She seems to be settling in well...she growls but that seems more as a warning “ I don’t quite trust you yet”. Not that she’s afraid. The fact that she let Sasha touch her with the fuzzy stick shows a lot of progress. It takes time to build trust, but it’s happening!

My gosh.. everyone is so knowledgeable about what Ichel needs, and what should be done with her, and on and on. *Cats do not like change.* Period. Everything has to be done in small steps, and she has to be kept away from Messi and introduced to new things a little bit at a time. She's becoming familiar with the fact that Sasha provides the food, and that is a very important step in gaining her trust. She's still wary, but not to the point of 'fight or flight'. That's why Sasha can actually be in the same room with her. She is starting to settle down, but it *WILL* take time. She won't be rushed into anything. I don't think she's had much interaction with humans before this (other than feeding), and plus she's 10 years old, so it will take a good while for her to warm up to anyone... if she ever does. Many baby steps and hopefully she will relax a bit soon. I really appreciate you guys documenting her progress almost daily, and I hope she eventually comes around.😉👍
Thank you all. I have dealt with cats for many years, and I see that Ichel's living space is purpose-built as a minimalist environment with few distractions. Like I said, cat's do not like change, and this way Sasha can introduce things a little at a time... blankets, new toys, etc. The room is warm and has windows for her to see the outside, and she gets occasional adventures outside to sniff around and get used to her new world. I think it is a brilliant approach to getting her trust and training her properly.😉👍

Давайте не будем драматизировать и прогнозировать, думаю, что Саше и Маше удастся в полной мере адаптировать Ичель к проживанию в семье. Сравнивать её с Месси не совсем корректно, там другая история.
@@enotiy Кошка такого размера убьет человека при необходимости. Только образ жизни эволюционно заложил гепардам предпочитать ретироваться при опасности - травмы нежных беговых лап гарантированно означают смерть от голода. Поэтому и гиены часто в одиночку отнимают у гепардов добычу.
@@outtime4057 Гепарды слабы физически. Они длинные, высокие, но у них нет мощи, чтоб побороть крепкого мужика, достаточно не пустить его к своей шее, а это его единственное оружие. И да, в общем то гепарды никогда не пытались убить человека.

Her territory and needs are priorities now, and each time her fear and distrust are met with gentleness, respect and kindness, she learns. Eventually, she may learn that danger and intimidation are not part of her present experience. I recommend seeing videos of Anna Breytenbach, the animal communicator who interacts with many animals, birds, even sharks. She helped save a rescued zoo leopard named Diablo, who was renamed Spirit. Life-changing for this beautiful cat, certainly for me and others who marvel at healing possible even after a lifetime of trauma and deprivation. I send my love to all here, and all who care about the needs and rights of our fellow creatures ✌️🙏

Саша,она не киса,она больше собака. И ей холодно на улице. У нас даже зимой днём +25 ,ночью иногда бывает +5 зимой .но таких дней в году может 30 максимум. Остальное время лето. Она же африканка. )
А мне кажется,что видя палку,Ичель ожидает какую-то команд у.Команды нет и она в растерянности,не понимает,что надо делать и что от неё хотят.А от не постоянно чего-то хотели . Может,общаясь с Ичель меньше говорить,а произносить отдельные слова,чтобы со временем она понимала,что от неё требуется.Пусть бы она выполняла отдельные трюки,которые знает. Перед едой,например. И тогда бы её жизнь была более осмысленна. А не валяться днями да прохаживаться по вольеру.
Саша, Ичель не стерва. Она обиженная и напуганная кошечка. Глаза очень умные. Какая же красивая! Я так и вижу картину: два красивейших грозных зверя у Ваших ног около камина. Ммм....слов нет. Ичелька шедевральная красотка!
Я как-то на улице увидела сиамского котёнка. Узнала, что он ничейный. Котёнок был дикий, ближе чем на 2 метра не подходил. Так я эту кошечку (кошка оказалась) пол года потом приручала, прикармливала. Она на меня шипела похлеще, чем Ичель на Сашу. Постепенно привыкла. Но доверяла только мне. Никого больше к себе не подпускала. Забрала я эту кошку домой. Так она теперь самая ласковая, добрая и преданная. Мне кажется, что у них как у людей - чем тоньше душевная организация, тем животное более закрытое и осторожное. Когда поймут, что можно доверять - становятся самыми преданными в мире.
Ischel's progress is wonderful! She's so much calmer when you come into her area -- not much hissing and far more relaxed than she was just two weeks ago. She's settling in and accepting her new quarters as her home -- congratulations on bringing another beautiful cat (and they're ALL beautiful) into the Dimetriov family! Прогресс Ишеля замечательный! Она намного спокойнее, когда вы входите в ее район - не так много шипит и гораздо более расслаблена, чем она была всего две недели назад. Ichel is getting more comfortable. You can tell. She is able to sit and lay down partially while she's hissing which must mean she's realizing she's safe. What a beautiful cat. Great job guys!
6th day and she's already pretty comfortable - given her age and that she is in a totally new environment, surrounded by people she does not know. Yes, she is timid and hisses, but she is not mental like she was later when she started to loose her sight. Things might have developed pretty good had she not become ill. I love this cat. RIP Ichel.

