- Haley Reinhart, accompanied by her father on guitar, performed a 2-song set at Chicago's famous Chess Records studio as part of the virtual music festival '(De)Tour' - a fundraising event benefiting NIVA (National Independent Venue Association www.nivassoc.org) and 'MusiCares' (www.grammy.com....
Both these organizations were created in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic to help struggling independent venues and their staff that were shuttered for the entire duration of the health crisis.

I’m 56 years old I went to about 150 Grateful Dead concerts I’ve seen Neil Young Carlos Santana traffic Allman Brothers Tedeschi trucks band and so many more I can’t even name them. I’ve been to over 1000 concerts in my life. I’m not trying to brag about that at all, I’m just making the point that while I love music there’s not a whole lot of it that surprises me anymore.
Just sitting here at home playing different songs struming along with my guitar and I stumbled upon this video. I don’t know the last time that I’ve been so moved, so shocked, so happy, so jaw-dropping impressed with someone making music from their heart. You and your dad just blew me away. Tomorrow morning when my wife and son wake up I’m gonna put this on for them and just smile. What you just did there was pure magic it touched into the heart of who we are and what we’re meant to be doing in this world just grooving on light and love and positive energy. Your voice and the way you sing connected with your dad‘s guitar playing and the way you guys are just obviously feeding off each other that comes out in just every note. I’m just so impressed and I feel blessed and honored that I came across your video and I look forward to hearing more from you. I wish you peace beauty and love. You’re for sure one of the good ones!

Virtually every major record label has approached her and negotiated with her. However, so far none of them have managed to sign her to a record deal. Hence, because she doesn't have a record deal, her original music, which is damn good, isn't played on the radio and she also can't perform on network TV. Hence, the inevitable result is she always remains very obscure and very unknown.

She's amazing. I've been singing for 30 years and she just blows so many singers away. Super soulful, dynamic and sexy. I love her.And daddy's not bad on that guitar either. She just needs to write her own hit to catapult her into the stars.
That second song she sang is an original. As she is an excellent songwriter as well vocalist. She just need to get out of her own way so she can sign a record deal and hit the big leagues. If she never signs with a record label, then she can forget it because she will always remain very obscure as she is today and her career will also always remain very mediocre.

It's one of the very few recordings with excellent sound quality. As most of her videos on UA-cam are very subpar because they were recorded and edited by amateurs.

When I listened to her album, LoFi Soul, I thought Haley has the spirt of Etta James in her. If you don't own the album, you really need to buy it, there's isn't a bad song on the album.
From the second I first heard her voice I knew she would be the powerhouse she is today. I never heard her American Idol stuff until way later. "White Rabbit" was the first and it was on UA-cam. I was having a night, one where some sugar cubes with additional flavorless flavor droplets may have been involved. I heard it and thought, " Holy Jupiter shit, Grace Slick would definitely grace this. Who is this voicehole grow back to?" Then "Creep" played... I had to pull over on the side of the damn road coz I couldn't see. Every hair on my neck was trying to stick to the seat, my gooseflesh had gooseflesh and I couldn't figure out why even when I looked at my steering wheel it looked like water running down my windshield until I realized it was my damned eyes that happened to be raining. I mean... damn.
She's legit about the music. She's an old soul for these times. And wears that shit like a badge of honor, as she should. Her parents definitely were destined to deliver, help cultivate and show her all the right things to make just a good frickin' person.
She's in a league of her own... An amazingly talented, beautiful and true to the art New Age Retro-Hippie love powered Soul charged Jazz Queen.
And years from now, someone will be saying, "wow. I can't believe I'm standing where Haley stood..."

42 year old bloke here and not much gets to me (except for when a dog dies in a movie). However when Hayley thanked her father I shed a tear. It was so beautiful to see. That is my one true regret. Never finding the right lady that would give me the honour of becoming a dad.
I believe she's still relatively unknown because she values her family.
She sings with her parents band Midnight, she takes her sister to Europe with her, and has her father as backup in many occasions.
He actually backed her up on American Idol.

Wow. This was fantastic. After the song "Can't Find My Way Home" ended Haley kept talking like the video wasn't over so I checked the time and it was only half way through. It was a pleasant surprise that we were getting two songs but if the video was an hour long I would have been ecstatic. I see Haley is in a new video and I just click. short story. used to work on a charter boat that was an actual tall ship three masted brigantine replica. generator failed over near Catalina. so after the Coast Guard dragged us out of the bay we were sheltered in, we had to sail old-school style back to Long Beach.
the charter that time was a local band who wanted to shoot a music video on the island. so middle of the night, full moon out, and the only sound being the wind and waves slapping the hull, the band starts playing various songs acoustically. but the stand out was 'Can't Find My Way Home'

Ive never loved listening to a singer more than Haley... and thats saying something. In my early 60s and have heard some legends sing in person. But Haley can do any kind of music and make it sound like that genre is all she does. Remarkable. 🤘

The reason you have never heard of Haley is because for years she has held herself back by refusing to sign a record contract and without a record contract, she always remains criminally under exposed and consequently, very obscure. Meanwhile, if she ever signed a record contract, she'd quickly become a mega star.

This is such a great video because as a long time fan, we rarely get to watch a professional quality video of Haley Reinhart performing live. As this is the first one in many years.
I wish she would sign a record deal so we could all get to watch her on far more professional quality videos. Those homemade videos, with piss poor editing and piss poor sound are getting to be very old. But that's the best we can expect unless she finally signs with a record label. Not to mention that she has nothing to lose either and everything to gain.
