That movie was impressive. I almost felt sorry for that German soldier in that last scene.I'm a ww2 buff. My step dad fought in the Us. Navy against the Japanese. He didn't talk about it much. I salute him for his service!
Bless the German soldiers??!! That building they were in, they are the ones that tore it up. They tore up as much of the country as they could. How would you like it if Russia was your country? They fought to take land and liberty away from others. They fought because they thought the Slaves were an inferior people. Well, those Germans got owned. Damn every single one of them! Many got what they deserved. Unfortunately, not all . . . I give absolutely huge credit for the Germans to revise their thinking and way of life to get to where they are today. Now they are a great credit to the world.

I love all these short ww2 film especially the germans even though im american i still would join the german war machine they were tough and look sharp doing it.
This film was way better than your first one. I still have some critique but first the things I liked. I liked the first shooter's perspective from behind the gun, showing the Russian coming up on Schmidt towards the end of the movie. It reminded me of playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The movie was a lot like playing Wolfenstein, only in reverse. First, you lose your MG 43, then your Carbine, your Rüger and in the end, you are down to a knife. The soldier finds himself trapped in a prison that was once a fortress and he is being hunted by a faceless enemy. It is a microcosm of what was going on in Germany towards the end of WWII. I really liked the details with the dust and things blowing up in the background, and the jiggly camera made it feel like I was there. I like the way the door blows off at 2:49. Good dust and fire special effects. You did a good job of concealing that the weapons weren’t actually being fired. I like that you got the condition of the soldiers’ right in the movie. They were pretty dusty. I guess the actors own their own uniforms. If that were the case I wouldn’t want it to have tears in mine or fake blood all over it. Some people complained in the comments because the haircuts were too long, but it didn’t bother me so much because I figured they didn’t have barbers following them around on the front line and the helmets covered up most of the hairdos. You did really well by not filming many Russians. It was a great way to allow the audience’s imagination to fill in for what could not be done with casting. Could you imagine the casting call for Russian soldiers? “Yeah, we need like a thousand guys in uniforms, and they have to pile up on the ground five high. We are making one of those German movies where a lot of people get killed.” It would have been a tough sell and a huge budgetary obstacle that you worked around successfully by not casting many Russian soldiers. Finally, I like the variety of German dialects used in this film. (5:14) It adds some authenticity you don’t see in American films about this era. Now for the things I did not like so much. The English subtitles did not hit the mark and were often more confusing than helpful. German weapons of the era were the best of their time, but they were always jamming up in your film. Maybe this happened more frequently as the war went on. Good job making it look like the guy is actually firing the machine gun but would they have really needed a soldier just to feed the ammo and one who could not take over if the operator gets killed? The muzzle flashes added in editing look like the 1960s special effects. It appears that you used the same building that was in The Corridor. You did a good job by adding fire in the background, even though the building looks like it has a concrete ceiling that never collapsed. The building did look too modern for the period but for me, the graffiti was the most distracting. In particular, the scene where Jäger Schmidt is puking and it says “Aus der” on the wall behind him. I was wondering what the rest of it said, “Aus der Übelkeit”? The German soldiers seemed really confused and indecisive, undisciplined and incompetent. I hope you don’t think Germany lost the war because of the average soldier’s incompetence because you really make that generation look like a bunch of buffoons. I think you maybe don’t give them enough credit for the bravery and the excellent soldiering they did. It was Hitler’s schizophrenia and insistence on directing every aspect of the war that lead to the most problems. For example, there was the hand grenade scene where the guy gets killed. I heard that in WWII the hand grenades had 5-second fuses, and so Americans and Germans would toss them back and forth. I guess the Russian grenades had up to a 4-second fuse and later versions were adjustable, but I don’t buy the way the scene played out. The German soldier ran towards the grenade, then past it in order to get shelter out in the hallway. He yelled at his buddy, Heinrich kind of as a second thought. It seems like an act of cowardice and stupidity, especially because he could have tossed it out the window in the time it took him to get all the way out into the hallway. Another confused and conflicted character is Fritz Brenner who seems to like to sit and cry a lot. I understand he was just a kid, probably a Hitler Youth that got drafted but he has never had any weapons training. He has never operated the MG 43, which is the most powerful weapon in this movie and one that is not running out of ammunition. You just point and pull the trigger. He tried to run away both times his machine gunner got killed, but when he is given his freedom by Frederick Müller, he sits there and cries. Why does the lieutenant make Müller go ahead of him? Isn’t the whole idea of leadership taking the point in dangerous situations? That’s the kind of arrogant attitude that gets you fragged, but then later you see Müller doing the same thing to Schmidt. I wonder how often fragging actually happened in the German army. If it had happened often enough, the war would have come to an end sooner than it did. Maybe there were more instances of fragging towards the end of the war, but it went against all the Germans had been taught, or at least that is the American impression of the Germans as an Untertan culture. These unbelievable behaviors aside, there were massive continuity errors in the plot and things that just glaringly made no sense. 