My gosh.. everyone is so knowledgeable about what Ichel needs, and what should be done with her, and on and on. *Cats do not like change.* Period. Everything has to be done in small steps, and she has to be kept away from Messi and introduced to new things a little bit at a time. She's becoming familiar with the fact that Sasha provides the food, and that is a very important step in gaining her trust. She's still wary, but not to the point of 'fight or flight'. That's why Sasha can actually be in the same room with her. She is starting to settle down, but it *WILL* take time. She won't be rushed into anything. I don't think she's had much interaction with humans before this (other than feeding), and plus she's 10 years old, so it will take a good while for her to warm up to anyone... if she ever does. Many baby steps and hopefully she will relax a bit soon. I really appreciate you guys documenting her progress almost daily, and I hope she eventually comes around.😉👍

Thank you all. I have dealt with cats for many years, and I see that Ichel's living space is purpose-built as a minimalist environment with few distractions. Like I said, cat's do not like change, and this way Sasha can introduce things a little at a time... blankets, new toys, etc. The room is warm and has windows for her to see the outside, and she gets occasional adventures outside to sniff around and get used to her new world. I think it is a brilliant approach to getting her trust and training her properly.😉👍

Давайте не будем драматизировать и прогнозировать, думаю, что Саше и Маше удастся в полной мере адаптировать Ичель к проживанию в семье. Сравнивать её с Месси не совсем корректно, там другая история.

Кошка такого размера убьет человека при необходимости. Только образ жизни эволюционно заложил гепардам предпочитать ретироваться при опасности - травмы нежных беговых лап гарантированно означают смерть от голода. Поэтому и гиены часто в одиночку отнимают у гепардов добычу.

@@outtime4057 Гепарды слабы физически. Они длинные, высокие, но у них нет мощи, чтоб побороть крепкого мужика, достаточно не пустить его к своей шее, а это его единственное оружие. И да, в общем то гепарды никогда не пытались убить человека.

Her territory and needs are priorities now, and each time her fear and distrust are met with gentleness, respect and kindness, she learns. Eventually, she may learn that danger and intimidation are not part of her present experience. I recommend seeing videos of Anna Breytenbach, the animal communicator who interacts with many animals, birds, even sharks. She helped save a rescued zoo leopard named Diablo, who was renamed Spirit. Life-changing for this beautiful cat, certainly for me and others who marvel at healing possible even after a lifetime of trauma and deprivation. I send my love to all here, and all who care about the needs and rights of our fellow creatures ✌️🙏

Это то что я говорила ,палка лишняя. Ну и конечно она будет Машу больше любить. У Саши есть Месси и она это тоже чувствует.
Саша,она не киса,она больше собака. И ей холодно на улице. У нас даже зимой днём +25 ,ночью иногда бывает +5 зимой .но таких дней в году может 30 максимум. Остальное время лето. Она же африканка. )
А мне кажется,что видя палку,Ичель ожидает какую-то команд у.Команды нет и она в растерянности,не понимает,что надо делать и что от неё хотят.А от не постоянно чего-то хотели . Может,общаясь с Ичель меньше говорить,а произносить отдельные слова,чтобы со временем она понимала,что от неё требуется.Пусть бы она выполняла отдельные трюки,которые знает. Перед едой,например. И тогда бы её жизнь была более осмысленна. А не валяться днями да прохаживаться по вольеру.
Саша, Ичель не стерва. Она обиженная и напуганная кошечка. Глаза очень умные. Какая же красивая! Я так и вижу картину: два красивейших грозных зверя у Ваших ног около камина. Ммм....слов нет. Ичелька шедевральная красотка!
Я как-то на улице увидела сиамского котёнка. Узнала, что он ничейный. Котёнок был дикий, ближе чем на 2 метра не подходил. Так я эту кошечку (кошка оказалась) пол года потом приручала, прикармливала. Она на меня шипела похлеще, чем Ичель на Сашу. Постепенно привыкла. Но доверяла только мне. Никого больше к себе не подпускала. Забрала я эту кошку домой. Так она теперь самая ласковая, добрая и преданная.
Мне кажется, что у них как у людей - чем тоньше душевная организация, тем животное более закрытое и осторожное. Когда поймут, что можно доверять - становятся самыми преданными в мире.

Ichel is getting more comfortable. You can tell. She is able to sit and lay down partially while she's hissing which must mean she's realizing she's safe. What a beautiful cat. Great job guys!

6th day and she's already pretty comfortable - given her age and that she is in a totally new environment, surrounded by people she does not know. Yes, she is timid and hisses, but she is not mental like she was later when she started to loose her sight. Things might have developed pretty good had she not become ill. I love this cat. RIP Ichel.
