a knackered old van full of kids! Out came the swimming pool, hand built electric bikes which the kids proceeded to hurtle up and down the field on while dad, dressed in obligatory black tracksuit bottoms and nothing else cracked open, tinny after tinny. But the worst part was the constant whiff of weed! It was mum tending to her latest baby!!!! Needless to say we packed up, got our money back and left.
Sounds like fun, we were at clumber Park a couple years ago and by the sound of it the same family turned up their. Father necking beer after beer walking around in a village jesters hat like the village idiot.
Hi bob and Jenner Good points of view there we agree with all of them especially annoying when some one invades your pitch and personal space and don’t respect your privacy
I wish I slept as well as Poppy! All good points. Not holding up, we have often followed a very slow car and it looks like we are the ones doing the holding up!
Hi Bob and Jenny, yes we get a little annoyed when someone cuts across your pitch or people are playing music or talking loud after quiet time. Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts, xx
Detest people who walk across your pitch, Moreton was worst, and people who seem hard at hearing who like to share their stories talking to friends in their awnings. We find Adult only sites at weekends the worst for noise. Children sites less so because they are in bed and parents want others to be quiet. And lastly those people that leave on all night, the lights on flag poles, awning lights and flashing Xmas decorations around awnings. It all adds eventually to charges
The cutting across pitches is a pain. Terrible at Mablethorpe CCC recently. Never park near the dog area I learned. People literally have no respect!!!
LOL the "respect someones privacy" hit the nail on the head . I cant count the times i've been nicely parked and set up in a car park or a wild camping spot in France with acres of space and someone parks right next to me !! I can never work it out ? Actually got into the habit of turning on the big built in generator whenever i saw then coming over . That usually did the trick and they did and emergency u turn 🤣 ! thnaks for the video Bob!
Some great advice, good driving etiquette is a must when in a leisure vehicle. 😁 I’m a tad deaf, so have to be careful not to inadvertently have music or tv on too loud. 😊 Em 💜
We on a site and this morning went to shower block and not one toilet was habitable to use some people are pure scruffs we always clean up after ourselves whether it a toilet/shower or washing up area
Hi Bob and Jenny love your channel and how you present your videos, no pretence and just so down to earth. I use your channel for tips of places to go and visited Braithwaite Village Campsite last week which was highly recommended by you both. I have my own channel (only a few followers !!!) however as I have recently purchased a VW Camper I am looking at creating content on places we visit as well as food, one question I do have is how did you create your channel logo. Keep up the great work you both do.
On the basis of this, I would be entirely comfortable with with you both occupying the plot next to us. Consider it is a free voucher you can cash in at any time.
This can be a problem when a UK built unit & a Continental built unit park next to each other. It rarely ever happened when site rules insisted units were parked so the habitation door was on the left but it seems this rule has relaxed & sites now permit either?
Bob & Jenny would you say it is possible to buy a camper van for £25K. Or am I being wishful. Do you know of a great place for used campers? Thankyou in advance. Jonathan
I think you will be buying something that would be a classic or a project at that price. Maybe micro campers like Romahones. MMM magazine might be somewhere to start. I would avoid Facebook and the like. Have a look at Motorhome Man's website caravansandcampersltd.co.uk they sometimes have some bargains.
hi bob went to northwood at clayton le dale and the owner who keeps avery clean camp site says it is the mens facilties that are uually the worse .just sticking upfor the ladies.

I made a series of videos for people new to motorhomes, which might help - ua-cam.com/video/UyV-p4PZWXE/v-deo.htmlsi=uA22weS9P7QM6kIv
Nightmare drive to Düsseldorf was absolutely hilarious bob and jenny 😂😂😂
Thank you

Yes, so annoying!
Or letting dogs do their business
Couldn’t agree more. Most of my experience is that these people walk through others pitches to save like three seconds!

Our old Talbot van was amazing, the roads in front of us were always lovely and clear. The traffic always seemed to be behind us.....
🤣
Not so now then, zipping along....😀

Listening to other ppls tellys is the one that gets to us. Ppl don't realise how loud their TV is and that caravan/motorhome walls are thin.
Yes, and the cab radios especially.
Good advice! 👍

Great advice Bob & Jenny, some people are incredibly selfish & intolerant.
Yes, I'm probably preaching to the converted!
Thank you. I can imagine that you follow your rules. Great opening graphic.
Thank you
I think you 2 are immensely ADORABLE. What an adorable and lovely couple, going and enjoying motorhoming together ❤️ 💖
Glad I wasn't the only one who had to look Etiquette up.

🤣 yes that would do it
Flush the Elsan. It fries my head that people can’t manage that.
👍🏼 or when other people park across the front of your space!! 😤 - wouldn’t mind if they checked in to ask if it was okay first!!
Some great advice, good driving etiquette is a must when in a leisure vehicle. 😁 I’m a tad deaf, so have to be careful not to inadvertently have music or tv on too loud. 😊 Em 💜
Barking dogs and people who allow their dogs to foul empty pitches.
Poppy’s little face♥️♥️
Think she snoozed all the way through 🛏🛏

Thank you. My logo was created as a favour by a friendly graphic designer.
I dislike TVs being on loud, the deaf retirees we have come across on our travels in Spain were the worst noise offenders.
On the basis of this, I would be entirely comfortable with with you both occupying the plot next to us. Consider it is a free voucher you can cash in at any time.
Thank you!
Great set Bob & Jenny. A special mention for Poppy 😅
It can be so annoying when people cut across your pitch especially the odd one that takes the opportunity to peek in your window as they pass by 😠
I have a good stare back if they do that!
I don’t like doors facing each other
Unless it's ours? 😬😊
@@BobEarnshawMoHo of course lol

@@TimmysFavs you really have to wonder why they’ve relaxed this rule. Definitely in my top two for a rubbish experience🧐

Hi Bob & Jenny , got to say I thought the cover photo was brilliant! Made us titter.
Great tips from the master 👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Agree it’s all common sense, just wish people would use it sometimes 😂 And Poppy looked so cute snoozing on her/Jenny’s chair 😊

A nice change in vlog type. Could do with more along a similar theme
We do a themed video once every month as part of the collaboration videos.
Apologies, I was not aware but still nice to see a refreshing theme 👍🏻
Always wear grey or navy blue.
I try...🤣🤣🤣
