    Nicely done. Great to see a vendor willing to work with their customers, and do the conversion in stages.

    I love everything about this van especially the color! I had a bright yellow Ford Escape for years and I always felt really safe in it although somebody did rearend me in it. How could they not see that bright color? Great job on the interior😊

    When cross cutting thin veneers a strip of tape can minimize tear out. I liked the way you finished out around the skylight.

    Are you on vacation yet, Brian? When you come back I would like to know what kind of insulation do you use for the small places near the floor in your Transit van? I need to insulate down below because I’m using a heater in a campground but there’s quite a lot of condensation building up near the floor on the sides. Anyway, thanks. Happy Holidays 🎄.

    Is the cedar stained / treated with anything? Or left untreated? Looks great as always!

      Untreated at the moment the customer wanted to find there own environmentally safe sealant.

    Hey dude, it is nicely done. The only thing I don't like is that the woodwork is too thick. It takes away at least four inches of room from the roof and the walls. So it makes an already small space even smaller. I think If you could have done the same thing with an inch of wood then that would have been better. Just a thought.

    • @SolidWoodWorx
      @SolidWoodWorx 3 роки тому

      There is not 4 inches of wood anywhere. The side panels on the walls are .5" of ply and .25" of pine tongue and groove and curved with the van body. the ceiling is maybe 1" from the van interior shell, so also as tight as possible.

    Beautifully done. How much does this type of beginning build cost, approximately? I know price varies by size, but I'm thinking of getting a Sienna and would like to insulate the vehicle and put Cedar in too.

    The only I dislike is that there's still exposed yellow on the inside. That brightness would drive me crazy to look at. But if they didn't ask for carpet there it must not matter to everyone else.

    Have you ever done a kia soul build? Super small and tight, but I think it's possible.

    • @lylestavast7652
      @lylestavast7652 3 роки тому

      @@secondact7151 well, gotta put a solar panel and Thule somewhere... and at least having a gap between the panel and skylight, they'll get some light but not a lot of solar gain through the roof...
