Can you practice with each other and just block every attack and boost your skills that way? I'm still unable to play due to hardware issues but collecting my knowledge for when I do get to play again. I've been getting used to this kind of play style while playing Elder Scrolls V using only bows and melee until I have time to diagnose my hardware issue.
You can upgrade your skills by doing practice fights but it's REALLY slow. You can probably get away with that regarding the first few levels but you're much better off using books later on
