It's 09-04 2019 and I just purchased one for live streaming. Why does it only show color bars? Any idea? I have a 64gb sd card in, and it is charged and recording to it fine. I even tried directly connecting my HDMI cord to my tv and that works fine. Only when I try to stream to FB live, or OBS or even Skype thru my U-Tap HDMI, then it gives color bars.
Ive got one of these. Works pretty good so far, but, i seem to have problems with glare in the display, even when the sun is indirect. I have tried adjusting the lcd light to no avail-any advice?

I found the culprit. I had a "bad" HDMI cable from the camera to the U-Tap. Replaced it and it works fine!