6:50 - The lieutenant tells Müller they are retreating. Gather up men and weapons and come back. Müller gets Johann and Schmidt and heads back to meet the lieutenant. 8:00 - Johann is inexplicably missing. One theory is that it was Johann who got shot, and whose carbine Müller went back for. If the lieutenant is actually the third man in this scene, then it still a mystery why he decided to go with Müller after ordering him on a mission. Note: Back at 5:14 it is noted that the Carbines are low on ammunition. Why would Müller risk his life going back to retrieve one? 8:04 - Change of plans. Lieutenant Schoeneberg is now leading his men upstairs to a more strategic location and tells Fritz Brenner to go back and man his machine gun post. This despite the fact that he has never fired one. 8:46 - Why would Müller have given him the carbine he took from the dead soldier? Just have him go back and make his retreat while shooting Russians with the MG! My God! You could pick it up and shoot it by hand. And why would the Lieutenant give a shit about losing a fucking carbine that they had no ammunition for? I would have been more upset about letting the MG fall into Russian hands! This lieutenant must have been a real moron. 10:09 - Lieutenant Schoeneberg gets shot for trying to make his men stay and fight. Plus he was being a dick about the Carbine. He told Müller to handle Brenner and then bitched about the way he did it. 11:14 - They are mysteriously now in the basement. Müller gets shot in the leg while giving covering fire for Schmidt. He then gives Schmidt the shitty pistol he got off the Lieutenant and tells him to go on without him. Why didn’t Schmidt go back for the machine gun, and where is Brenner now that Schmidt needs him? Schmidt makes his escape, sort of, and Müller ends up dead unless he is just faking it. The Russian pokes him with the tip of his rifle but never puts a bullet in him so I guess we will never know. Schmidt has three bullets for the Carbine and then when it runs out of Ammo he decides it’s time to kill himself with the pistol. He was ready to blow his own head off, but when that failed he pulled out his knife. I was at least expecting him to point it at his own stomach and decide against suicide by saying, “Fuck it, I’m not a Jap”. But there was no explanation given as to why he then chose to go on fighting.
Hi. Zitat: I was wondering what the rest of it said, “Aus der Übelkeit”? That was "Aus der Traum" written in coal or chalk. It was a soldier's admission that the war seemed lost. You complain about the behavior of the soldiers. I think that in such a clear situation, many soldiers did not always act logically, but also in panic. The same applies to the situation with the hand grenade. You put a lot of effort into interpreting the film for yourself. Thanks for that. Everyone understands the film differently.
@@gsp-film Thank you for responding. I spent about 4 hours writing that yesterday and when I was done I wondered what for. If you can gain something from it then it wasn't a waste of my time. I see what you are saying about acting in a panic situation. I just think everyone should act like a West Point graduate and keep cool and controlled under fire. I don't know if my super high standards are in order here or if I have spent so much time idolizing the German military that I simply can't accept the human side of war. You bring a unique perspective to war stories, and one that draws me in and makes me feel like I could be there. I deal with frustrations on real life with people who do things the wrong way. In this sense your films are more realistic than the idealized Hollywood versions of combat. Yet with all of that having been said I find it ironic that it is the Germans who are deconstructing their history into a less glorified version and the Americans who want to keep the German military on a high pedestal.
I knew a woman and she hid her husband in the attic because he was a police officer. She was forced to house some german soldiers and they knew he was in the attic but they did not care. They hated the war and were very friendly. They loved her french fries and eventually said to her we know your husband is in the attic but we don't care and will not rat him out. So they even gave her sugar and butter and sigarettes; They were not all bad, just young people who wanted to get out of war. He came out of the attic and became friends with the german soldiers. But when the allies came they fled and she never knew what became of them.
That was, a tale and a great script that demonstrated the man and the hero, the hero and the coward and it questions the reasons given for fighting, killing and sometimes, following orders may be the worst thing you can do, especially when it may end with loss of life, and yours! Berlin from a German viewpoint. The officer was clearly out of his depth and cared nothing for the lives of his men. I think a film should be made about the fighting in the East as a testimony to the dreadful loss of life on both sides.

