This is not a journey. No tents, no canned food, no bonfire. I didn’t even swim in the sea. So the question is. Is it really so beneficial to sell an old motorcycle in the Netherlands? It is obvious that this is a distillation for resale!

Noraly, in 1944, before I was born, my father “critical landed” on the Isle of Vis off the border of Croatia. The runway he landed on was 15 feet of metal grid and a pilot had only one opportunity to land and stop safely, hence “critical Landing”. The people of Croatia were called “Partisans” and were fiercely loyal to their independence from the Axis powers,. There were over 300 airplanes there, all pushed to the side as trash and never flew again, when my Dad landed he had 20 gallons of gas left and over 50 bullet holes through the body of the plane. All ten crew made it safely to Vis and It was a story my Dad loved to tell me and my sister. The people of Vis saved my Dad’s and crew’s lives.
When we drove down the coast of Yugoslavia back in 1976, there was an underground cave near Split that we visited that felt like a Disneyland experience! All sparkly and glittery with glistening stalactites and stalagmites sticking up and down from everywhere!
My Dear parents went to Yugoslavia before the peace bridge was destroyed. It was the highlight of there travels, thank you, they are no longer, but a fond memory.
Wonderful videos, Noraly. One trick I learned for very hot days. Pour water on your synthetic t-shirt, just keep ventilations open, it'll cool you down a lot with the wind (And T-shirt dries very fast :-) ... Love your stories and the joy you emanate, stay cool !

I am from Slovenia and believe this is how Balkan works every 50 or so years we need to fight a bit to get our problems out :) If you want to know how it looked like during war drive few kilometers from main coastal road in Croatia ("Jadranska magistrala") inwards and you will find houses that still have holes from war.
Ahaa...Croatia...I just love that country...I visited Croatia in September 2014 for a whole month...from North to south...awesome place! And very nice people. Fantastic towns...Zagreb, Rab, Zadar, Hvar, Korcula and my favorite...Dubrovnik! And the boat trips...awesome...and the beautiful ladies..

Wow! 200K subscribers. From what I saw on another YT channel Croatia has outstanding coastal roads. Try to catch some of it with the drone when the sun is low. ether in the morning or the evening. These coastal roads should also be cooler temperature wise. Totally in line with your preferences. Ride safe! 😎

Noraly, everyday is beautiful regardless of the weather but today even that was great. I've been touring on motorcycles since I was 18 years old and now almost 50 years latter I still love it. I hope your journey's are always safe and happy.
Was twice by car at Sveti Jure mountain in Biokovo Park. First in 2012, and last time in 2022. As you might see, road is very narrow for about half of the lenght, and you have to know how to reverse with just the mirrors to pass with oncoming cars. From 2021 at about half the way to the top, there is Sky Walk tourist attraction, and very most of tourists going just to that point. Definetely worth going to the top. In Mostar and Vodopad Kravica I was in 2012. I don`t know is Mostar has still as many war scars as I saw in 2012, but bullet holes in the buildings were really visible everywhere. And those little graveyards with pictures of young man just next to the sidewalks on the side streets of the town. Worth to see just to know why is shouldn`t let happend again. Dubrovnik and Split is good to see once, but as may you expect, those places are very overcrowded in the season (june - august). Thanks for the video and bringing back memories.

I think your combination of music choice accompanying the ride through the scenery on your trips is very skillfully put together and very effective and inspiring. Well done. In my younger days (at the time of the dinosaurs) I used to travel all over Europe on my motorbike but you have inspired a whole new dimension on adventure travel. Though I no longer have a motorcycle I'm seriously planning on getting my Land Rover ready for a long epic adventure...thanks to you. Look forward to your next video.

Years ago I went on holiday in Croatia in the neigborhood of Zadar when it was still Yugoslavia (end of the 80's). But I don't remember much of the country. I'm from Flanders, Belgium, not far from Maastricht.
Hiya. The best time to see the bridge by far is at night. When i was there people were floating candle's down the river and it was amazing to see. With out doubt some thing's come alive at night. From one female rider to another. and the next stage you're about to do. Take your time! Its the best coast line in Europe. Also when you get to Slovenia check out Bled Lake and Ljubljana canal market.

Bosnia was lined up to get in, Croatia was a place no one wanted to go, ha! Kinda like a Good or Bad restaurant! Only No Reservations! Yea, being a geologist gives you a different viewpoint on scenery! I have to thank Nick Zentner for that point of view! We're those bills all limestone? I see the restaurant used natural stone to build it too!
The bridge is built in 1566 by Sulejman the magnificent. Most (bridge) 10:35 sv. Jure at 1762m Also, built in 2020,there is a "biokovo skywalk",on that road, to sv. Jure
I went to Croatia in September 2013 and returned again a year later to visit Piltvicka Jezera national park. Hadn't got into motorcycles then but ever since I have, I've wanted to ride a bike through Croatia.

Wow! I've never seen so much bare rock. Not surprising there are so many stone buildings there. Farming must be almost impossible. Really beautiful place! Have a safe ride!
Inspired by you to ponder purchasing an adventure bike for touring. I'm afraid my 42 year-old BMW 90/6 wouldn't be good choice for long rides (seat is of questionable comfort and lack of a fuel gauge is problematic). The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is an option or an older BMW GS perhaps. Thank you for your videos - I really enjoy them. My wonderful wife would like me to relay that she thinks you have beautiful eyes. Sometimes she watches the videos over my shoulder and, well .. after 27 years of marriage, I learned to do what she says.

Hiya. The best time to see the bridge by far is at night. When i was there people were floating candle's down the river and it was amazing to see. With out doubt some thing's come alive at night. From one female rider to another. and the next stage you're about to do. Take your time! Its the best coast line in Europe. Also when you get to Slovenia check out Bled Lake and Ljubljana canal market.

Inspired by you to ponder purchasing an adventure bike for touring. I'm afraid my 42 year-old BMW 90/6 wouldn't be good choice for long rides (seat is of questionable comfort and lack of a fuel gauge is problematic). The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is an option or an older BMW GS perhaps. Thank you for your videos - I really enjoy them. My wonderful wife would like me to relay that she thinks you have beautiful eyes. Sometimes she watches the videos over my shoulder and, well .. after 27 years of marriage, I learned to do what she says.