Once again a awesome short film! Going to take me awhile to watch them all lol. A couple of the firearms used I own myself. Have a PPSH 43, here in the US it is sold as a pistol and most are converted to 9mm instead of the 7.62x25 Torkarev and semi-automatic. A company in Poland has converted them to fire semi auto only, then send to be sold here in the US. The stock is welded shut and a few parts are missing from it. They do that here because unfolded it is considered a "short barrelled rifle" a NFA item. I could get it unfolded, but I have to have a extra background check and have a NFA tax stamp. Ill just leave it as is. NFA items here in the US are, short barrelled rifles, silencers and full auto's. Sorry for ranting, I love the old military firearms, especially foreign.
These are all very well done. Sub titles help allot. Two problems, the re-enactor's uniforms are always clean, and the German soldiers always loose? I want a happy ending sometime.

Hallo Basti.
I love those films, they try to say, not all of them was agreed with Hitler. A lot of German soldiers who died everywhere, had families ,friends and hope to go back to their houses. That's why was some German officers who brought a bomb in Hitler office!!
I love this kind of movies , the Germans were great fighters but they got to cocky thinking we are invincible. Not knowing the allies weren't quitters or fools ,
Using the K98 for street and house to house fighting was getting clearly out of date. The Brits with their .303 had the same problem. The Soviets were far ahead on the Germans in this department. StG44 too little too late for them. Majority StG44's could make up if their MG42 was out of action.
Your both right. But there’s multiple things that caused WWII. Both your reasons. Japan bombing Pearl Harbor. Because we declared war on Japan, Germany declared war on us.

Very nicely done! But why the quality of the movie looked blurry?
Thank you for your praise. The film was made with a simple film camera. 2010.
Where are the empty shell casings? Very good otherwise.
well done guys!
INTENSE !! ☝🙏
A very good ending, well made
Film ist richtig gemacht...realistish!
Some great short movies.
MEIN GOTT!!!!!!.....................................................................
Great film !!! Loved it !
I love those films, they try to say, not all of them was agreed with Hitler. A lot of German soldiers who died everywhere, had families ,friends and hope to go back to their houses. That's why was some German officers who brought a bomb in Hitler office!!

Hm
Do you use real weapons or deactived ones ?
Airsoft guns and deactivated Weapons.
What a really funny and so stupid question - are you really stupid - so first think, then ask - okay ... 😂😂
Love these wwII films! Keep it up guys!
Danke!
Dobar kratki film.
I guess he didn't hear his breasing at the end ))
Could you make a film where German Fought Against our Polish army?
Music by Lisa Gerrard?
Yes
Intense!
Gripping stuff, but I WOULD like to have seen some Soviets bite the dust!
War should never be.
Guter Film
respect from poland
Danke
Did you know that the ww1 began because of the shooting of one man! Archduke Ferdinand of Austria Hungary! Which in turn led to ww2! An absolute fact.
What led to WWII was France and England forcing the reparations from Germany. If it hadn't been for that there probably wouldn't have been WWII.
Your both right. But there’s multiple things that caused WWII.
Both your reasons.
Japan bombing Pearl Harbor.
Because we declared war on Japan, Germany declared war on us.
Fantastic creepy world war 2 scene movie.
that guy from 6:24 looks like the history secret guy
Excellent-danke
Why do German use single action bolt rifles in a modern war?
Super👍
Sad
Frag the LT. Old school.
Fantastic!!
Germans are amazing
good film
Well done, !
